____ The Land of Iron is a cold, harsh and unforgiving place. However here within the walls of the Steel Sanctuary people may finally find some semblance of peace and safety. The high walls protect it from assault and the even the layout of the city itself was planned with the defense of the city in mind. Outside of the walls to the north is a mixture of farmlands and cleared forest area to provide clean lines of sight for the guards upon the walls. To the northwest lies the main gatehouse of the city, Seihara Gate. On the northern side of the city lies the second gate, the Nora gate. To the east, and north of the river, lies the SOLAS NAME gate. The final gate is located inside of the city, separating the castle from the city as the last defensive hard point, SAIKO NAME gate. Within the walls of the city, there are eight districts.The northern most district within the walls, is the residential district. This provides the housing for the cities residents. South of that are two crafts districts. Directly in the center of the city is the market district and gathering area for the city. To the west of that, lies the first of two dockyards, south of that being the second dockyard across the river. To the east of the second dockyard complex is the merchant district where various business deals are conducted by the merchants within the city. To the east of that tucked just against the wall is another crafts district for the blacksmiths and material artificers in the city. The last district within the city, is the castle district which houses the leaders of the city and serves as the armory and mustering grounds for the towns guards in case of emergency. Outside of the walls, to the north east, is the farming district snuggled up against the walls for protection and bordered by the river for easy irrigation and watering of crops.
