Haruto took around a minute or two in the restroom and it felt good after having the call being taken care of. The waiter then washed his hands; it's a common sanitary measure for employees to do that before heading back to work. The hand dryer was then utilized for the skin to be dried off, and the blasting air from that machine was hot, though not hot enough to withstand the cold. He then emerged back to the table that he occupied with Sharon. No new customers yet, obviously, and it may be a good thing, at least for now. He sat down while noticing that the woman had started eating the food that was served to her by his hand. Considering the temperature outside, the time for the food to become cold would be a bit faster than usual.
"Well, regarding your question earlier, I don't think the customer is allowed to meddle with the song choices, unfortunately. While some people don't like the choices, other clients may end up enjoying them. Gotta deal with what's available," he frowned, resting his hand against one of his cheeks, "That one aside, what do you think of the food? Is it delicious?" Best that the topic for the conversation was switched to something else considering that there was not much he could do about music choices, which was a shame, really. "And I may end up ordering something for myself on the house. It's about time that I should get warmed up as well."

"Let the song of life guide you to the place you wish to go."
The food was enough to distract Sharon when waiting for Haruto to come back. The taste bursted in her mouth, though gradually got cold due to the outside weathe even without any air conditioner to speed up the process. The thing that she disliked was heat, so eating cold things were fine. To be honest, she did not need to eat before. This type of actitivies only happened to blend in and as a hobby, but it gave her joy at the same time. Perhaps it was something of her past, where she had great preference for eating. "Yes, it's very nice. I enjoy the taste." The dish smelled great and tasted nice was considered good in her book. Her eyebrow quirked at the "on the house dish". "Ah, quirk of being an employee here, is it not?" It was light teasing on her part, but with her usual serious expression it did not seem to be so.
Her eyes wandered to the radio as Haruto gave the answer for her question. Her expression did not change at the answer, but the light in her eyes dulled somewhat. She was a bit disappointed. "That is too bad. I do understand the reason for that."

That small music inconvenience aside, Haruto was glad that Sharon enjoyed the food so far, and it had brought a smile to his face, "I'm so glad. Who knows... there may be a seasonal special coming up soon, as soon as this weather won't be this bad." Because of the weather, some plans for marketing and adding a new seasonal item or two had to be on hold for the time being. But at least the cafe would still be open as a safe haven in case people would need shelter from the cold weather. The feeling of being secure was one thing the cafe was ailing for as long as the necessities would be provided to the customers who needed them. "And while it is nice that food is one perk of being an employee in this cafe, I still need the extra tips to come around in there would be other future expenses going along. Tuition money being one example."
Indeed, being a working student was a suffering, but he had to persevere somehow. With that being said, he stood up, having to brush up the bottom of his uniform. "Anyway, time for my meal and for your bill. Be right back," he spoke before standing up so that he could approach the cashier for the receipt, alongside the meal that he was intending to order for himself. It took him a few minutes before he returned to the table so that he could hand over the bill to Sharon, "Here you go. Are you going to pay with cash? We actually don't accept credit or debit card payments at the moment because of the connection problems." Yep, that's another setback because of the weather being that bad.
