Physical Description:
M'ay has light brown skin that always seems to have that perfect tan without being brown and wrinkly. She stands on the shorter side at 5'2". She's always been somewhat thin with a narrow build giving her that constant bean-pole look. Her eyes are a dark brown of an average sized. Her hair has grayed prematurely, although a few strands of brown remain. She keeps it short and curly.
Personality:
M’ay is a law unto herself. She will often pick the opposite side of whoever she’s talking to just to disagree and get an argumentative debate going just for the sheer pleasure and sake of it. The woman does it in a way that’s droll to make it oddly amusing to the spectators. She likes everyone to have a good time. M’ay is shrewd at judging the people or situation and calling when enough is enough. Just as quickly as she starts an argument, she’ll end it on a humorous or friendly note.
The bluerider often acts imprudently. She shows no care, forethought, or judgement to her actions. M’ay prefers to live for the moment and believes things will work out in the end. When presented with a serious dilemma, she can look at both sides objectively. M’ay prefers to look free of bias and base her opinion solely based upon the facts presented to her. She is equally fair to all, regardless of rank. Punishment shouldn’t be meted out or held back just simply because one rides a bronze or is the Lord Holder’s child.
Despite being a rider, M’ay can be a bit greedy. She enjoys the finer things and enjoyments in life. As a rider she believes she’s entitled to them. If she sees something she wants, M’ay isn’t above trying to get it. She will go so far as to poke dry humor and words at the party who has what she wants in the hopes she’ll get her way. While she won’t steal it M’ay can make a nuisance of herself until the person caves or she’s told firmly she’s not getting it.

History:
Miraylor was born to a small holding beholden to Western Weyr. She saw dragons fly over almost every day, but none usually landed. Her parents quietly tended to their fields. Her father occasionally got drunk. She had three siblings. Her oldest brother became a wherhandler to protect the holding. Her younger siblings were happy to tend the holding under their parents.
When she was 17, a dragon made a rare appearance to the holding. It was her lucky day though for the dragon found her acceptable to become a candidate. Miraylor quickly found herself moved to Western Weyr. She settled in fairly quickly and enjoyed chasing after the male riders. Miraylor liked to comfort those male riders who "lost" a flight. It was no surprise that she had her first child, a son, when she was 18. She named him Jemisaive.
It was a hard Turn when she couldn't Stand during her pregnancy and afterwards. Afterwards, she realized she could discretely ask a rider for a quick hop between. Eventually she left Jemisaive to the creche to resume her duties as a candidate. Not long after that, another baby came into her life.
This one was blue and shattered his shell. He looked at the other candidates with irritation and gave a snort. Come away from these lesser candidates, Miraylormine. You belong with me, your Othivth. She almost couldn't believe this beautiful, annoyed blue was hers and hers alone. She led him away from the hatching sands to tend him. Miraylor decided to shorten her name to M'ay.
Several turns after her impression, her daughter was born when she was 21. She raised her daughter as much as her duties allowed. Her oldest child was a bit of an enigma to the young woman, but when Jemi wanted to go to the Harper Hall when he was 11 Turns, M'ay took him there herself. She frequently checked in on him. It was with mild surprise on one visit that she learned he'd been searched for High Reaches Weyr.
She made sure to be there and watch each hatching at the weyr. M'ay was attending the hatching at High Reaches Weyr when Jemi was 16. To her delight, one of the greens came forward to claim her son. She couldn't have been prouder. After the Hatching ended, she congratulated her son on his beautiful dragon. M'ay stayed for the feast, then returned home. She continued to visit once in awhile until his dragon was old enough that he could come visit her on occasion.
It was a shock when Thread returned. M'ay and Othivth have been training hard to do battle against the ancient menace.

Physical Description:
Despite being large for a blue, Othivth is compact. There is no extra length anywhere, short and squat describes him perfectly.
Personality:
Othivth is a blue that like the depth of the stars that cover his body, he will never reveal his secrets. He is mysterious, and knows it, and that’s just how he likes it. Nor will he ever reveal his riders. Othivth doesn’t usually have much to say. He is content to watch and listen to others though. Many may find him a willing ear to their woes. He might not be full of sage advice, but he might give you the chance to come to your own decisions.
This blue lives to be stealthy. His favorite time to fly is a dark, star-lit night where he blends in the best. He often coaxes his rider on moonlight flights. When it isn’t dark, Othivth can be found in the deepest shade he can find.
He has a hidden strength. Where his rider is imprudent, this blue is constantly assessing everything going on around him. Othivth helps to steer his rider out of any morass she finds herself in. He also acts as a dependable break on his rider’s greediness. If it really isn’t something she should have, he will talk her out of wanting it.
