Abilities
Speak with Dead: Lingering spirits go unseen, unheard by most, but Sonata can perceive and communicate with them. If spirits linger long enough, their will and memories may imprint into the surrounding area and create a haunting; she can tap into these phenomena to learn secrets and history.
Touch of Decay: All things, living or not, can and will succumb to death and decay; Sonata can expedite this inevitability. A touch is all it takes for her to begin the process of breaking down matter at a cellular or molecular level. Living matter starts to putrefy and grow fungi and bacterial colonies, inorganic matter will crack and crumble. The process is slow, and the area it affects is small - not suitable for combat.
Strike the Soul: Armor and superior physique can be a problem for someone as frail as Sonata; in situations where combat is unavoidable, she can strike at the very soul of her opponents. Physical contact required, and the effects must accumulate over time and several strikes. Victims of this ability suffer first from fatigue, and as they continue to receive these strikes, their physical prowess starts to suffer: weakening of the muscles, blurred vision, nausea, headaches, and finally, unconsciousness. Non-lethal, mainly implemented for self-defense.

Biography: The Asphodel Meadows are meant for those with mediocre lives, and each Shade residing there had nothing to distinguish themselves from the others. But Hades was not without its share of realm-shaking events. Invaders, heroes from the land of the living, gods stomping around in fits of rage...quite often something would slip through the cracks. This lonely Shade saw an opportunity to hitch a ride across the 6 rivers separating the land of the dead from the land of the living. Sonata woke up cold and alone, but finally able to feel again. Still caught somewhat between two realms, she spent the next few decades growing accustomed to her new body and life.
