- Lie detection: A walking lie detector, when James focuses his psychic energy he can tell when someone is telling a lie or the truth. He needs to actively use the ability and using it for too long can cause him serious headaches and migraines.
- Telepathy: Using a link formed with someone he can send his thoughts to someone he has a close bond too and read their thoughts as well. Once again using this for too long can put a massive strain on his mind with the added problem that he can lose consciousness if used for too long. Personality: James is a man of justice. A genuine altruist at heart, he has dedicated his life to protecting those who cannot protect themselves. He has a strong sense of empathy for victims and while it is considered extremely unprofessional he does tend to make each case personal so that he see's it through to the end. That being said while he has a strong sense of empathy he is not much of a people person, he's very guarded and doesn't let people in easily due to the danger of his profession. Not only that but James also deals with severe homophobia in the station and it's made him weary of forming any close male bonds for fear of the other person being harassed by the other officers. He knows how to deal with people like them but since he has the ability to stand up for himself as a fellow officer he's not worried about anything from them, however he knows that other people are not nearly as lucky.

Biography:
Jamison was born and raised in Fantaisie his whole life. From a young age James had learned of injustice as he suffered from the typical scenario of an extremely abusive Father who would go from work to the bar and by the time he came home at night he was a raging drunk. His Mother was a psychic medium, something she had kept a secret for a very long time. So when her Husband found out he treated her like a freak and beat her for "Lying to him" and if he didn't beat his Wife then he would beat his Son since he was convinced that he was a "freak" like her. But despite this horrible treatment his Mother stuck it through and taught James kindness, love, compassion, and how to see the light even when all seemed dark. She did her best to raise James to keep a good moral compass and not follow in his Fathers hateful footsteps. As he grew older James would discover new things about himself, namely his sexuality. He had come out to his Mother rather early in his life and she didn't care at all, she loved him no matter what. On the other hand his Father had only found out when stormed into his son's room one night since his Mother was out and saw his son on the computer looking up adult content. From there James's beating became more severe to the point he had broken bones and needed frequent Hospital visits. He had begged his Mother to have them just pack up and leave, however his Father had overheard them talking and threatened to kill both of them if they ever left him. And to prove a point he would wrestle his still young son and held his head in such a way, pointing out that he could snap his son's neck without any problem. The threat fresh in their minds they felt trapped in their house, he had enforced new rules that limited their contact with the outside world. He would control his family with an iron hand. Finally one night his Mother had tried sticking up for her son during a beating, begging her Husband to leave their son alone. Instead he turned on her and began to beat her down, screaming obscenities at her and blaming her for "Making their son soft and a f*****t" as he so eloquently put it. James had reached his breaking point however and when his Fathers back was turned he grabbed a knife and stabbed it into the man's back, severing his spine and paralyzing him from the waist down.
After calling an ambulance and the police it finally came to light and once he was treated, Jame's Father was put on trial for the abuse and death threats. He and his Mother were free at last. His Mother got a job again and was supporting the two of them comfortably. After so many years, they were both happy as can be and his Mother even found love again despite the abuse that she suffered. James was leery of the new man and it took a long time but the teenager would eventually grow to care for his new Step Father. He was the father figure that he lacked his entire life, he was kind, patient, and understanding of what the two of them had gone through. As far as James was concerned, he was his Father and not that man who was rotting in prison infirmity for the rest of his life. Eventually James went on to become a police officer, to help those who can't protect themselves just like himself all those years ago. At first his time at the Precinct was nice, everyone respected him and his dedication to the job. However he quickly found it part of it was because as one of his coworkers put it "He didn't act or sound Gay" and so they had treated him well. But he soon discovered that there was deeply rooted homophobia at the precinct and he was all but ostracized by his fellow coworkers. There has been multiple times where his promotions were given to someone else even though he was much more competent than the other person. James has tried reporting it to the higher ups but with no proof and the bold claim that was summed up as "Everyone at this place including the Chief is homophobic" he was shot down and told not to waste their time. So these days he ignores their blatant hatred in favor of quietly and slowly collecting evidence, secretly bugging key places around the precinct to collect audio and physical evidence so that reform and change can be brought. You cannot expect change unless you take the first step, that has always been his way of thinking. He took the fist step by attacking his Father that night and it changed his life forever. James has wanted to investigate the recent string of disappearances however as he is just an Police Officer and not a police detective he has no way of actually assisting in the investigation. This however doesn't stop him from poking around from time to time.
