Was it luck, or some other strange fortune? Sure, Silvaria had come from a well-off family, but there was no way at all her parents would have gotten her a house in the wealthier districts in town. Her hunt to collect books had just begun, and she expected some sort of a challenge. "This is too easy.." the young witch thought aloud to herself. Silvaria read over the note again, wanting to thank the person who helped get her a house in such a beautiful neighborhood.

After an exhausting morning unpacking and figuring out the whole 'job' situation, Silvaria decided to treat herself, for today was her birthday. Humming a bit, twenty or maybe thirty minutes went by before Silvaria had finished baking a small cake for herself. "Heh.. happy birthday to me." She didn't seem to care she was talking to herself. The house offered a sense of security, who would hear her?
After helping herself to a slice of cake, Silvaria decided to try her own handiwork. It wasn't the prettiest looking meal, but it was certainly delicious. A sweet start to a special day. A witch is only going to be 23 once, right? Might as well make the most of it. However, a sense of urgency washed over Silvaria. Even though she hadn't received word on whether or not she got the job at the library, it only felt right to go back. She hoped no one else was expecting introductions. This was her birthday, and right now, she was in the mood for a good read.
After cleaning any mess she made, Silvaria put the leftover cake in the fridge. When she opened it, Silvaria took a deep breath. "Ah, crisp and cool.. Just the way I like it.. You should like it in here." With this she closed the fridge and left the house- locking the door behind her. Even if this was the fancy district, Silvaria took no chances.
