Physical Description:
With a soft round face accentuated by her distinctive facial features, Shalla presents a rather comely and pleasing appearance. Among the young women of Pern, she stands slightly taller the average female at five foot six inches. She possess a slim figure with slim arms and shoulders, a modest bosom and a nicely defined waist. She is naturally lean and athletic. Just one of the many genes inherited from her mother, her expressive dark brown almond-shaped eyes are without a doubt her most recognisable facial feature. They twinkle with delight and excitement whenever she finds interest in something, and the twin brown orbs emote expressively in times of happiness, anger and sadness.
She wears her heart on her sleeve, with her emotions out in the open for all to see, and her eyes are clearly evidence of that. Her complexion is fair and likened to a shade of creamy ivory. Her dark jet black hair is an excellent complement to her pale skin which possess no scars or blemishes upon them. While she usually lets it down, she is not adverse to tying it up into a ponytail should she require more of a free of movement while engaging in any form of strenuous physical activity. Shalla favours a simple and functional dressing type, and she tries to avoid fanciful dressing whenever she can. She is usually seen in a tunic and trousers but will be in a simple formal dress if the occasion demands something more formal than tunic and pants.
Personality:
Shalla has always been more of the reserved sort. She has never been the type to show or express her emotions easily, but when she does, you’ll know that it is absolutely genuine. This also leads into the fact that she is not a talkative chatterbox, but that in turn also makes her a great listener. When she’s quiet, she’s observant. That makes her a great considerate friend to have, as you’ll always know that they’ll be there to listen to your rants and whines without judgement. It’s not exactly that she is always silent, it’s more that she is taking the extra time to acknowledge her thoughts. She recognises what she is thinking and takes the extra time and effort to stop and reflect on it. This can work as a double-edged sword, but it is not something that she can change easily for a matter of fact. Shall is friendly and easy going, and is not a difficult person to get along with. She is polite and seldom rude, both to her peers and elders.
She pursues an active lifestyle with plenty of energy to spare and likes to pursue anything that catches her interest and attention, and can often be found doing activities usually deemed for boys. She’s in the habit of proving that she’s just as good as them or better, and has proven herself in more than a few occasions in that enough of the boys have recognised her for the fact. Shalla’s is also known to be incredibly stubborn and prefers doing things her way.. She is also rather forgetful and tends to forget things, especially dates and numbers and is usually absent or late for some event or other because it had simply slipped her mind. She tends to be unpredictable in the sense that one can never really know what’s on her mind, mostly due to the fact that she doesn’t really show her emotions readily and she is not an easy person to read.
Shalla does have a compassionate side to her though, and likes doing little things to show how she feels about her friends and loved ones where words would fail to describe how she feels for them. The saying actions speak louder than words is very much in tuned with how she behaves as she is not one who is very expressive when it comes to showing how she really feels.

History:
Shalla was born the oldest of four children to Kallorn and Shaya. Her father, Kallorn was a Journeyman Cook that worked hard for the hold and his family. When she was born, her parents were happy, after all, this was their first child, and seeing their own flesh and blood for the first time gave them plenty of joy. This feeling of his would eventually diminish when he got more children, but fortunately for little Shalla, she got to enjoy the most of it being the first. She was raised just like so many other children and her other siblings as she learnt her craft like her parents before her. She learned very early on how beneficial it was to make a good number of friends as the most you have meant that you would have the most fun, and anyone that knows Shalla knows that she is all about enjoying that fun.
Most would have known her as a quiet, pleasant and easygoing child. She was introduced to the concept of death, when Shalla lost two of her closest friends very early on in her childhood to illness treated way too late for them to be saved.When she first heard of stories about the Dragonriders, Shalla decided that she loved dragons. She began to found friends that also loved dragons and had similar dreams and goals of eventually being searched and being candidates. In the mean time, she continued to work on improving her cooking and baking skills, learning whatever recipes she can, and experimenting on various others.
Despite all of the good times in her craft, her one true wish of eventually being a dragon rider has never once left her mind. Every single turn, she continues to hope that she would eventually get searched by a dragon, so that she would be one step closer towards fulfilling her dreams of impressing and being a dragon rider. Undeterred by the lack of success so far, Shalla continues to wait and bide her time, knowing that if she is patient enough, luck will finally come her way.
A turn after she turns eighteen, Shalla eventually gets her wish as she is searched.
