Medical - Nurse

With a sleepy yawn, Nozomi was up before the sun had even risen over the horizon. That was all part of being a nurse. Rubbed her eyes gently, she headed inside towards the hospital. Greeted the others, she made her way to the locker room. Her hands went to take off her sweater as she had on was the tight body suit that also came with the lower face mask. Gently, she folded the sweater and placed it inside the locker. Then she got out a shirt that shows that she was of medical-nin staff. Closed the locker, she headed towards the schedule to see where she would be working at today.

It seemed like routine physician care. With that, she headed towards the lobby and saw several people were waiting. With a smile behind her mask and her eyes were ever so soft, she headed into her room. Glanced around, it seemed clean but it always to be safe than sorry. Imagine if she didn't do this. With that, she cleaned the medical tools, changed the paper and threw away the other one and make sure everything was in good shape. Her hues glanced towards the clock. It was time to call patients in. Headed out, she called out a name and an elder lady stood up and slowly made her way in with Nozomi's help. They had a nice conversation about the weather and how the flowers were growing so well. The elder lady even spoke how scared she was when this entire land went up in the sky. That was understandable. She was born and raised Kirigakure so imagine her thoughts and reaction to finding out she was going have to live in a village so far and above. When they were in the room, she sat down the lady on the chair instead of hopping her up, Nozomi can help her from the chair anyways. Nozomi gathered the history of the patient and reading the charts. It seemed she had history of lung issues. With that in mind, Nozomi asked the woman why she was here today. The elder lady complain of a cough. Nozomi nodded and explained what she was going to do. Putting the stethoscope in her ears, she asked her to inhale and exhale, and sure enough, there was the cough. Her lungs had a bit of fluid. She was getting close to having pneumonia. With a smile, Nozomi explained she can treat it no problem and the elder woman gave her consent. With that, she does the hand seals as she placed it on the lady's back and sure enough, her lungs started to clear up. The elder woman let out a sigh of relief and thanked Nozomi. Nozomi smiled and helped her out.

Headed back into the room, she changed out the paper and made sure the tools were clean. Once she was sure that the room was clean, she headed back out and called in the next patient. This one was limping. Concerned, Nozomi got the wheelchair and wheeled him to the room. When she was wheeling him to the room, they went ahead and talk about his history. He seemed to have a good health record from what he said. But she still wanted to double check with his chart. Closed the door behind her, she checked through the charts as they were talking about building the buildings once it was destroyed. It seemed he was one of the builders who usually donate and spend his time helping people rebuilding their homes and schools. Nozomi thanked him and now it was time to get to the point. She asked him what happened. The man laughed sheepishly as she rose her eyebrow. Then he told quite a tale. It seemed that while he was building a house, he had found a nest. He wanted to take a peek at it and had no idea that the momma bird was returning from hunt of food and was coming back to feed her babies. Imagine his surprise when the momma bird started to dive bombing and pecking him and he had to move fast. Sadly, he misstep his footing and rolled his ankle and had to hang on to keep from falling and was trying to dodge the momma bird at the same time. With a soft smile behind the mask as she checked his lungs and the wounds that the mother bird had left. They were minor. She asked him if he wanted her to heal those? He turned it down, they were small and already scabbed so it'll be gone in few days. He just wanted his ankle taken care of so he can get back to work. With a nod, she checked his ankle, turning it in certain ways to figure out if it's muscle or bone. Then she preformed medical diagnosis. It was a nasty sprain. Easy. She healed him and asked him to stand and feel around and how it felt. He got up and bounced on his ankle a bit. He thanked her and escorted himself out. With a soft smile behind her mask, she started to put in notes on the chart to what it was and what she did. She hopes that momma bird was okay and the babies too. Maybe they will leave that building alone and work on the others until the babies were old enough and leave their nest.

Placed the chart down on the counter, she made sure to clean her stethoscope and removed the paper and placed it in trash and pull out another sheet. Headed out of the room, she handed out the chat to one of the staff and thanked him. She always made sure to thank people for their efforts and their work. She called the next one. It was a pair of parents with their baby. They seem to be okay but then again, never judge anyone. Nozomi had to learn that the hard way when she was younger and at Kirigakure. Kirigakure... was certainly a village that was meant to either make you or break you. Leading them to the room, she smiled at the sweet little child as she asked the parents question of their history so she could get a good idea of the child's history. Their history seemed pretty normal. Had a few colds here and there. Broken bone or two. Sounded normal to Nozomi at least. They were here just for a check up on their daughter. With a smile, she asked them if she can hold her. They nodded and handled their little bundle to Nozomi. Its amazing how people just seemed to trust you upon finding out you are a medic-nin. She smiled and cooed at the baby as she does the usual check up. Lungs? Beautiful. Pulse? Amazing. Skin and other features such as eyes and nose, were in great shape. Nozomi had fun playing with the young baby with her stethoscope. After some time, she asked the parents if the child had been update with her vaccination. They said yes but Nozomi checked the chart to make sure it was true and it was. With that, she handed the daughter back to the parents with a clean bill of health as she opened the door for them and they headed out. Stayed inside, she cleaned once again, this time sweeping. It was good to sweep every now and then even if there was nothing to sweep. Removed the sheet she added another sheet upon the medic table and cleaned the tools once again.

Grabbed the chart, she handed it to the staff and grabbed another chart. She called out a name and glanced up. There was no one. She waited for couple of minutes and said the name again. Then someone emerged from the bathroom, looking extremely pale and holding her stomach. She called the name once more and got the female's attention. Ah. That has to be her. With that, she escorted the female into the room and closed the door behind her. The woman started off already complaining about the constant diarrhea she had been having dual with vomiting. Nozomi quickly wrote on the chat and tried to read over the history as much as she could. With that, she got up and placed the chat on the counter as she opened the cabinet and scroll through the medicine. She asked if the patient had tried pepto. Yes didn't work. Nozomi nodded. Time for something stronger than. She found it. Imodium. She asked the woman if she tried it and she said no. Nozomi nodded and explain to her how ti would work. She immediately get white in the face as her cheeks puffed as Nozomi, swiftly and quickly grabbed a trash can and handed it to her as the woman was dry heaving. Poor girl. There was nothing left in the stomach to come out. This sounded like a case of food poisoning. While the woman was resting her head on the rim of the trash can, Nozomi went ahead and checked her vitals. Besides the blood pressure running a little high. That was to be expect. Her body was naturally fighting something. The woman meekly asked Nozomi how to stopped vomiting since the medicine was for diarrhea. Nozomi shook her head, "It'll stop on it's own. Better out than in." Nozomi explained the benefits of letting the body take it's course. The female seemed to understand. Before the female left, Nozomi made sure she wasn't too dehydrated. Not too bad off but was getting close. Nozomi wanted to start off with an IV with saline to help and then send her home. She escorted the young girl to another room to get the IV and wished her best of luck as well reminding her to always drink water. Upon returning back to the room, she made sure to clean it deeper this time since she had someone who was sick here. The tools, paper, doorknob, everything and then she washed her hands. Three times. Up to the elbow.

[ Purification D, Diagnosis D, and Consultation C ] 12/30

With a soft sigh, she called onto the next one. It was a woman, she gave Nozomi a small smile which the redhaired female had returend to her. Letting her in the room, she closed the door and discussed with the woman. It seems that the woman complains of always being tired no matter what she does. While Nozomi takes her vitals, she asked her questions. The woman does work out but not too much. She seems to eat right and have enough hours of sleep every day. Nothing seems to change of how always tired she was. Nozomi then asked if she had any achy joints or anything of the matter which received a shook of her head. How odd. With that in mind, she took notes from the woman and asked about her previous history. It seemed that quite few of her family members had some time of auto immune diseases but they were all not the same. Hmm. That was concerning, Nozomi should work on looking up different kind of autoimmune disease. The tricky thing was, that this woman complained of fatigue. Almost everything out there, can cause fatigue. With a nod, Nozomi asked the woman for blood work to which she agreed. With that, Nozomi got up from the chair and opened the door for the lady. They both walked out and had a conversation about favorite foods on the way to the labs. When they had made their way there, she cleaned the injection site with the rubbing alochol. Opened up the needle package, she inserted it and then put the vial at the extraction point. It started to fill up. One by one, she had quite a bit of vials and that was that. Removed the needle and placed the guaze at the same time, she asked the woman to put her arm above her head for a few seconds and she did so. With that, she placed a band-aid on the woman and helped her out, informing her she'll send a message when she gets the results. Now that she was gone, she had to clean the lab area again. Made sure everything was clean, she herself went to the lab and decided to research this. While the blood was being run though, Nozomi was reading up on different autoimmune diseases that the woman could have. She doesnt have joint problems or organs.. hmm. The results was done and it appears that she doesn't have enough vit D even though she works at the farm. Her body could be having problems absorbing it. With that, she sent the message to her and informed her to take 5,000 units of Vit D. All done! It was time for her to go back upstairs and help out more patients. Hopefully that will help the woman not to feel so exhausted.

[ Diagnosis D, Purification D, Consultation D and Research B ] 16/30

Headed back up, she decided to go into the room real quick and clean it up. Sure she didn't do much with her previous patient in here but it was all part of the procedure. Besides, you never know, she could have something on her that could make another sick. With that all taken care of, she called for the next patient. He stood up and started to cough. Oh. He had been coughing for a while, she remembered hearing distant cough every now and then. Was it coming from this man. He tells hi in a scratchy voice. Yikes. This one was going to be fun. Once he got in, she closed the door and sat down by him as she checked his heart, lungs, throat and eyes as what normal procedure was to do. She also asked him questions. The cough just started. He explained he usually has sinus infections every spring and he usually get medicine before it got bad. This time, he forgot, ignoring his sinus headache and the mucus build up until it was starting to affect his work. Nozomi shook her head soflty and gave him a bit of talking to. It was important to get something early before it got worst. Then she informed him of the benefits of honey and how she has a bit of a farm that she was growing honey. Local honey are the best to help avoid sinus infections and allergies because the bees get pollen from what can cause it in that time. The man had no idea that honey could be beneficial besides just tasting good. Geez. Was she going have to teach the entire village of how beneficial honeys are? No matter. She prescribed him some medication and informed him to also have hot water with honey. He can always do hot tea with honey. Just something hot, with honey! The man nodded, showing he understood as he made his way out, hacking out another glob of mucus. Yuck.

[ Purification D, Diagnosis D, and Consultation C ] 19/30

With a shake of her head, she started to clean up the room. Even though sinus infections were not contagious, they still had bacteria and germs in them. Ripped the paper out, Nozomi pulled a new paper roll onto of the table. Made sure everything was clean, she called for the next one. A young teenage boy stood up and sneezed into a tissue. His nose was very red and his cheeks too. His eyes were puffy and he looked so exhausted and so tired. He even walked pretty sluggish. Judging by the sneeze, the sniff, and the way he was reacting, it's possible he has a cold and she wouldn't be able to help him. When she let him in and closed the door, she did the usual. She added his heart rate to the chart as well his blood pressure and other vitals information. He was complaining of the cold. COMPLAINING. He thinks he was dying. He just wanted life to end. Nozomi had to restrain from yelling at him. With her back to him, her eyes glanced towards the ceiling as she silently prayed to no one to give her strength. With that, she smiled sweetly and then turned around to him, listened to him complain of how he felt like an old man. How everything aches. How the world was closing in on him. Nozomi just nodded and let him vent. When he was done, she informed him that he simply has a cold and there was nothing she can do. However, he could help speed up the process by helping his body rest, move, heal, hot tea with honey, and so on forth. The teenager boy wouldn't accept that as an answer as he knows she was a medic nin and demanded to be cured. Had enough, she grabbed him by the ear and dragged him out and of the hospital, warning him if he comes back in, she'll make his cold worst! The sickly boy ran out.

[ Purification D, Diagnosis D, and Consultation C ] 22/30

With a shook of her head, Nozomi started to clean once again. Especially deeper this time. She does not want a cold and she did not want anyone else to get a cold as well. They were not fun and could potentially make someone severely sick. Especially the elderly. When she was done cleaning and opened the door, a nurse was standing right there. They needed her help down at the emergency room. Weird. It seemed quiet so what the heck happened? With a nod, she headed towards the emergency room.

[ Purification D ] 23/30

When she had arrived, Nozomi was honestly a bit surprised at the number of people waiting at the emergency room. Odd. With that, she bypasses the lobby and headed to the station and asked the nurse for a chart and she was handed one. Then it got snatched away by a higher up medic-nin who was a surgeon and he informed her that he needed her in the room to assist him. Nozomi, without arguing nodded as she followed him to the room as she grabbed a pain of gloves along the way. It seemed a man had a compound fracture and they needed to put that back in and stitch it up. Alright then. With that, she did a quick diagnosis of the patient and made sure he was strong and well enough to handle that kind of pressure and stress. With a nod to the doctor, he snapped the bone back in place as the patient started hollering. With a wave of her gloved hand, she cleaned up the blood as the doctor went to work with stitches. He seemed to be feeling better and just laid there in a daze. While the doctor went to work, she grabbed his chart and started to get information on his family and himself. Save for a few issues here and there, he was pretty healthy. It was a good thing that Arashigakure had tried their best to keep things healthy. Save for the Akimichi clan of course, that obviously made sense that they need to be bigger for clan reasons and their crazy suicidal jutsus. When the doctor was done, Nozomi stayed as the doctor went to next room and cleaned him up as well giving him a pair of hospital pants he could take with him till he got home and change it into something better. Nozomi warned him not to scratch the stitches and to check back with the doctor or nurse tomorrow and then again five days after. The man understood as she handed him the appointment reminder card as he headed off. Nozomi stayed and cleaned up the room by cleaning the tools, changing the bed sheets, threw away her gloves, and the likes.

[ Purification D, Diagnosis D, and Consultation C ] 25/30

Now that was out of the way, Nozomi headed back to the station and asked for a chart. Instead, the nurse pointed Nozomi to a room as she headed in. With a smile, she read up on the chart and realized that he needed to be update with the medications and what not. He seemed tired, just laying there. He was complaining of horrible chest pains. Honestly, reading more, it sounded like that he was having gall bladder attacks. She gets out the stethoscope and listened to his heart. It was a bit high. Figures, he was in pain so it would be naturally high. After done with the stethoscope, she checked his blood pressure which, was, to no one's surprise, slightly higher than normal as well. Leaving the cuff on his arm after it was drained of air, she asked him about the pain and listened to him. Then she asked him what he had for lunch. It was a big, juicy, spicy, jalapeno burger. Yea. That will do it. She asked what happened after that. Seems that trail of vomiting and diarrhea followed. The doctor entered and Nozomi explained what was going on and she also explained that she suspected that it's the gallstones as the doctor nodded and will order an ultrasound. With the possibility of surgery, Nozomi needed to get his background information. With the chart in her hand, she asked him questions and asked for any updates on his address, medicine, and as well his emergency contacts. There was a few changes here and there but nothing to the extreme that would affect his ability to get the surgery or not. The ultrasound nurse had arrived as Nozomi smiled and waved him good bye and wish him luck. She decided to go ahead and clean up the room. It wasn't the room she cleaned, she also cleaned the bathroom real quick as well. Oh man. It was a nasty explosive diarrhea alright. Poor guy. If it was gallbladder at least they can take care of that pretty quick.

[ Diagnosis D, Consultation C, and Purification D ] 28/30

Nozomi was getting a bit tired so she figure that she should just help out by cleaning at the moment and then head home when she was done. With that, she took off her lab coat and put it in the laundry cart. Her hands grasped the edges as she pushed the laundry cart out of the way and replaced it with an empty laundry cart. When she was done, she pushed the full one towards the elevator and they were going down. The doors opened as she grabbed a pain of gloves that was in a box on the side and pulled them on. Getting closer, she could hear the sounds of washing machines running as well the dryers. It was always hot down here, no matter how cold the AC was running. Shoving the sheets into the washer, she added the chemical to kill everything and started it. Once done, she took off her gloves and headed back up to clean up the tools.

[ Purification D ] 29/30

Entered into the elevator, she stretched and popped few of her joints. With a sigh of relief, she headed to a room specifically for cleaning the tools which can be tricky due to the fact that some of them were sharp. Obviously, there's no needles or anything of the like but there was few others that was being used in surgeries and needed to be fresh and clean before they could even be used again. Nozomi put on cut resistant gloves and started to work on washing them throughly. After that, they run them through extremely and insanely hot water that could burn a skin in no time. Possibly blisters and all. Her honey hued just watch the machine at work before turning it off and setting it aside. With the heat and the instruments being made of metal, it didn't take long at all for them to dry. The moment they were, she sorted them and done! With a trumiph smile, Nozomi headed out out of the hospital and home to rest before she got teaching classes.

Teaching - Genjutsu

To say that she was excited was a bit of an understatement. Nozomi never thought she would get here due to everything that had happened at Kirigakure. Nozomi always volunteered her time helping others, she never knew she would be out of her depression enough to finally do something around here and she was rather excited. Entered into the classroom, she turned on the lights and smiled softly. Her hues glanced up towards the clock as she made sure she had time. With a nod, she started to sweeping up the room to make sure no dust would bother the students. In few minutes she was done as she glanced around. What else was there to do? Ah yes. She could make copies of the worksheet they were going to do today in case students just happened to 'misplace' the paperwork. Meaning they tried to get rid of it. With a shake of her head, she paused for a moment and thought about sealing the paperwork with a jutsu to keep that from happening. Nah. She's not going to be that mean. She was a kid once so she's going let them be kids. Unless of course, it was to get out of hand and Nozomi would have to step in.

[ Classroom Preparation D x2 (D, D) ] 2/30

The bell rang as she just finished with the copies. With that, she headed back to her classroom. The students were good. They were quiet. Maybe too quiet. Hmm. She was going need the eyes on the back of her head for this but no matter. First thing first, she wanted to teach them the rules since it was the first day back in class and they were a grade up. Maybe that was why they were quiet. Usually first few days it's getting to know each other and the teacher before they start acting up. While Nozomi explained the shinobi rules, she made sure to ask questions such as 'Why do we have this rule?' and 'What if...' scenarios to keep the students on their toes. Sometimes the world isn't black and white. And she needed to prepare them for that. The bell rang as they changed classes, giving her a bit of a break.

[ Give a Lecture D ] 3/30

She had about 15 minutes. The break between hallways was a good idea, give the students time to try to socialize for a bit. While she was making sure she had enough copies, few students were already entering her room. Ah. Those are usually the outcast ones. The ones that doesn't have friends or want any friends. Leaving them alone to their own minds, she cleaned the chalkboard to get ready for the next lecture by spraying it with water and wiping it down. Then she constantly wipe it with paper towels to make sure that it was dry before writing on it. Sure enough, the bell rang for the next class and the chalkboard was ready. Turned around, she saw the seats were full as she smiled behind her mask and introduced herself and started the lesson that she had taught prior.

[ Classroom Preparation D ] 4/30

She gave the same lecture to prior. Teaching them about the shinobi world and it's rules as well the territories of different areas. She noticed that this one, students had more questions than the other and they really loved the what if situations. Nozomi needed to keep that in mind. Not all classrooms are the same. So the first one was more of listeners and answer while her second one was more involved, wanted to play out the what if scenarios. Nozomi originally was going to have all her classes be on the same lesson plan but maybe that's not how they learn. One thing for sure, it wasn't just the students that was learning, it was Nozomi herself too. They even got far as going up in front of the class and role-playing out different scenarios as they had a bit of laugh here and there and few very serious moments that even had Nozomi use her soft yet serous voice and the students were listening. The bell rang as the students zoomed out of their seats, ready for lunch.

[ Give a Lecture D ] 5/30

Nozomi watched the students leave softly as she waited for the last one to leave. With that, she closed the door and sighed softly. Not bad for her first day teaching! She was trying to decide whether to eat lunch first and then clean or vice versa. Hmm. It would make her feel more relaxing if she cleaned first. So with that, she pushed the chairs back under the desk while cleaning around the area and on the desk at the same time. She got the broom and started to sweep. When she was done sweeping the floor, she cleaned the chalkboard next, doing as she did before. Sprayed the board with water and wiping it clean as well dry. Looked around the room, she felt satisfied as she got out her lunch from the lunch bag she brought. It was a simple sandwich with a bag of carrots and an apple. She also had a container of honey. It was used to dip the apple in. Mmmm!

[ Classroom Preparation D ] 6/30

Glanced up the clock, her lunch break was almost over. She made sure to clean up her desk but left the apple slices out as she ate it one by one. She had enough time to finish it before the students arrive. The first two of her class was basic and new students. This one? They were a bit more advance and needed to learn genjutsu which what was Nozomi good at. At least she didn't lose her abilities with genjutsu after her death. She was so scared of that happening but it seemed that the genjutsu stayed and it made her extremely happy. As for her new found class, she was surprised to find out that she was good at sealing because before her death? She didn't understand it nor able to figure it out. Now she could and it amaze her. Death also changed her a bit. She tried not to show it but Nozomi honestly became a bit more bitter since then. Or was it because her fiance died? She froze for a moment and then shook herself back to reality when the bell rang. Students, slightly older than the ones she had before as she smiled at them and started to teach genjutsu. First, they were to learn about senses and how each of them work and explaining which basic genjutsu and how it affects senses. It wasn't just teaching the senses she did, it was also explaining more on the senses. And to be smart. She explained to the students as she walked around and felt all eyes on her. This was odd. She was not used to that much attention. Yet it felt right. As if this was what she was meant to do. By explaining what she meant to be smart, she explained further. She gave them a good what if scenario. She explained them to imagine if their arm was on fire. What senses would it be? One student answered visual. Very good. It was obvious that the target needed to see the flame. What else? Another answer the pain. Exactly. The target needed to feel the pain on their arm. It can't just be fire, it would make it less unbelievable. But she asked the student what was feeling? It was not a sense. The student corrected himself and said touch. She smiled behind the mask with a nod. And then she asked what else? No one answered for a few seconds so she answered it herself. Smell. A good genjutsu, you would smell the smoke as well the burning flesh. She saw some of the students squirm in their seat and others were more of a soft 'oh.' Nozomi explained to them not to worry and that they will continue to learn more.

[ Give a Lecture D x5 (D, D, D, D, D) ] 11/30

The bell rang and it was time for the students to go to the next class. Few of them grumbled and mentioned that they had wanted to stay and learn more about genjutsu as Nozomi felt so ... warm. Was that the right word? She didn't think she would be a great teacher but the students were enjoying the class as well herself. With a wave goodbye, Nozomi made sure to mention that she will see them tomorrow. Once the students were out, she had time to clean before heading towards the detention hall. She imagine it would be empty but teachers were to take turns on the detention hall because maybe some students wouldn't warm up to a certain person and every student was different. When done cleaning her room, she exited and made sure to turn off her classroom light as she headed down towards the detention hall.

[ Classroom Preparation D ] 12/30

Entering, she was surprised to see one student there. All grouchy looking and sitting in the back. Her eyebrow rose as the teacher sighed and got up from the desk. He approached her and explained what happened. It seemed that the student had got in trouble for disrupting the class by using a jutsu. How curious. Why would he act up like that? The teacher gave her a wave good bye as she nodded. Once the teacher was gone, she walked over to the student and sat down by him, resting her head on the desk on top of her arms and facing down. There was silence. Just complete silence. The student finally spoke up, mentioned how Nozomi was not like the other teachers. Her head rose but she didn't say anything. The student continued to explain that the other teachers were bothering her, asking her questions the moment that she had stepped into detention. That made since, it was all part of the routine, to figure out why the student did what she did but Nozomi didn't want to make the student talk. She wanted the student to decide to talk and sure enough, the student was doing exactly that. The young girl continued to go on about her day, how frustrated she was, and how she acted out. It sounded like a case of first day of school blues. It was also apparent that she was an orphan. Nozomi honestly, wasn't surprised. There was an attack recently. With a soft smile, she opened her arms and the student got up from the desk and let Nozomi hugged her. She explained everything. To why the teachers asked her questions because they care and why she was placed here because they wanted to help her and figure out what's up before she could be back in classroom. Nozomi also asked the young girl what she can do to help her. They tossed ideas back and forth and came to one conclusion. Taijutsu when she needed might help. With an nod, Nozomi told her to let's go meet the principal. Knocked on the door, Nozomi explained the situation and asked the principal if the teachers will excuse the student to the dojo to train real quick and return back to the class as soon as possible. They continue to discuss the plan as well the consequences if the student took advantage of this idea. It all went well. When they stepped out, the school was done for the day. The young girl quickly hugged Nozomi and then headed back to the orphanage.

[ Detention Attendant C ] 13/30

Nozomi headed back to the detention room. She was the last one to use it so she was going to be the one to clean up. Do they do this to all teachers that are brand new? With a roll of her eyes, she doesn't mind as she swept up the floor. Not that much to sweep up anyways, it was just one student and few teachers. She was sort of bored and didn't have plans in the afternoon so she decided to clean the desks. Might as well, why not? She also rearranged the books a bit.

[ Classroom Preparation E ] 14/30

Nozomi turned off the light and stepped out as she realized that all the other teachers had left already. First day of school, made since there was no homework or tests to grade just yet. Nozomi honestly cannot wait to start grading the homework and tests. With that in mind, she realized she needed to go back in her classroom. She forgot to get the next day ready. that's what she get for being a new teacher. The red haired female always believe that everyone learn as you go. She certainly had learned a lot today from the students and just being around. Who knew? Headed back into her classroom, she turned on the light and sat down the desk as she started to get the materials for tomorrow ready. It only took about thirty minutes. With that, she got up from the desk and pushed the chair back in as she turned off the light on her way out.

[ Classroom Preparation E ] 15/30

Brand new day, brand new morning! Nozomi was humming to herself, a soft lullaby as she headed to the academy. The teachers greeted each other quickly as it made sense. They needed to get their classroom ready. With that, Nozomi headed inside of the building as she made her way towards her classroom as she opened the door and turned on the light. With that, she grabbed the materials they were going to learn and placed them on the desk for the students to look at when they enter.

[ Clasroom Preparation D ] 16/30

The bell rang and the desks were filled up with the students. They already covered the basic shionbi rules yesterday. Today, they were going to learn about chakra and endurance. She explained the differences in them. Chakra was what casts techniques in general. Endurance or in other words, physical energy was better for taijutsu and bukijutsu users. She went on to explain save for some bloodline classes, everyone has chakra and physical energy. Some was to be higher, some was to be lower. No one was the same. A student asked her if they can be combined. With a nod, she explained that there are few who can combine. Everyone can combine but only few that was powerful enough to actually do it. With that, she asked them to fill out the worksheet before they head out for the day and raise their hands if they had any questions. The students went right to work as they answered the worksheet. The worksheet was basically a review of what they learned yesterday and today. She wanted to make sure that all students were on the same page. Just because yesterday went well doesn't mean everyone understood. She learned that when she was a student herself. There was some that was far ahead and others, not so much. This explains why sometimes her teacher goes back to reviewing sometimes. She needed to make sure to never point out who was behind.

[ Give a Lecture D x2 (D, D) ] 18/30

The bell has rung and the students turned in their paper on a slot that was on top of her desk as they headed out. Now she had few minutes break. She grabbed the worksheet and started to pass out onto the desks once again. She remembered that this group of kids was more hands on kind of kids. Pondered for a moment, she had an idea but she was going to wait until the students had entered into the classroom. She decided to clean up a bit more as she cleaned the chalkboard once again so the students wouldn't see what they were going to learn today.

[ Classroom Preparation D] 19/30

As the students entered one by one, she asked them to stand by their desk for now. Confused, the students listened. The bell has rung and all students were in. Nozomi then asked the students to push their desk against the wall, with the back ones first and then the next row and so on forth. The students, still confused, listened as they did so. So she doesn't have a rebel in this class. That was good. Nozomi wasn't sure just yet how she would do with a rebellious student. She did help a student yesterday but that was easy. She was nervous to see how full the detention was going to become later in the year. Shook her mind off the thought, all students had their desks back. She then asked students questions. Such as, did they do better with nin or gen than with tai or buki? She had them separated in group. The ones better with nin, gen, medic, etc was on one side of the room and other was better with buki and tai on the other side of the room. It was almost 50/50 not bad. It was always good to have variety. Then she asked the students what was the difference between them. They were quiet until one of the students piped up and mentioned chakra and physical energy. Very good. Nozomi went on explaining chakra and physical energy real quick. She didn't want to get bored. Now she had them pair up. There was two buki so they just joined as long there was one that was good at chakra in one group it didn't matter. Then she asked them how can they combine, by themselves? How can nin/gen/medic do taijutsu or buki? How can taijutsu or buki can do nin/gen/medic? They talked among each other and this was a good way of them getting know each other. Nozomi needed to remember to keep this in mind and be able to do this with first class. After all, teamwork was extremely important as Nozomi had learned from her Kirigakure days. They drifted away from the topic of how to combine, they got the answers right anyways and just chatted. While they chatted on the floor in the middle of the classroom, Nozomi passed around the worksheet and asked them to fill it out before class ended. They worked together. Five minutes till the bell was about to ring, she asked them to put the desks back and they complied while talking. Nozomi had to come up with ideas how to get the first class to do teamwork. This was going to be quite the challenge and she was looking forward to it. After the desks were put together, they started to hand Nozomi the papers that they did and left as the bell rung. It was lunch time.

[ Give a Lecture D x 4 ( D, D, D, D ) ] 23/30

Now it was lunch time. Happy with herself of how the day was going, she need to remind herself that everyday was not going to be this exciting. It will get harder later in the year as teachers like to complain about. Doesn't matter, she wanted to soak in this moment and remember it. Humming to herself as she swept and clean. Some of the desks and chairs weren't put back the way she wanted it to be so she fixed it herself. Smiling behind her mask she sighed softly. If Kumotake was still here... she shook her head. She didn't want to think about that right now. Once the room was clean, she had 30 minutes left until it was time for the next class. She got out a lunch bag. This time, she had a different sandwich, a bag of celery, an apple, and this time, much bigger tub of honey. It seems that she likes to dip celery in the honey too like she would for apples. While she was eating, she was putting away the first two classes paper work somewhere else and was getting the genjutsu one ready. Humming to herself, she went ahead and graded the other class. it seemed that they have good concept so far. No one was actually too far behind. One student or two was slightly behind but it wasn't anything serious and it's something she can fix up real quick. Her honey hues glanced up at the clock and it was soon time for the next one. With that, she cleaned up her mess and left out only the apple slices with the tub of honey for her to eat during her genjutsu class, again. She wouldn't be surprised if that's what her genjutsu students start to associate her with. The bell has rung.

[ Classroom preparation D x 2 (D, D) ] 25/30

The students had started entering into the classroom as she waited for all of them. The bell struck again to show that was the last ring as she asked the students to follow her. Wondering, they got up from the seats and headed to the door where Nozomi was headed. She asked the last student in the line to please turn off the light and close the door when they leave. The student did so as she walked them outside. It was a nice day. A bit too warm but it was really lovely. She wanted the students to log in what they are sensing. What was their touch? Some students said the wind, others said the warm sun. She nodded and asked them to put it down on their papers. Next, what were they smelling? They all agreed to one thing, earth. They could smell the earth beneath their shoes. With that, they went ahead and logged it down without her asking. What were they seeing? Boy, that was a bigger log because there's a lot. Some were simple such as glass and tress. Others were much more descriptive, going down to the last small bug hidden in the grass. What were they hearing? The bugs making sounds, the birds chirping, the winds rustling the leaves as well people talking from afar. They were talking it out an logging it down. What were they tasting? Few students stopped and were confused. They mentioned what they had for lunch and Nozomi asked them to go ahead and write it down. It was important to remember what they had because it may help them kai out if their taste change and they would be under genjutsu. It was then that the students understood her point to why she asked. It wasn't important to keep an eye on their surroundings but to remember what was their surroundings in case if they ever get placed under genjutsu. Then she asked them what they sense chakra wise. Some of them can due to their bloodlines but there was a few that couldn't and that was okay. When they were done, they had some time left so she let them socialize and hang out underneath the sun. Ten minutes left till class ended, she lead them to her classroom so they could get their backpacks and turn in their paperwork on her desk.

[ Give a Lectrure D x4 (D, D, D, D) ] 29/30]

Nozomi gathered up the papers and placed them onto her arm as well the tub of honey as she headed towards detention when the last bell rung. She opened the door and it was empty. That was good. She was hoping the young girl was doing better with that new plan. The teacher went to his class before the last bell rung cause had to teach as Nozomi sat down at the desk and started to grade the papers and as well reviewing them and try to figure out which student needed help with what. She had a spoon as she took a spoonful of honey now and then. All done. Nozomi leaned back and just cleaned odd spots here and there until she was done for the day.

Nozomi was still a bit uneasy about learning her bloodline. Being so used to Aburame, this was taking some time for her to be able to adjust to the change. It was a bit of a new life for her. When she headed back into the academy, this time as a student, she went looking for the Uzumaki's scroll. Finding it, she read on the three techniques she was going to learn. The red haired female took the first one as she started to read it. Hmm. Uzumaki was certainly an interesting clan that was for sure. She read the handseals and repeated it in her mind to make sure she understood it clearly. Once she was done reading it, she did the handseals and sure enough, faint blue arms appear where her shoulders are. She worked on extending it and shrinking it to test it. So these arms would help her with more sealing. It seems that the arms can help with defending however. Nozomi needed to keep that in mind. There was two more. The next one was for her to create a seal on the ground as she reads it over and over to make sure she memorized the design of this seal. She didn't want to mess up if she got the design wrong. After she was confident enough, she wrote it on the floor instead of doing handseals just for the time being and this spiraling shield of water shows up. She extended it and made it smaller. She had a bit of fun with it before she was done. With a clap of her hand, the water barrier was no more. That was done now the next one. She can't really work on the next one but she could be sure to memorize the seal. When she was confident she remembers, she was done.

Taijutsu

After a good night sleep, it was time for Nozomi to work on taijutsu as well bukijutsu. She decided to do taijutsu first. With that in mind, she headed out of her room, got fully dressed and put her hair up in the usual style and threw the hood over her head. She was done as she headed towards the dojo. Even though she knew she was going to be hot later and her clothes will have to be washed afterwards, it didn't matter. She wasn't the person to wear something else unless she was undercover. Arrived at the dojo, she loved arriving in the mornings because it was mostly empty. Now it was time for her to finish learning her first Taijutsu which was the Flowing Arts. To warm up, she did few defenses stances. To do the warm ups she worked on her speed as well and imagining different scenarios that she could come across, this was mainly to help increase her speed. The next one, she made her way to the dummy very slowly, few dodges here and there, a bob and a weave, her chakra went around her arm as she stroke the dummy with an offensive attack by using the palm of her hand. After she struck the dummy, she coiled up her body and her chakra was going up as she stroke it again, the dummy wobble all over the place from the strike While working, she focused on her chakra as well as it started to swirl around her body. She didn't attack yet. Or explode. She just continued to have chakra wrapped around her. This was to help her work on focus more. With that, she imagined as someone aimed a technique at her, with her absorbing it and striking it. Course since there was no technique for her to absorb, there wasn't anything to strike with. Nozomi found herself in front of the dummy again as she did series of punches and kicks, it was rapid and fast as it started to become a bit of a blur. Her muscles were burning and she was sweating.

[Stage Four and Five Flowing Arts Learned! + 2 DR]

The first one was Art of Eight Limbs. She made her way to a nice clearing in the back of the dojo. She lifted her right leg up to her chest and then extended her heel in a straight kick, made sure to slightly turn her hips so it would be less impact on her body but more power expelling outwards. Slowly, she bent her knee to her chest once again and lowered it onto the earth below. She remembered the next one as she bent her elbow and struck backwards into the air. Brought her arm around she used her left arm and did a downward strike into the air once again. After all, not like she could find anyone to work on. The next one, she figure she could use a dummy. Walked up to a dummy, she grasp her hand around it's rough bark as she brought up her knee to where it would've struck someone's torso if the dummy was a human being. She was slow and fast, so that way she doesn't hit the dummy but gently press up against it. Once she brought down her foot upon earth, she opened her fist as her palm was outwards, she struck right onto the dummy with her palm, gently of course. It was time for her to move onto her taijutsu. With a bit of stretch, she once again, decided to use the air as an imaginary target. She can always summon a clone but that was just a bit too odd for her to handle. Her arms went around as if she was going for a hug, but her hand grasp her wrist as it seems she had powerful attack between her arms. The next one, she did a bit of a jump and a superman punch. Now last but not least, she shifted into a supporting stance and did a full roundhouse, which caused her to do a 360 due to the fact that was nothing for her to hit but air. Followed along, she did an uppercut strike. When her arm was pulled back she swings forward with her back foot, she didn't stop however, her body continued to turn and bring her arm up that could be good to clothesline an opponent. With that, she grabbed the dummy's neck with both of her hands and went in for the headbutt. She squatted down and did a back roll as she remained ducked down and followed by a sweeping which could hit someone. She decided not to do that at the dummy, not wanting to injure herself with that pole. She rolled back onto her back and imagined to grab someone at their knee and shoulder and rolled a few more times for good practice.

[ Stage One, Two, Three, Four, and Five of Art of Eight Limbs learned! +5 DR ]

The next one for Nozomi to learn was the Gentle Art. She liked this one. Nozomi was an unusual one, she doesn't have a style she loves the most but they were all beneficial in their own way and she knew it. Nozomi grasped the air as if someone was standing there and she grasped the collar with her right hand, slightly under the collar bone. Her left hand reached over to grasp the sleeve just below the elbow and tighten it. With a short burst of imaginary chakra that she would've done if she had a target in her hands, she raised her hands slightly as if the target was above the ground. While still grasping, she turned, placed her small back against the imaginary torso and did an explosive force to slam the imaginary air target onto the ground. With an exhale, Nozomi stepped back for a moment and took few breaths. What was next was made for someone that was her height and perhaps, taller. She grasped the imaginary collar with her right hand, furhter back on the neck that they can't reach. Her left hand reached for the sleeve, below the elbow and yanked the imaginary body towards her as she can imagine he or she would lose their balance. With that, she came around with an elbow strike. Next one was fun! She loved doing this at the dojo but then her eyes glanced down at the ground. Okay. Dojo had comfy mats, Earth? Not exactly comfy. Oh well. Wouldn't hurt to work on it, after all in a real battle, there wasn't going to be any comfortable mats around. With that, she slightly bent her knees, and stood up, slightly bent her knees again and brought her strongest leg from behind, doing a flip as she landed on the ground and at the same time, her arm was extended as she slapped onto the ground. It was how she learned. Resting for a moment, the sweet honey hues glanced up at the sky as she remembered the next one in her mind. It was when she grasp her teacher sa they step side by side and then straightens out her teacher leg out from underneath and threw her teacher as he plummeted onto their back as her leg was lifted off the ground to avoid falling onto the ground. Now time to work on her last Taijutsu style. Focused, she does a sudden explosive 'hidden' wind as the lives rustled from the slight surprise of the kiai. The Kiai also helped her felt energetic and ready to go. With that, her left arm went to grap the right collar as her right arm grabbed the left and she pulled them forwards. Who was them? No one but the target in her imagination. Problem with this choke, not a alot of people realized they are being choked because they can still breath. This kind of pressure cuts off the blood flow, 3-5 seconds they would be out. Now the next one, she imagined someone with an outstretched hand as she grasped it and turned it towards her, their arm at her center as she wrapped her arm around theirs and pull it. This would hurt if not taken care of fast enough. Nozomi did the same entry as what she learned earlier from the single shoulder throw as she uses her arm to grasp the imaginary head and gripping their neck with her arm. She can imagine striking at a certain area if it was male but it would work just the same for females, cause that b***h hurts. Now, it was time to imagine of the opponent was already on the ground and locked the arm as she pulls the arm nearest their body and hyperextened the arm to force the person from rolling or escaping. When she had learned to duck beneath her sparring partner back in the days by doing the shoulder carry, she could've sworn that it was almost same as a tackle. Nozomi decided to work more on rolls and falls because it was important for techniques such as rear throw. It would involve falling on the back and kicking the enemy off. Double Sleeve grip was a good way to make sure no one can do handseals unless they are like her.

Bukijutsu

A soft exhale could be heard if anyone else was at the dojo but it was just her and her alone. She walked over to her knapsack and zipped it open. With that, she pulled out a whip. It was in good condition considering how long she had it. She had it ever since she became a genin in Kirigakure. Oh how the time flies by. She hadn't used it since they moved to Arashigakure. Her hand gently grasped the handle as her wrist started to relax but her grip was firm and tight. It was important to be slightly relaxed. To use the art of whips, one needed to be fluid. People who aren't fluid that use whips aren't going to get far. With her aim at the dummy, she cracked hte whip as it wrapped around it's arm. Her wrist loosen as she gave it room to relax the grib around the dummy's arm and was free from it. Nozomi then decided to crack the whip at the center of the dummy's chest, leaving a mark on it. If this was to happen onto someone's skin, it would leave a nasty cut or rather, a welp onto their skin. With that, she cracked the whip upwards and having it aimed straight at the dummy's center pole. With a stronger crack, the whip's tip hits the pole and leaving a nice crack down the pole as well. These were good beginning basics. She wanted to work on it some more of course. It felt... good to have the whip handle onto her hand once again. Her chakra flowed from her hand onto the whip as she let out a nasty slash to the dummy, chipping it away now and then. The sounds of cracking could be heard if anyone was in the dojo. Heck, it might even be heard outside of the jojo. Lifting the whip up and spinning it over her head, she inhale and exhaled softly as the whip was spinning wildly above her head. Her arm relaxed as it reached to behind her as she dropped it, the whip simply landed on the floor with a soft thump. Her chakra was spread to the handle of the hilt as her whip started to vibrate on the floor. She cut it off soon as she made sure that it worked. Her right foot stepped back as she then stepped forward with it, swinging her body at the same time as the whip came down with a slap across the dummy's face. With a soft sigh, she started to rub her shoulder gently as she gently coiled the whip and stretched her arm. It was time to work onto the next one.

[ Stage 1 - 5 whip learned ]+5 DR

Nozomi headed towards her backpack and placed the whip back inside as she got out a few daggers. These daggers.. she found it in her mother's trunk when she was cleaning out the house when her family had died. She looked at it some more as she glanced at the bottom of the hilt. It had the Uzumaki symbol on it. When her mother was going to tell her that she was an Uzumaki? With a soft sigh, she had so many questions and now, she will never get answers. Getting up for a bit, she wanted to be careful with the daggers, because not to chip them away. But then again, knowing her mother, they were of good steel or metal. Nozomi should try to figure that out too. And plus, the more she works on it, the more she can learn how to take care of her daggers. With that in mind, she stood up and gently grasp the tilt of the dagger in her hand. The cool blunt end touched against her skin. She was up against the dummy as she swings around and slash at the dummy gently. It was more like trying to become comfortable with the dagger, considering she had never used it before. After few different stances, she used some of the taijutsu stances to help her become comfortable, she started to throw the dagger in the air above her and just watched it as she grasp the hilt as it was the right range. She wanted to work on that so she threw it again, this time, a bit of an arch and appeared at the other side in time and caught it. Becoming more confident, she threw it by the dummy and used Shushin this time and appeared by the dummy and stabbed at at the back. Not bad. With that, she grasp the hilt and yanked it out behind the dummy's back. Taking a moment, both daggers in her hand as she walked to stand in front of the dummy. While standing in front of the dummy, she started to have chakra run through the daggers. She rose her right hand, pulled it back and then she threw the dagger right to the dummy, it did go much faster with the help of the chakra. It landed at the dummy's side. Hmm. She needed to work on her aim some more. With that, she walked forward and pulled the dagger out of the dummy with a bit of a struggle. Her eyes glanced around as she found a good source of light. Using that, she reflected the light off of the dagger and aimed it at different locations through out the dojo so she can learn how the angle works. With a soft smile, she placed the daggers back into the bag, and headed out

Fuuinjutsu

Despite the fact that she had struggle with fuuinjutsu at first, Nozomi had came to love it! It surprised her more than anything else. With that, she headed to the academy to learn some fuuinjutsu. Nabbed some scrolls, Nozomi knelt down on the floor as her posture was straight. One by one, she started to read the scrolls. This was interesting. It was a chakra seal. Could be good to use on herself if she had to or on someone else if the moment arises. It seems that she can't use it on a target unless they were unconscious. She kept that in mind. For few minutes, Nozomi made sure to memorize the seal. Oh yes. Before she forgets, she needed to retrain her other techniques. After all, can't get rusty now. First, she worked on the basic sealing and used different items splayed around the academy. When she felt confident enough, she decided to work on the unsealing technique. After few minutes working on the unsealing and the sealing back and forth, she decided to work on the summoning next. It wouldn't hurt to keep her skills sharp and ready. However, she does wish that she has someone to help her through this. She still struggles to fully understand Fuuinjutsu as well her own bloodline. With a soft sigh, she hopes it would all be answered in time.

[ Retrained Fūnyū no Jutsu [ Enclosing Technique ], Kaifū no Jutsu [ Unsealing Technique ], and Kuchiyose no Jutsu [ Summoning Technique ] and learned Chakra Kuuin no Fuuin [ Chakra Draining Seal ] ]

With some more work in mind, Nozomi read to the next scroll. Hmm. With that, she gathered up the scrolls and headed outside, figured that she would need the space and trying to avoid damaging the interior building. With that, she pulled back her sleeve and got out a kunai and cut her hand. Slamming it on the ground, a massive gate rose up. With a soft smile, she admire the work before using the unsealing to have it gone. For the next one, it was important for her to learn especially with her being an Uzumaki. She read it over and over again and decided to try it. With that, she headed over to the puddle of water. Knelt down by the puddle, she sealed the element into the scroll. That wasn't too bad. With that, she unsealed it and of course the scroll was wet. Right. She forgot about that part. Picked up the muggy scroll, she put it away. With that, she read onto the next seal. This one would be good for binding someone, all she needed was a touch. Not a hard seal for her to remember either.

[ Kuchiyose • Rashōmon [Summoning • Rashōmon ], Godai Houin no Michi [ Element Sealing Method ], Danzou's Sealing Jutsu [ Unnamed ] Learned! ]

Nozomi should wrap things up soon, she had a lot of genjutsu that she needed to learn. She was just grateful as genjutsu was the only thing in her life that remained constant. Grabbed another scroll, she started to read few of them. Some of them didn't get her attention so she continued on until she found something. It was called Ni no Fuuin Houin. This would be good if she needed to lock some seals. With that, she memorize it's symbolism and how it's made. Once she was sure she remembered it, she continued to skim down the techniques until another one caught her eye. Oh this one would be very interesting. With that, Nozomi had wrote the seal over and over on school scroll so it won't be activated or anything. Just imagine the chaos if she uses the jutsu. After writing a few times, she had it memorized into her mind. Speaking of mind, there was something else she had remembered that she wanted to learn. It was something that could be good and useful if she ever wanted to become an ANBU. She hadn't decided if that's what she wanted just yet. She found it, with the maruton of course. The Mind Eye wasn't going to be part of fuuinjutsu. Once she was sure she understood, she rolled up the scroll and placed it back into it's slot. Nozomi was getting tired so maybe learning a few more and be done for the day wouldn't be a bad idea. Hmm. This Kekkai Houin was interesting so in no time at all, she memorized the seal. Last one would be useful. She continues to read and figured that it was the last one for her to learn. This would be useful considering that it could save a lot of lives by negating activations in an area. With that, she rolled up the scrolls and headed out to rest.

This was her favorite part, learning genjutsu. She headed to the academy and picked up a scroll. First one would be good for something small. Maybe Nozomi should learn how to do traps over time and cover them with this cloud. It could become very handy. With that, she memorized the handseal as it was a trigger. Part of her wonders how long it can stay hovering and covering. Ah wel. Next one was something that she can use to hide if she had to but it wouldn't be very useful so to speak. Her eyes rolled when it had mentioned that it was usually used as pranks among students, that part was true. Next one could be a good trick to play on enemies, a wall that isn't a wall. Humming birds. She was always fond of humming birds for some reason. Maybe it was because it was one of the first genjutsu she ever learned.

[ Cloud Cover Technique [ Kumo Monokage no Jutsu ] E, Chameleon Skin [ Hada no Kamereon ] E, Impenetrable Wall [ Ussou Kabe ] D, and Hummingbirds Technique C learned ]

Now to hide her injuries could be helpful to discourage her enemy and find an opening. It could be dangerous too so she needs to be sure to be careful. Now the fog could be handy. The thicker it becomes the more she can hide. This reminded her that she needed to be sure to learn the mist vision technique so she can navigate her way through a fog. Oh, complete darkness. Now that was an interesting one. Nozomi needed to make sure not to get too ahead of herself. After all, she didn't want people to know what she likes. Hmmm. As for this one, it was like cutting the head off of the hydra. One was cut off and two takes its place. She remembers World of the Dead Fissue too much. In fact, the first person she used it on was Inka. With a soft sigh, she wondered what became of him.

[ Immortality Technique [ Fukyuu no Jutsu ] C, Continuous Fog Technique [ Keizokuteki Enmu no Jutsu ] C, Shadow Swell [ Minagiru no Kage ] C, Hydro Clone Technique B, and World of the Dead Fissure Technique [ Anoyo Kiretsu no Jutsu ] Learned ]

Nozomi would have to be careful with some of this. Deepest Part of the Earth was one of the examples, it can have a bad effect on someone's mentality. Deepest Part of the Earth wasn't the only one of course. She wonders that when she placed Inka under Whispers from the Dead, did that affected him so bad and so much that it started to change who he was? She hope that wasn't the case. Hmm. This was something she had not heard before. It was kind of new. It could be handy as well if she needed more of a 'real' way to cause darkness. Oh, this was new to her. The fireflies. Now Nozomi wanted to go catch fireflies and she was sudden depressed when she remembered the time Kumotake and her was out and there was fireflies dancing.

[ Deepest Part of the Earth Technique [ Konrinzai no Jutsu ] B, Whispers from the Dead [ Shi kara no Sasayaki ] B, Dust Covered Sky [ Chiridaruma Kuuchuu ] A, and Firefly Masquerade [ Narisumashi no Hotaru ] Learned ]

Oh this was beautiful. Nozomi had learned this a bit ago but she couldn't remember if she used it on anyone. Had she? No matter. This one? She doesn't remember learning it but she wanted to be sure that she does. It was a rough genjutsu that was for sure and Nozomi would hate to be under that one. As she continued on, her hands froze as she read the Fale Body Technique. It would seem that the user had died even when they are cut up and she frowned. Was it possible that this had happened to Arashigakure? No matter. Arashi wasn't her home. She'll protect it's people but in the end, nothing she can do ever save any villages. Speaking of saving the village, she needed to be sure not to use Shroud of Darkness on civilans by accident at any time.

[ Demonic Illusion: Decaying Earth Technique [ Haitai Chihyou no Jutsu ] A, Demonic Illusion: Fear Through the Eyes of Madness [ Magen: Kyouran no Me kara Kyoufu ] A, False Body Technique [ Mougo Mukuro no Jutsu ] A, and Shroud of Darkness [ Kurayami no Oii ] Learned ]

The next one would be handy if she combines world of dust with the other one she had learned that would cause darkness. Nozomi needed to be sure to play along to make it seem more real. Oh man, this one was a wicked genjutsu. She had to learn it. After few tries, she managed to do very well with it. Now it was time to look at other genjutsu. Oh this could be good if she had to go up against Taijutsu or Bukijutsu. Hmm. Rats. This was going to be good if she got up against Doton and they open a part of Earth. Blood loss technique would be another good one to fool the enemy if she was ever able to harm someone like that. Poison Cloud. That reminded her, she should try to get the time to learn some poison and how it works.

[ World of Dust [ Chiri no Ittenshikai ] S, Bleeding Earth Technique [ Gaishuukketsu Tsuchi no Jutsu ] S, Through the Looking Glass [ Kugurinukeru Meikyou ] D, Plague of Rats [ Pesuto ] D, Blood Loss [ Shikketsu ] C, and Poison Cloud Technique [ Doku Kumo no Jutsu ] B Learned! ]

Hmmm. If she was ever to become ANBU, the Illusionary Sand Prison could be something handy for her. It wasn't going to capture them completely of course, she had to be careful about that part. Tree Binding Death, she thought this was part of Konoha. Knowledge does spread after all and some people had no problem sharing the knowledge that they had learned. Cloud Prison was another good one. Geez. What was up with herself and prison? Dang. She remembered what happened when she was a young girl and winced softly. Mental Barricades. That reminded her, she needed to do this for sure. Oh this was another dust one that could become useful. This one could help her in the future if it was needed to hide and to a sneak attack. Art of Fake Death. More and more she was reading, the more she started to believe that there was more to the story about the woman who attacked and burned villages than they had let on. But it's been five years. Surely she was really dead. Or was she.

[ Illusionary Sand Prison [ Gensou Kinko no Suna ] B, Tree Binding Death [ Jubaku Satsu ] B, Cloud Prison Technique [ Kumo Gokusha no Jutsu ] A, Mental Barricades [ Mentarubarikēdo ] A, Annoying Dust Technique [ Okkuu Chiri no Jutsu ] E, Phantom Illusion: Cloak and Dagger [ Maboroshigen: Manto to Tanken ] C, Art of Fake Death [ Niseshi no Gijutsu ] B, Learned ]

Yami. That was to be a good torture genjutsu. Seriously, what was up with herself with prison and tortures? No matter. Hmm False Suicide. At least if she ever needed to get out of here and go somewhere to hide and be herself, she can try that. That would mean she would had to change her appearances and it was okay with her. The Flower Petal Dissolve was new to her and she knew she had to learn it. Oh, Lasting Consequences, now that was wicked. It wasn't just that one but it was also Dangerous Game. True to it's word, she had to be careful if she was ever to use it. The mental stress can be harsh. Then again, hadn't she been through alot?

Water. Her favorite element. She started to gather up the scrolls and started to read. Sharks. She wonders if she should summon Megaldon some day. She hopes she gets to so he could have his fun finally. She kind of understand where he was coming from. Suijinheki would be a good way to be defensive against strong attacks. Ah yes. Torture. Another thing she loves. It might as well be her hobby. Hmm. M izu no Yaiba Rendan would be a good technique for her to use on an enemy as long it was to be combined with something else. Now this one she can use if she needed to get to someone and they were protected. Oh good thing she had learned the five sharks eating earlier. This one was much more strong and much more powerful and something she can learn to advance her ninjutsu. She wonders if she will ever get to use this. Maybe someday. Now this one, somehow she accidentally skimmed over it, can help protect her in the future.

Nozomi's Trauma:

Tossed and turned all night. Nozomi let out a deep sigh as she splayed on the bed. Her hues glanced at the window, peering towards the night sky. She couldn't sleep. Her chest felt heavy and it almost felt like she can't breathe.

'Please! No! Let us out!' A little girl screamed in her mind. With a deep sigh, she sat up from the bed, brought her knees to her chest as she wrapped her arms around her legs. Not this again.

No amount of therapy or help could ever get rid of this memory. Her clammy forehead rested onto her knees as she exhaled sharply. Her body shivered despite it was a warm summer night. This was going to be another restless night for her.

--------------------

With laughter, a honey eyed girl was running around in the meadows, trying to catch a butterfly gently. She was completely clothed and covered, except for her eyes and the occasional red strands that poked out. Another laughter, it belonged to another little girl, with the same honey eyes but her hair was black as the night. Not that you could see it mind you but Nozomi knew her. She was her favorite cousin! There were other kids playing with her, some distant cousins she believed but Hikari was her best friend. They shared everything together! Food, fun, and even bugs! Although, today was a bit odd. Why was there more of them than usual? She saw the adults talking in low hush voices, her father among them but she doesn't see her red-haired mom. Hmm. Maybe she had a mission or something like that. Oh well!

No matter, Nozomi wasn't worried, she caught the butterfly with Hikari's help as they both shoot back and forth, trying to remember the name of this butterfly. It was then, an elder Aburame had called out for the kids to get on the boat. The Aburame children knew better than to argue as they got onto the boat, wondering what excitement awaited for them! Nozomi started to notice that the elders were the ones that were getting on the boat. Not her father or any of her cousins. How strange. Maybe they would meet up later? Hikari and Nozomi sat together as they watched their families fade into the distant. Why did the families look so sad?

They were happy and playing, but the children had picked up on their parents' emotions and moods. The boat ride was quiet. Hikari and Nozomi held hands. They were slowly approaching what looked like another island. It was covered in fog and she can hear the insects in that island. There was a vast amount. Maybe it was time for new bugs? A recycle? Or did they want them to catch something? Nozomi turned to ask the elder something but the vibe he gave, scared her as she squeezed Hikari's hands tighter. Once the boat had scraped upon the sand on the island, the children had gotten off the boats, they were looking at each other left and right. Confused. Some of them were a year younger or older than her but not much.

"Go through the forest." Was all the elders say as they all vanished in a puff of smoke. Confused, the children glanced towards the forest. Some of them were huddling up to another. Others had their arms were crossed as if they were trying to hold themselves and comfort themselves. Hikari and Nozomi pulled each other closer as their arms wrapped around. Slowly, the small group of six had entered into the forest. Then there was a scream. Their heads turned to only see a vine had gotten ahold of one of the children, then more vines appeared and ripped the child apart. Blood spattered everywhere. Nozomi was in shock as the warm liquid had hit her clothing. "RUN!" One of the children screamed as there was screaming and commotion. It was then, Nozomi had learned her training with her father. She managed to defeat some of the vines along with Hikari and few other children. Two was killed. Leaving Hikari, Nozomi, a girl, and another boy was left. As they made it to the clearing, they were out of breath. Full of scratches, mud, dirt, and dust. Nozomi felt like crying. She looked over at Hikari, and she could see that her best friend was just as scared as she was.

It was then, she heard a voice. The children jumped but saw that it was one of the elders. "Only two can go on. Fight each other." Nozomi was shocked. How could they do this!? Why would they do this!? Before she could tell him no, one of the boys had attacked her. Nozomi screamed as her bugs defended themselves, protecting the host body. Hikari was busy because the other girl had attack her. No! This was all wrong! They were supposed to be family! Not kill each other! As she was tackled down to the ground and pinned by the boy, she could feel his bugs trying to invade into her body to kill the queen. Her bugs were fighting right back. Nozomi struggled for a while but she got one of her hands-free and grabbed the kunai that was in a pouch belonging to him and stabbed him in the neck. Blood everywhere again. His dead body slumped over hers as the bugs were evacuating it. Nozomi was so tired. Scared. Weak. She tried to push the boy's body off of her but it was not working! It was then, she saw a familiar face as she helped push the boy's body off of her. Hikari started crying as Nozomi quickly grabbed her and held her.

They were both knocked out. Waking up, it was so dark. Nozomi squinted as she waited for her eyes to adjust. She was on something hard and uncomfortable. Her hands went to explore. She was laying on some kind of cold and hard bars. Even the top of her was the same thing. Almost like a cage but she was horizontal and could not get vertical. She could feel like what were cuts and scratch marks. What was this? Slowly, her eyes started to adjust, there was dimly light candles at the corner of the room. Only four of them. It wasn't enough to see. This room smelled awful. As if death has happened here often. She saw another caged box bed thing she was on, and there was someone in it. She paused for a moment, "Hikari?" She called out. "Nozomi." Hikari responded. Relief washed as she scooted to the edge of this odd cage bed and stuck her hand out. Hikari did the same as they both held hands. Nozomi realized her hand was shaking. And hers wasn't the only one. "I'm scared..." Nozomi cried out to her best friend. What was next? She can still remember that boy being ripped apart... and the one that tried to kill her. "I'm scared too.." Hikari started to cry. "I'll get us out." Nozomi had stopped crying as she released her hold on Hikari's hand and started to slam on the bars. It sounded metal. How was she supposed to get out? She slammed them all, trying to find a weak point. Her palms were easily getting bruised. Her knees too. She was using everything she had. Nothing was working.

"Nozomi, stop," Hikari begged as she did. "Hold my hand please." Nozomi scooted back over to the side as they both held hands. They were tired. They cried themselves to sleep. They weren't sure how long had passed. Nozomi heard footsteps so she jolted herself awake. She wasn't really asleep. It was hard to sleep in this Utica crib. She felt Hikari's hand move. Nozomi had to let go for a moment, her arm and hand was hurting in this position. After they re-adjusted, they were holding hands again. More footsteps. Nozomi whimpered and she could've sworn she heard Hikari cried. "There must only be one left. Hold still." The crib was blown open, startling the girls as they release each other hands. She heard Hikari scream but not much because she herself, was screaming too as they pinned her down. Beetles invading her body, they were much more powerful and so much more painful than that boy. Their screams left them voiceless, damaging the voicebox so much they couldn't scream but the expression was there. It was then, they had found the queen of both Nozomi and Hikari. Once they got ahold of the queen beetle, the beetles of the elders had left the girl's body. One elder placed Nozomi's queen beetle into Hikari and vice versa. Now. It was time for the solider beetles to fight for their queen to return.

It was a risky move. If both queens die, then they both die. If one queen live, they could go back to their original host body and continue. One thing was for sure, either Nozomi and Hikari die, or they both die. "Please! No! Let us out!" Hikari managed to cry out. It went on for hours as the beetles were fighting against the other queen and one by one, the beetles were dying and their chakra were dwindling. No longer having the ability to scream in pain, all they could do was writhe in pain and occasionally slam against the crib. That explained the marks upon the bar, it was put there by the others that were placed here before her. Then Hikari stopped moving. Her bugs were evacuating. The queen had made her way back into Nozomi and killed Hikari's queen. Nozomi was too daze and confused. So much pain. She felt drained. Her chakra was almost depleted. The bars open as she saw her father. He scooped and picked her up. "No..." Nozomi croaked, her throat raw from the screaming. "Don't forget Hikari..." Nozomi murmured. "Shh. Go to sleep." He told her as Nozomi sighed, feeling safe in her father's arms as she ******** hell. It's so hot in here. Nozomi got up from the bed. She felt confined. restrained. She needed to get out. Her apartment wasn't that small by any means but occasionally she felt like she was back in that crib all over again. Once she put on some clothes, Nozomi decided to go onto a stroll.

Sumire's Trauma:

With a giggle, she reached out and tenderly touched the plant. The leaves were soft and rubbery. "That's the nightshade plant, we bought it over from another country." Bright purple hues were looking at the plants that this dreary castle held. Well. Not so much of a castle, they lived in a massive skeleton. It was her home. Many people could fit in the skeleton easily but the one man who lived at the top of the skeleton was the very same person she and a few other people in the clan, feared. The young Sumire was with her nanny at the moment. The woman had been there for her from birth to now, she's only 7 years old. "Ahmya! Which one is that?" She questioned, pointing to a beautiful flower.

"Ah. Sumire-chan, that's the bleeding heart. You know," She said as she removed the flower so carefully and placed it on her head. With a smile, "It looks quite good on you." With a bright smile, Sumire squealed as she couldn't wait to see what it looks like on her! She just had to find a mirror as soon as possible but she knew that was not the case. Right now, her job was to learn poisons. At least she like this one. She gets to be with her nanny and not the other Mahofu members. Some of them were boring. Sick. Gross. Mean. Ahmya was the only one was she was comfortable with. Ahmya was the first person to hold Sumire before her mother and then her father. From what she was told, her father held her for a second before giving her back to her mother and walked away.

[ 2 Paragraphs, A rank = 600 XP, Made it to B rank ]

Sumire knew why. She wasn't a boy. Ah well! As they sat in the garden and talked about different plant and properties, it was time for the next class. Sumire whined softly as Ahmya kissed her on her forehead, "Go, child. Just remember your training. You will be fine." With a deep sigh, she glanced towards Ahmya before nodding in agreement and headed off. The moment she opened the doors, her eyes had to readjust. The garden was the only brightest part of her entire Mahofu home. Everywhere else was dimmed, dusty, and just... dark. Sumire was used to it. It was no wonder why her clan was rather pale so to speak.

As she made her way down the skeletal stairs, she did some turns before arriving to an open room with bone walls. The training room. She hated this one. Sumire was good with her bloodline but she was not good with combat skills. Katana, close combat, you name it, she was not good at it. She saw her father was there with her teacher and a few other members as she scowled softly but said nothing. They all got out their bokken. Great. This again. She whished they wouldn't have to train for this stupid thing.

With a defeated sigh, Sumire headed to the stands where the bokken was. As she was reaching to grab one, whack, a bokken had hit her arm. With a yelp she shook her arm and angrily glared at the member. "Never have your guard down." Her father spoke. Scowling, she try to reach, another whack. Damn it, those things hurt like heck! The jet black haired girl was angry as she ignored the next one and managed to grab the bokken. It took few more whacks. Her father said, over and over, never let her guard down. Never let her guard down. It was like hearing a broken record player. At that time, Sumire really didn't care too much for training. She just do what she was able to do at the time.

Her father was getting angry. He left the open room in a hurry. Sumire watched for a moment before getting whacked by the bokken on her back, side, leg, and arms by the different members of the Mahofu. Sumire really was not putting her guard up. At all. Hours went by as she was so sore and bruised, she groaned softly as she headed up to her room, hoping to see Ahmya in it. Once she enters, a bright smile showed up as she run and hugged Ahmya when her bedroom door closed. Together, they draw a hot bath to help soothe Sumire's sore muscles and skin. During the bath, Ahmya was asking her different questions of the garden and plants as Sumire named them off, one by one. No problem. It was time for sleep.

Now tired and feeling better as the hot bath with soothing salts helped her, she fell asleep quickly. Ahmya turned off all lanterns and left the fireplace running. The castle was massive so it can become cold and drafty, even during the summer and worst off in the winters. Every hour, a servant would enter and feed the fireplace. Today wasn't that day. Sumire was getting cold in her sleep as she shivered under the blankets. That was odd. Felt like something heavy was on top of her. Huh. She tried to move and then was hit with a foul stench. She knew that smell. Mahofu handles the dead quite a bit, and the worst smell was a rotting corpse. She quickly woke up, saw a rotten corpse on her as she screamed in surprised and flail, the dead pieces of skin going everywhere and fluids were getting onto her bed. Her father was standing in the dark, his arms crossed. "Stop. Putting. Your. Guard. Down." He demanded as he snap his fingers and the corpse was gone. "You clean up." He growled as he left the room. Her heart was racing and beating fast. She sobbed into her knees for hours. Come morning, Ahmya had found Sumire on the cold floor, barely moving, in the darkroom with no fire. She quickly started the fire and moved Sumire to it and wrapped her with fur blankets to warm Sumire up and did her best to calm and soothe Sumire down.

Ever since then, she's been tense. She had never slept well anymore and her guard was constantly up. Her father was pleased.

Whack whack. Questions. Bathe. Eat. Wake. Sleep. Whack. Questions. Test. Bathe. Eat. Sleep. Whack. Whack. Test. Questions. Test. Sleep. It was a routine. Nothing was new and everything was the same. She was getting tired of this place. She had a plan. She was going to run away. That day, she was oddly quiet that even Ahmya was very concerned for her. Sumire reassured her that she was fine and just tired, Ahmya chalked it off as having an off day. Once she was placed to bed and the lanterns were off, Sumire waited. The first servant came in to feed the fire. Second. The third servant was always late so she waited for the second one to leave. Once the servant had left, she quickly got up from the bed and pulled a set of clothing from under the bed. They were covered in fur and was made for cold weather. Putting them on, she opened her window and glanced down at the bony structure. Easy Peasy. As she silently and quietly escaped, she was thrilled! Now she can get out and never look back.

A few hours went by as Sumire was slowly starting to regret the decision of running away. She realized she didn't know much of the outside world. Oh well. At least she can name the plants and figure out which was edible and which was not. As well as use them to help with injuries if she should come across some. The sun was starting to rise and she was getting a bit tired. Hmm. Figured that sleeping on a tree wouldn't be a bad idea. Climbed up one, she rest her head against the trunk. The sleep didn't last long as she heard voices. She was easily tracked since Sumire didn't have any knowledge of how to cover her tracks at the time. They took her down as Sumire sighed in defeat but went without a fight. The skeletal castle was in view and she could feel all eyes glaring at her. Whatever. She was back so everything should be back to normal now.

When she entered, they lead her into the throne room where her father sat. He looked annoyed. Then she saw Ahmya who... looked off. What was wrong with her? Sumire said nothing. "I'm disappointed. My own daughter. Embarrassed me." Sumire said nothing. "Explain why did you run away." He asked as he leaned forward towards Sumire. Ahmya wasn't moving but she could feel her blue eyes were looking at her. Sumire paid her no mind but her own father. "Because you wanted a son. This way, I could be declared dead and you can move on. This place is stupid. Everything is stupid." "Enough." He stood up and unsheathed his katana and it went straight to Ahmya's heart. "NO!" Sumire cried out, surprised and taken back. She ran to Ahmya's side but her father grabbed her arm and pulled her. "You will be loyal to no one but your clan and Zaishin. Remember that." He growled as he glanced towards a member. "You. This body is yours now." Sumire protested and after a bit of a fight, she lost quickly and easily as the member of Mahofu had sealed Ahmya's body into a scroll for him to use later on. Sumire was left alone, on the floor, crying for her nanny.

She wasn't just her nanny. That was the woman who raised and cared for her. Now that she's gone, Sumire had no one. Nothing. Everything hurt so much. All she could feel was the grief as she wailed in the empty room. Sumire passed out from exhausted. When she woke up, she found herself in her room. The lanterns were out but the fireplace was on. She... Ahmya was gone. She was really gone. This was all her fault. If she was a boy, this wouldn't happen. If she was the perfect daughter her father wanted, this would've never happened. Unable to sleep, Sumire figured that a stroll on the grounds might help her. Can... can she really go to the garden? No. She can always go to the morgue. The body won't be there but it's where Mahofu can pay respects. It's also where they cremated the royal lines of the Mahofu so their body wouldn't be used by another. Silently and not able to look at anyone, Sumire had made her way to the morgue. She wasn't even sure how she got there. She was surprised to see Ahmya, laying there on the table but then threw up on the ground when she saw the member doing... disgusting acts. The member heard her throw up and laughed as he continued to finish the deed.

Beaten, humiliated, depressed, disgusted, and ashamed, ever since then, Sumire has done her best to please her father.

Sumire's Lasting Memory

It was her birthday! This girl was now seven years old and she was excited! She doesn't get presents from her family or any of the members for that matter, but the very important person in her life, Ahmya, always makes this day special. Unbeknownst to her, Ahmya had pleaded with Kaiten since Sumire was born to give her a break from everything, just for one day. This day. Her birthday. Kaiten was bitter about it, he doesn't wanted to be reminded that this so-called special day, he discovered he had a daughter instead of a son. But it shut Ahmya up so he allowed it.

What they were going to do today? Ahmya always took her out of the castle. To see the animals. Because of her father, Sumire has always put herself at a distance from the animals, she didn't want the man to get any ideas of how to torment his daughter further. Ahmya had entered into the room and saw Sumire was wide awake, fully dressed the best she could do, and her hair.. in attempt of putting it up nicely, the birthday girl did not do a good job. Ahmya laughed gently as she helped Sumire get fixed up. The girl could not sit still! Her eyes were a bit sad. She wishes Sumire was this happy and bright every single day. "Come along." "Where are we going, Ahmya-chan?" She questioned her favorite woman. "We are going to a farm." Her purple eyes lit up so bright, Ahmya could've sworn that the sun had risen and it was there to stay. "Yay! Hurry up!" She commanded, excited and couldn't hold it in, she started to drag Ahmya to go to the farm faster. They made it to the farm, oh it was beautiful! Horses, goats, sheep, chickens, you named it they had it. Even down to the pigs and snakes. Sumire was having the best day of her life.

Another surprise was waiting for her in the kitchen. Ahmya knew the farm people and they understood the poor Mahofu Princess was going through a lot so they offered up their kitchen as well. They cooked her favorite food and Sumire did not yet know. She was busy feeding all the animals she could possibly feed and was chasing down a mice, begging for it to come back so she could pet it. The sun was starting to set as Ahmya called for her. Sumire was becoming bummed. She assumed that it was time for them to go back to the drafty castle. As Ahmya took her to the house, she figured that they were going in to thank the family to let her pet and feed the animals as well help out around the farm.

Her eyes were above and beyond as she saw the food on the table. They all shouted happy birthday, including the cute farm boy. With a squee and glee, she hugged each one of them and thanked them, forgetting her hard taught manners for the moment. This was the best day ever! They all sat down, ate, drank. Sumire didn't have much to talk about, her time at the castle had made her rather boring so she soaked in all the stories. About how a mare nearly died giving birth but survived. How a goat got the coyotes away from the sheep with the help of dogs. How a herd of cattle was acting odd and they found out they almost crossed with snakes who was in that season. Oh. The stories. Sumire wished she was a simple farm girl and not some princess of the Undead. Ahmya then, had one last gift for her. She got out a package.

"For me?!" Sumire squealed happily as she placed it upon the now empty table as they were clearing it out, leaving Ahmya and Sumire alone in the dining room. She ripped open the brown wrapping paper and was in awe. It was.. beautiful. She got her a kimono. It had clouds on it. The colors were gorgeous, gold, purple, and black. But then, she noticed something. "Ahmya, did you make a mistake?" She questioned as she pointed it out. Ahmya shook her head, "That's a lesson for you, little flower." Sumire was confused as she glanced towards Ahmya. "See, when I made this for you, I know the patterns. How it works. But for that, I made the mistake on purpose. To show that no one is perfect. We all make mistakes and we are still beautiful." Sumire, being too young to understand, replied with a simple, "Oh. It is beautiful. Thank you Ahmya." She hugged her nanny and then let out a sad sigh. "I don't' want to go back." The nanny gave her a smile, with the hidden sadness behind it as she kissed Sumire on her forehead. She couldn't do this at the castle. This was their only time to actually hug and comfort each other. "It'll be okay Sumire. I'm always with you."

With a sigh, the now ten-year-old Sumire looked out of the window. "I miss you, Ahmya. It was my fault. I'm sorry."

The grass rustled underneath a young girl's leg. She seemed to be about 8 or 9, but no older than 10. Her back was arched as in her hand, she was holding a pen. Writing on the paper, her other hand was propping her head up as the elbow rested on her leg. She continued to write for a while. Behind her, she heard the familiar sound of the door opening and closing. Yet, the dark-skinned girl didn't pay it to any mind. She could hear someone sitting down by her and even felt her leg being brushed by theirs. Taking a pause from writing, the girl looked towards to see if it was her mom or dad. It was her mom. With a smile, she wonders what her mom was doing outside. Sometimes her parents just come out and sit down with her. No words needed. it was just them hanging out. Although, she could tell her mother had something in mind. "Time for training, Little Bee." With a loud groan, she gently loosen her grip on the pen as it tilted. "Aw, mom!" She started to whine as her mother shook her head. "Training is important. You, of all people, know that." With a roll of her eyes, she grumbled and nodded. Her mother, by any means, wasn't wrong. Inohachi just avoids it because lately they been working on emotions and it had made her feel.. uncomfortable. The door opened and closed as she turned and saw her father. She watched him stretch as she smiled. He was so strong. Despite being a Yamanaka, he was actually muscular. He was more taijutsu than anything else. Wicked though, she saw him spar one time, and the combination of their bloodline with Taijutsu? Her daddy could do it, it was scary and awesome at the same time. As he stretched towards the sky, he arched his back a bit as his hips went forward, attempting to pop his back? Instead, she heard him fart, "UGH! DAD!" Inohachi complained as her mother just laughed. Her mother on the other hand, strong but not muscular like her father. She was more athletic if anything. Her mother focused not just on the bloodline but genjutsu as well. Inohachi started to wonder what was she going to be like? Genjutsu like her mother or Taijutsu like her father?

[ Learned Yamanaka Clan Telepathy, Sensing Transmission [ Kanchi Denden ], Sensing System Technique [ Kanchi Shisutemu Jutsu ], Mind Body Switch Technique [Shintenshin no Jutsu], and Mind Reverse Body Technique [ Shingyakushin no Jutsu ] ]

With a defeated sigh, Inohachi closed her notebook and tucked the pen into the spinal cord of the notebook. Setting it aside, she stood up. Her hands on her hips. "What are we learning today?" She questioned. "You had done well with our bloodline Jutsu so instead, we will learn about sensory." Awesome! At least she can finally take a break on the mind techniques. It could be exhausting sometimes. Her mother picked up a rock and handed it to her. She started to explain how it works. Inohachi focused onto the rock as she wonders if it worked. Then her father handed his hand out and wanted the rock. With a blink, Inohachi gave her father the rock and off he went. She smiled as she was able to track where he was going and what he was doing. That was pretty cool. This was a bit easier and better than the mind-reading techniques that was for sure. The next one, her mother did some hand seals and placed her hand on her father's arm, it created a small flower tattoo. They started to explain that the tattoo would work in collaborating jutsus with an ally that haven't Korabo with her. She was rather confused. Why not take the time to get to Korabo an ally? Expressing the concern, her father went on to explain if she was suddenly thrown into war, there will be many allies she has not yet met or even get to know, it would work well to improve the chances to protect the village. It was then, the little Bee understood.

After few more trainings, it was time for Inohachi to go volunteer at the hospital. Things were nice and quiet at the village. Inohachi wished it was always like this but she knew that it wasn't always going to be like this. They were shinobi and there were always wars. Even villages where there's no shinobi, there were always conflicts. Her mother said it was part of human nature and nothing could be done about it. The best the young Yamanaka could do was always be kind and warm as much as possible no matter what, even when it's dark. After volunteering at the hospital, she sat on the roof and just soak in the horizon before her. It was so beautiful here. Getting out the notebook and pen, she decided to journal a bit about her day. She had learned so much. She had finally worked there long enough to be able to learn a few of the techniques. In her journal, she expressed some of her concerns with some of the techniques and how dangerous it was to be a medic. It seems that even healers must be well in battles, there was even some techniques that the medics avoid to do in battles in fear of tenketsu burnout. For example, Gien to Kairan, while doing that does not cost much but to get hit... the results would not be good. Medics were so fearless! Inohachi was in awe at the thought of those brave medics. She just hope she would be good as them. Her mother and father had both said that everyone starts off weak or inexperienced, and over time, one develops hardships and courage. Yet Inohachi does sometimes wonder if she was meant to be a shinobi. She was a bit scared and things would take time for her to understand what was going on. Her parents didn't seem that worried about her. They did give her a word of warning, to never change, no matter how dim things will become. If they had to give her that kind of warning, does events really change a person so much? A leaf had fallen onto the journal as she took a break from expressing her thoughts as she decided to pick it up and observe it for a moment. The veins, little holes, and trying to figure out which tree it came from, she simply placed the leaf back onto the roof. Nature always takes care of her own. With a soft sigh, she went back to the journal and started to explain how she helped a young child. The poor boy was playing in his mother's garden when he got bit by a poisonous spider. He was crying and the mother was busy soothing him. The medic ninja that trained her didn't see any hurry so he had the time to explain to the young Yamanaka what the handseals were and how it would work. Inohachi decided to talk to the child about his favorite toy which did help him be distracted away from the small spider bite. She continues, asking him why it was his favorite? It seemed that his great-grandma had made it for his birthday before she passed away. How sweet. In no time at all, the poison was extracted. She cleaned it up with paper towel carefully as she could and then used Kiyomaru. They were done as the boy was happy that it wasn't so bad after all! She still remembers his smile. If only she took a picture of that. With a soft sigh, her back started to ache and she figured it was time for her to go home. Closed the journal, she placed it back into its pocket in her camera bag. Stood up, she stretched her entire body and leaned back slightly. Ah. That felt good. Hmm. Where should she go for some pictures? Her red almond hues looked at the sky to see what the weather was like. Cloudy. It was slightly warm meaning there would be bugs. Perhaps she would go to the meadow and see if she could take some pictures of the critters. Hopped down the roof, off she went!

"Ach-choo!" The small child sneezed as she sniffled. One of the servants had brought over a tissue. With a smile, she nodded as she blew her nose as properly as she could. Tiny hands bundled up and wiped her nose a bit. Removing herself, she stood up and walked over to the little basket made to wash the tissues. Now that was taken care of, she walked back towards the table and knelt back down. On the table, there were books and scrolls. With a tired sigh, her fatigue eyes went back to studying. She knew the consequences if she didn't study well. Sumire did not want to go through any more punishments. Tiny hands rubbed her eyes as she was rather tired. Leaned over, she pulled another scroll towards her and started to read. Right now, she was in a room that would be consider the study. There were few other clan members, pulling books to skim through them to try to find something they needed to find. When it was not what they were looking for, they placed the books back with the thud. Over and over. Sumire had learned how to block out that sound. There was another sound that she had to learn to block out. The fire crackling. This castle was extremely drafty considering they were living in the skeleton of some being, so each room had two or more fireplaces. Servants were constantly cleaning out the ashes, adding more wood, it was never-ending for them. Sumire took a bit of a break to look around. She wanted to go find her nanny but this was study time. Her nanny was not allowed to be in the room with her at the moment.

Honestly, some argued that if the nanny was in the room, Sumire would do better with her studies. Her father refused to budge. He wanted the only heir (that they know of) to be domesticated and perfectly trained. He wanted no one to get in the way of the training. After this, she was to learn a bit more about the way of the sword. The other clans hated Mahofu because of their questionable methods. It wasn't just because they can raise the dead and poison others, it was more of they were not samurai-like, living and dying by the sword. However, their ideas and culture were almost the same. They live by the honor and die by the honor. There were even cases of ones committing seppuku when they were full of shame. Sumire had remembered two or three of her cousins had done so when they were defeated in a great battle or one of her uncles due to his son bringing shame in his house.

"Ach-hoo!" The young Mahofu sneezed once again, getting some ugly looks with the other members. She should be strong and learn how to ignore the dust. The study was rather dusty. For some odd reason, the Mahofu didn't want the servants to clean the study room. Maybe some of them feared that the servants would turn against them if they had the knowledge. It was why there was only one fireplace in this castle and it was in the study. Right by the door. The servant was not to stray too far from the fireplace into the study or the penalty would be death. They usually use the oldest servants to tend to the study fireplace due to the understanding and fully leashed by the Mahofu. Younger ones are usually more rebellious and curious. Sumire was one of the few Mahofu that actually treated the servants with honor and respect. They were people. Just like her. With a sniffle, she rubbed her nose slightly as she closed one of the books and rose from the table. Walked towards to the third bookshelf on the right, she put the book back. Glanced at the bookshelf, there was another book she needed but she was too short. Looked around, she found the wood step stool for her as she picked it up and carried it over. Placed the stool down, she stood on it and got the book she was trying to get.

With a weary sigh, she walked back to the table. She liked this spot. It was warm and the light was being illuminated by the fireplace. The study has lanterns, left, and right, but Sumire was rather found of fireplaces and adores being close to them. There was something about the warmth that lures her to it. Maybe this child always wanted to be close to warmth and happiness? Sumire caught herself daydreaming of happier times as she shook her head and brought herself back to reality. Who was she kidding? As the only child, that they know of, of the leader, she was a disgrace. Her father sleeping with other women was not unheard of since his desire to produce a son to take over the clan. As far as they know, the women he had slept with had not yet produced a son. As of now, Sumire was the firstborn that they know of and his only main daughter, produce from an arranged marriage of one of the top Mahofu females. Sumire never got the honor to know her mother. She died while Sumire was a baby. Or was it when she was born? Sumire sighed to herself, it would make sense to why her father hated her if that was the case. If her father did love her mother that was. Sumire doubts it. Her father hated women.

Honestly, it seems like her father hated everyone anyways. A level head, he does his best to keep the clans together. He has mad respect for strong males that had proven their worth and that was about it. With a rub of her eyes, Sumire was getting a bit tired reading about her bloodline and genjutsu. With a yawn, she decided she wanted to go do some physical training. Her hues glanced around to see who was in the study that would pick on her if she had left. Some of the Mahofu left her be, pretended she doesn't exist or play punching bag. Perfect. None of the usual bullies were here so as quick as she can be, she placed the books back to the shelves. Rolled up the scrolls carefully and placed them back into their rightful slots. One time she messed up to where they are and the Mahofu who was responsible for the study and knowledge, went after her. Sumire had learned her lesson and she never did it again. Once she was done and made sure that everything was in the right place, Sumire headed towards the training grounds.

Sumire hated the training grounds. She wasn't much for physical work. Yet, the young child knew that she needed to work on herself physically. After learning the importance of being able to move, evade, block, defend, and so many others, Sumire knows that every part of the body was important. To not train the muscles was a disgrace to the muscles and you would die. Or lose in shame. The jet-black haired female wondered if her shame would ever be strong enough to be able to do what others do, commit seppuku. She doesn't want to die! The very thought of itself was scary. They all said that she would understand when she gets older, but would she be willing to die like that? Being young, of course, she doesn't quite understand just yet. Going through the hallways and taking a few detours, she had made towards the outside training ground. The trees outside were so strong, tall, and thick, that it always looks like nighttime outside. That's how the Mahofu like it. Sumire wasn't sure. She loves the dark but she also loves the light. Made sure to remove her horseshoes, she had stepped out with only her socks that were made to protect and cover. Their training area, well, one of the many, was covered in sand.

The sand was good for muscles, movement, and even to meditate on. Sadly, it was also a good trap for cats if the Mahofu needed any. Thankfully, many cats were smart and stay away from this area, but there were some dumb ones now and then. Survival of the fittest one of her cousins always said. Finding the bokken, she walked towards the dummy. Alert and prepared, the tired bags under her eyes indicate that she had not slept well for weeks. Constantly attacked in the middle of the night had put her on guard. Now that she was more alert and aware while she sleeps, the attacks, thankfully, had gotten less but she was now trained with it. Never again will this poor Mahofu child sleep well. Breathing slowly, she started to remove things from her mind. She needed to focus. She can't be thinking too many things at once or it would not do well for her training. She started to do some basics. Shift to the left. Roll to the right. Upslash. Side Slash. Downslash. Each training, the bokken made caught with the dummy but not too much. It was more of a tap. She was taught to respect the training grounds. Aiming to damage the dummy shows that you have no control over your power and you rather just show off. Her cousin was mad when the teacher said that and attempted to kill the teacher.

Her cousin died. No matter. Sumire had many cousins and Mahofu members were great in this castle. Not only that, but she was also a Mahofu. Death was the norm for her and the other Mahofu who resides in this castle. Sumire was only wondering who gets to add her cousin to the overgrowing army of the undead. Her pupils were now fully dilated to accolade the dimmed training grounds as she continues to work on her movements and the light taps. NOt knowing how long went by, she heard the clang of the dinner time. Luckily, there was no rush. Some families do eat together. Others rather eat alone. Sumire was to eat by herself in a small area/room that seemed more like a closet than anything. The servants love Sumire as she was the few who treat them respect so they usually try to give her the best/warm food save for her father of course to avoid recuperations. Putting the bokken away, she also raked the sand out of respect. Placing the rake back, she sat down and started to wipe the sand from her socks and shook them. Made sure to get every single sand she possibly could get was gone, she slipped on her horseshoe and went up three flights to get to her dinner. Now hot and bothered, Sumire couldn't wait to take a bath. With a smile, bath time was her favorite. She gets to hang out with Ahmya. Entered into the tiny room, the servant had brought her the food as she shared some with them. Made sure that no one could see them, they were happy to eat alongside the young princess.

Once she was done, the sweet child had made her way up back to her room. Seeing Ahmya had brought the sun to her eyes as they talked about their day and different things. Even talk about the best birthday she had with the farm animals. Sumire had admitted that she wanted a horse but she knew that it wouldn't be a good idea due to her father and Ahmya had agreed. After bathing was done, the tired child had snuggled into her bed and fell asleep but not in deep sleep. Not ever again.

A little girl with blue hair entered into the classroom as she glanced around at the students. Quiet and kept to herself, she sat down at her assigned seat. She had been out of the home she was born in for a few months now but only in school for couple of days. The children already had friends and there was something odd about this girl. Even the teachers were a bit concerned, she wasn't expressing many emotions. Usually, children from the kind of home life she had, would have emotions. Anger could be one of them. Or even crying a lot. Nami had never exhibited those. Instead, she just kept to herself, studied, and moved on. Nami didn't see much point but she understood that there was something different about her. Not quite right. After all, why would they be avoiding her? It was as if she had some kind of contagious disease that could be easily spread just by looking or even talking to her. Teachers attempted to encourage the children to try to be friends with her until the children themselves expressed discomfort. Teachers didn't press on. Instead, they kept an eye on her.

Silent and kept to herself, she took notes of what she was learning. Most children had one notebook. Not her. She had two notebooks. Teachers had to sneak a peek to see what the second notebook was for without upsetting the girl, if she does get upset. Pale blue hues caught one of the teacher attempting to sneak a peek and she had no shame or any reason to hide, so she explained, "It's for me to take notes. On other kids emotions. I'm trying to learn." The teacher's heart dropped. This poor child was trying to learn. But how do you teach emotions...? It usually comes naturally. Since then, the teachers had left her alone and they were no longer bugging the children to become friends with her. They understood. Perhaps, Nami will learn or she will become something awful. Only time will tell. During taijutsu and bukijutsu courses, Nami struggled with those. Usually the children used their emotions to attack but Nami lacked in that. She was trying to see it from the other side. Her form was well and good, and her punches had some power behind it along with her kicks. Yet, however, there was no extra oomph in the actions.

Her adoptive parents frequently visit the school to get reports of her growth. It seems that even her adoptive parents were at a loss of what to do with Nami. They had mentioned that she was constantly sneaking away or going towards a large body of water and stay there for hours. Even past her bedtime sometimes. It seems that water gives this blue-haired girl some peace and maybe a sense of belonging that they do not understand. Perhaps one day, they will but it wasn't going to be anytime soon. While with the body of water, Nami secretly trains a bit more in peace. Usually Suiton. After all, she was right with the source. She would control it, make shapes. Sometimes she doesn't even practice at all, she would be swimming or floating, her pale blues glanced up towards the sky. It was hard to tell what she was thinking. If you ask her, she would response. Though the answers weren't quite what they were looking for. Sometimes she answers with, "I just wonder how tadpoles become frogs," or even "I don't like sweets. I don't know why. I was thinking maybe it has to do with my taste buds and lack of the sweet area-" And she would go in depth about the taste buds and her tongue to her adoptive parents surprise.

Nothing to hide but nothing to show, it was almost as if she was just a shell. Despite being a shell, Nami was trying. Does cry when she's in pain so there was that. They had discovered this during sparring. One of the boys didn't know his power and was too rough, snapping her bone in half and injuring the muscle. Nami started to cry, startling the teachers as one of them went to get a medic. Sobbing, the medic was quick to heal her up. The girl simply wiped the tears from her eyes and went back to training. It made them think, did she cry because it was her body reaction to pain, or was it because she was scared at seeing her arm bent in an odd shape that it was not supposed to bend? Maybe both? The teachers were hoping for both. Nami was a beautiful and smart child but to be a shell... it was honestly a bit scary to be around her sometimes. No matter, the teachers did their jobs and the children stayed away.

During recess, sometimes Nami would be practicing techniques she was struggling with earlier. Other times, she would be watching the kids and jolting down any emotions she had noticed. For example, jealously. Or she thinks it's jealously. Nami wasn't sure, she had to ask a teacher to what emotion happened that day. There was a blonde girl with a pink lunchbox. To Nami, that lunchbox was ugly but another girl, with black hair, loved that lunchbox and became mean and bitter towards the blonde girl. The blonde girl started to cry from the sudden change of her group of friends, they were all against her until she gave the pink lunchbox to the black hair girl. Just like that, they were friends. Nami took this report to the teacher and the teacher had to explain that it was jealously on the black-haired girl part and that she bullied the blonde-haired one into giving her the lunch box. With a nod, Nami went back to recess as the teacher scolded the black-haired girl and gave her detention as well a lesson in bullying by having the girls fight. The blonde-haired girl one. The girls attempted to bully Nami in retaliation for ratting them out but it didn't work.

She was a shell. How do you bully a shell? Days passed and Nami was dedicated to her studies. There was a day where they had heard Nami giggle which floored the staff and students alike. She was giggling toward a fish in the pond that was close to the school. The fish must've done something because Nami frequently was seen by the pond. Maybe there was hope for this young girl after all. As Nami got older, she was becoming more expressive but barely. Not normal for her age. Even when she hit teenager years, the teachers were hoping that her hormones would help her with the emotions. That didn't seem to be the case. After confirmation from her parents when she started the bleeding, they kept a close watch. She does visit the medic now and then with discomfort of pain but there was not much change in her emotions. Despite getting older, she was asking more questions. Nami had picked up book reading. No longer taking notes of the children outside, she was now seen by the pond, reading some books. WHen asked, she simply replied that she hoped the books would help her understand emotions and the human response to it. Her adoptive parents were getting a bit tired of Nami. She had been rude, cold, and disrespectful to them. All the same, as well not showing emotions, it was becoming increasingly hard to love a child that was an empty shell. The mother tires the hardest. She understood somewhat, due to Nami's history. Nami was not exposed to emotions at a young age due to her crazy mother. Currently, they are going to therapy but Nami was always very logical during the therpatic sessions and even went as far to ask the therapist to what she was supposed to be feeling.

Nami had even picked up book on children and teenager developments. She knows and was aware that she was not exhibiting the emotions that she was supposed to exhibit due to her age. Or stages of development.

Time will only tell if her parents made a good decision in bringing her in or not.

A green-haired female was sliding down the mountain as she had this playful smirk spread on her lips. Behind her, was a ram, thick full of wool and dangerous strong head. The ram wasn't the only one with a dangerous strong head, however, for the green-haired woman had some kind of ram skull on her forehead, using it as a mask. Or maybe protection. Rocks and dust were left in the trail of their sliding down the mountain. Once they hit the bottom, the ram hopped at the right time and landed on its four legs with grace. Meanwhile, the skull wearer didn't have such grace as she hopped too soon and landed onto the ground with a thunk. With a muffled laugh, she pushed herself off the ground and gave eye contact with the ram. With such force, their heads were met and a loud thunk sound echoed down the cavern, one could swear that it sounded like two hollow boulders were colliding. The ram was fine but the female on the other hand was sent flying and landed on her butt and still skidding with dust and rocks following. Laughing she rubbed her head for a bit before she heard some voices.

Curious, she turned towards the direction of the sound along with the ram by her. She pointed at it and the Ram started to walk down the sound. Stood up, her hands dusted off while walking at the same time, clouds of debris from her dusting. They saw a group of travelers as she was cautious. The group noticed the odd duo and stopped in their tracks. "Um. Hello?" One of them spoke out as she slowly sank away into the tree land with her thick-skulled friend. A surprising sound of the rope snapping caught her off guard as she bleated in surprise and was hanging upside down. She started to flail and bleated a bit more. Her friend was looking around and trying to get her down. The group of travelers heard her bleats plead as one of them went to go investigate. It was a young man as he tilted his head at the odd girl. With a shrug of his shoulders, he got out a knife and cut her down as she landed with a thunk. Happy to be free, she grabbed him by the shoulders and headbutted him in greeting, causing a crack, and thanked as the young man helped and rubbed his temples. With a smile, she hopped away with her friend, leaving the confused man behind with a bruised temple.

The marketplace was full of people today. The crowd was rather loud and talkative but she didn't mind. Feathers adorned her body as the wispy white hair flowed behind her. No one paid her any mind besides the few side glares, she was beautiful after all and the feathers that rested on her bosom still teased the beholders of her side angle. She heard a grow caw as her barefoot stop for a moment, she looked around to find it. Perched on a stall, she saw a crow as she gave the crow a friendly smile. Headed towards the stall, the man was busy with a customer and hasn't noticed her yet. Her cold gaze observed for a moment, as she was trying to see an opportunity to why the crow lead her here. It was then she saw it, something shiny.

With a silent chuckle, her fingertips touched the grapes, and wanted to see if they had some good quality. The man was done with a customer and froze, seeing her at his stall. "May I?" She questioned with a sly and half seductive smile. She had pulled one of the grapes and wanted to try it. The man stammered for a moment and nodded. "Thank you." She popped the grape into a mouth and it was delicious. The crow caw and fluttered away, but she knew why. He went to go find someone. She requested the man to bag up the grapes for her as he was more than happy to help her, it was then, a woman had approached the man and while she was waiting, three more customers had arrived. Perfect.

Handed the ryo to the man's hand, she thank him and walked away as the woman was annoyed and smacked the back of the man's head. When she had made it to a safe distance, the female waved her fingertips slightly. Insects were at the fruit stand as the customers hollered in surprise. The man was confused and smashing at the fruits to get the bugs away. At the same time, the man had confessed that he was cheating on his wife in return, she admitted, she too was cheating on him. Arguments, heated tension, punches had been landed. There was screaming. People were finding little things to fight about. Stalls were started to get destroyed in the crossfire. Silent and still, she slowly ate the grapes out of the bag as the anger had started to spread. Trilled softly, the crow from earlier scooped down and grabbed the shiny charm it had its eye on earlier.

The crow took off and landed by her as she trilled softly once again, she stopped eating the grapes as the anger and commotion started to die down. Her finger gently stroke the black feather's chest as it puffed out, happy to have a charm and some pets. "Enjoy, my friend." She kissed the crow on the forehead as it let out a muffled caw and flew into the spacious sky. Finished with her grapes, she threw the bag away and made her way out as people were coming to, confused, seeing no evidence of insects anywhere and the husband and wife were trying to say that they don't know what came over them and they had never cheated. People were apologizing and had mentioned that they don't know what came over them.

With a sly and mischievous smirk, she had done enough damage for today.
