[B] Distant Gaze x

Yawning hugely, Distant Gaze stretched out her limbs before settling into a sitting position, flicking her tail over her legs. It had been some time since she realised she was moving a little slower, tiring a little quicker, and the healer had gently informed her she was due offspring. She was unsure of what the future held for her and her young, but her friends and family around her gave her the reassurance that she'd have plenty of help when the time came. Still, it was hard not to imagine their futures over and over again. With her own parents so close to her, Distant knew it was unlikely that her children would have the same relationship with their father. She was thankful at least that Trace the Stars would be there for them the way he had been for her and her siblings, and she knew it was the norm for parents to not know their offspring that well, but living with all her family around her made them seem all the more important.

“My dear, you’re simply glowing,” Roses in Bloom called, emerging from the brush to come join the other doe. There was a twinkle in her eye and a smile on her features as she came to rest nearby, a similar position as she folded her legs beneath her to sit. She regarded the other doe, and tipped her head to the side.

“May I ask after your name, please?”

Distant blushed shyly, ducking her head. She was glowing- inwardly as well, full of pleasure at the thought of bearing her own young. "Thank you," she mumbled, flicking her tail back and forth over her flank.

"It's Distant Stars," she said, dipping her head respectfully to the stranger, "You honour me with your visit," she added, blinking gratefully at the doe. It was special to receive a visit from a legendary kimeti, after all.
