Comment: First attempt at pancake art. Color balancing and trying to keep them from browning and ruining the color were by far the hardest parts. I still feel like they shoukd be more pink. Flavor is amaretto and there is a strawberry whip on top for a tad bit of sweetness while also adding more pink.
Comment: forgot how much I like watercolor. Also forgot how ******** hard it is to paint while working on an assembly line. emotion_awesome Got it done with 10 to spare, so take that fridges!

Day: 5 Theme: Markers
Comment: Markers are not my best medium so i wanted to just be loose and try things. Did free form perspective stuff(also not typically my best) and worked with tone and style of marker. It looks underwhelming for the amount of time put in. Im a potato at markers.
Comment: posted in thread but failed to post here. Sorry.

Day: 7 Theme: character with a quirk
Comment: Meet Danielle 'Dani' Keen Charismatic and bold teenager with a windy quirk. Mostly manisfestation though also manipulation. Limitations are focus(loss of focus loses force of wind as it dissipates) and air tight environments primarily. Solid matter either goes through her elemental form or is whipped away by her currents. She hopes to help aid in getting fires under control, cut down pollution, and aid any harder hitting heroes in their time of need.
Comment: I wasn't sure how much time I would end up spending on finishing it. Between OCD shading and the aura I went over an hour. Marker and watercolor only. Irl art shimmers.

Day: 13 Theme: deer quest
Long ago in a forest glade Lived a girl and deer in shared space. One preferred her quiet home The other loved to explore alone. Neither knew what would happen that summer day.
A wizard, lost and on a quest Saw deer and girl and took a weary breath. "Dear girl and doe help me so, This ring I bear has need to go Beyond the western mountains crest."
Both deer and girl shared a look Was this wizened man mistook? For cervid and child are ill equipped To cross a mountain pass or cliff. Before a protest broke their lips the man produced a book.
"Within this tome contains much power Brought from my home in the northern tower, You both are but a youthful soul But trust in me you each have a role." The girl's eyes widened and the deer cowered.
Once the pages started to turn The girl and doe began to learn What power magic could contain. Color erupted like a bursting rain Swirling the world around them in a churn.
With eyes shut tight the two did fear Of what became of girl and deer But when the child found an inner voice She knew her fear would have no choice For their safety and quest she must see clear.
Their wooded home was all but gone Instead lay before them a pristine pond Crags of rocks adorned the rim Jagged as a earthen crown like trim. Somewhere near began an eery song.
Deer leapt wild at the startling sound. The girl ran close across the unstable ground Her foot gave way into the waiting pool. Bubbles burst from her forgotten tool The wizard's relic was bound!
Floating to the surface with ease She looked forth to find her friend did cease, For across the peak she saw the doe Balancing on one hooved toe Upon a narrow rocky sheet.
"Don't move!" The girl howled in worry Scrambling to her feet in a hurry. Gathering up her weary friend They embarked on their sudden journey again. Up the windy path they scurried.
"Not much more," she said with hope For she knew not the distance for which she spoke. It was enough to find deer's courage inside. The timid cervid sped on to be a mountain guide Leaving behind it pebbles and chalky smoke.
A hut appeared within their view They gasped at the sight of something new. Perhaps an end to this tumultuous day? Maybe too soon to dare to say. A change for sure for the motley crew.
The door was ajar leaking forth a warming light A silhouette stood waving them in from the coming night. Her hand reached out to grasp their own To lead them into hidden home The mistress of the mountain knew she had it right.
"My goodness did he send you two? That husband of mine is in for it, Oooh. He knows it is his turn to watch the west, Instead he sends you two in jest. Now what am I to do?"
"Send us home?" The girl asked cautiously. "We are from far away, you see. The wizened husband sent us with haste We hand you the ring and end this chase? May we return at once Ma'am please?"
The witch looked upon both and gave a sigh. "I suppose you are right, his problem is mine. I apologize for this jarring trip." "We are alright, it built character and our friendship. What more could neighbors hope to find?"
She smiled as the two did grin "Maybe one day we shall meet again." Waving her hand a mist did pour Obscuring vision until the mountain was no more. The two held tight as they began to spin.
Deer's eyes opened first, too curious is she, Grass and logs and animals and trees! Home once more, an end to the madness! She realized for a moment, stopped by a sudden sadness. Looking back to the girl she had once sought to be free.
With a nod of her head and a hop in place The deer did let know they may share this space. One forest was enough to share For a doe and kindly human pair Especially two who bond while displaced.
Comment: spoilered for length, not content. Wanted a cute limerick poem quest. I think I did alright. Also, bonus kittens as promised. meet Zuri
