This Moment in Time features the random and miscellaneous training of Kanzaki and Junko

Because of her heritage and her partnership with Kanzaki, she was denied by the honor of signing a contract with Tsubaki or learning the sage arts from either of them. She did not particularly mind this, understanding their reasoning. A true sage was supposed to come from the outside, and Inusekai was Junko's home, already at one with the canines with her Kemono Shinzo heritage.
Still, the concept of harnessing natural energy did greatly interest her. Junko reasoned that having such a boon as a martial artist would give her that extra bit of edge to not be completely outclassed by Kanzaki and Ikuyo. The whole point of learning any of this was to not be a burden in the battles to come. Figuring there was some sort of way to divine how to do with using her talents in sealing techniques, Junko settled into her den one evening with ink and quill.
Junko had to go by the feeling of natural energy during the one time she was exposed to it during meditation for a test of compatibility. Before it began turning her to stone, she had felt it. A scroll could be used to test a specific set of seals designed to absorb chakra. The problem was writing them in such a way to interface with nature. It took half of the night to correct the imbalances with mixing it with chakra, leaving her with several reams of paper turned into stone.
Well past the hour of the wolf, Junko had a working prototype of the seal configuration, doing what she could to alter it in such a way that, in theory, it would pull in natural energy to the static seal while the user could move freely. Holding up the scroll a inch away from her face to examine the fine print one last time, she couldn't find anything she could see that caused any unbalance or interference. If used, she would not turn to stone, but it would alter her appearance, but that was an unavoidable remainder of her equations.
By the time the sun had risen, not only had she completed the seal, Junko applied the seal to herself, tucking it away on the flesh over her occipital bone, hidden by her long hair. Tired out of pretty little head, she rested her eyes and meditated on how to use the new seal with image training. It was balanced to her body specifically, meant to reinforce physical ability. The natural energy just happened to focus on her fortitude, making her body just as tough as some one twice or even three times her size. There was no elemental emphasis on the seal, just pure fighting spirit.
Yet, when she meditated on this, her body underwent a partial transformation, surrendering her conscious will over to that fighting spirit. The harder she tried, she could not imagine herself using established techniques and form, but instead carrying on with pure animal instinct. Contradictory, the forbidden seal did not add any animal or demonic features to her; instead, it took them away. Over it would make her less and less canine, in direct opposition to the animal sage training she based it on.

As a warm up for her sparring and training that day, Junko had gone to civilization to read. The final techniques of the styles she'd trained were now available to her. With simple meditation, some breathing exercises, and kicking and punching with chakra coating her body, she mastered the strongest techniques of her first four styles. Warmed up in a wide wooded field, confident that she wouldn't break anything, she opened up the first scroll she'd copied. Oblivion Fist called for a huge surge of strength in the upper body. Wanting to build up Junko chose her first target and leveled her knife hand at a tree, closed her fist, and punched. Cringing, she pulled back a few inches, and carried on with executing one inch punches, getting her knuckles used to the impact.
She'd carry on punching, putting more force behind her attacks. Gradually she added chakra to her strikes, gouging out more of the tree. Psyching herself up, she led herself to believe she was in an invincible state. More of her weight was thrown around, stepping into her punch until a spherical chunk had been removed from the trunk.
Hell, her hands needed a break. One scroll down, she unfurled the teaching of the Flowing Arts, eager to use her legs and not damage herself on wood. Hopping up and down her feet, she backed up and started image training. Surrounded in her head, Junko lashed out by jumping with her left leg, swinging with and landing on her right. A basic, smooth, and proper whirlwind kick.
More was added to combinations in tandem with what she'd read and studied. Instead of landing and starting up again, she'd lean her body forward. Catching herself on her hands, she'd vault up and off the ground, cycling her limbs downward and catching an enemy's head with her heels. Arms thrust out she'd execute another heel drop and slam another's head in to the ground with a hammer fist.
With more to go, her core was to focus of the next style, Small Circle Combative. Twisting and turning at her hips while remaining balanced like some kind of drunken master. Particularly eager to test one technique, she spread her arms wide and called chakra to her palms. Bumping her chest toward a tree trunk, she spiraled her hands around her and brought them to her chest when she impacted.
The tree rocked back at the anti-ninjutsu technique, which she hadn't anticipated. It was a younger sapling, but it'd still knock her on her a**. She knelt in to it, ramming her shoulder in and cracking it halfway, but enough. Catching it with both her hands, bent over with the trunk in her shoulder, she roared and split the tree itself, rising and throwing it over her shoulder with a turn of her heel.
Finally at a point where she didn't need to directly strike, Gentle Art would let her counter and throw people around. Kaoru would dance about on the balls of her feet. Encountering image training enemies, she'd twirl around them, grabbing a leg with one hand, knocking their knees perpendicular to the bend with her bum, and releasing her hold while thrusting the heel of her palm into their chests. Stomping with her foot, she molded chakra into her throat and shouted, blowing away dust leaves, and sawdust, cheering after.
The final style was thankfully based on meditation and observation. A good cooldown. Junko sat down, wiggled, and rested her wrists on her knees, breathing deeply. Chakra was built up, but was gentle, not forced out but allowed to flow naturally. As if out of body, she imaged herself not as her form, but as her chakra, and reacted with that in simple image training. A chop or grazing kick deflected with a crack of chakra through the air while she remained motionless.
She'd bring her closed fists together, touching the knuckles while the nails faced upward, making a loop of her own chakra. Relaxing her body further, she'd knead chakra through her hands, pulling it apart. While the energy over her body decreased, she felt more refreshed, just as eager to move as when she started the day. Actively converting her chakra back to the spiritual and stamina components, a polar opposite of the Black Heaven and Earth technique that was the core of the style she was developing.

With her martial arts training out of the way and her body's energies partially restored with meditation, Junko could put a few ninjutsu techniques under her belt. The first stage would be molding lightning chakra in to her hands, keeping her hands flat together after making a string of three seals. Pulling her palms apart, fingers touching, she focused the chakra into a gleaming blue ball, removing the yang energy within to make it almost pure yin, giving lightning form. This ball's nature would be refined with more concentration, arcs shooting out between her fingers, making the hair on her arms stand on end.
Now that she had achieved the nature, she moved on to shape. This would be where she pulled her hands apart, kneading the ball of electricity longer and narrower, closing her fist as it poured itself in her grasp.Taking a pause to catch her breath after the technique shocked her, she'd make another attempt to release her right hand, delicately twisting her wrist to wield the saber of lightning chakra in one hand. Repeating the process with a new pattern of hand seals, the energy would be pulled into then narrow lengths between her fingers and fist, not unlike senbon. Giving them a bit more density, she'd throw them all at once at a felled tree behind her, the needles not stopping at the bark, but passing clean through the wood.
Rolling to her feet, she'd finally strike a pose not unlike powering up to super saiyan, hunched over herself, her entire body coated in lightning chakra immediately. After the Kaiser Fist's armor training, something like this wasn't especially difficult. The signature jutsu of the element was a two stage one, and she had divined a method to use it without the fire element. Throwing her arms to the side, a charged mist flew out from her body as the lightning armor disappeared. With a combined effort of shifting her concentration, chakra, and a menacing hand motion, the cloud rose up into the air, bolts striking the higher tree branches around her.That works for me.

Out of the many random maruton skills, Junko's training in them took on a many different forms. Specifically, she'd force additional chakra into simple clones to make them the shadow variety. Using the shape transformation she'd learned with lightning and years spent with Kanzaki, she'd spiral a screaming torrent of chakra in her palm. A variety of skills were learned by manipulating chakra down her hair, targeting individual strands among the variable mane she had to use it offensively and defensively.
What related more to her lesser specialty, martial arts, was timing chakra bursts in conjunction with steps. At first all she could manage was loud bangs and mowing down grass, or in the other direction, causing pain in her shins. For nearly an hour she was mindlessly jogging around while her timing was too late or too early. Like a switch, Junko synchronized the movement of energy not with her feet leaving the ground, but the rotation of her ankle. Like that, she could flicker around at blistering speeds. Having always felt like she had some seventh sense and with basic knowledge of sensors, the afternoon was filled with pouring over book, laying on her back to relax. She had to link what her body was feeling with her chakra, which was a lot harder than it sounded. Early on, all she could do was pour far too much chakra into a low level technique to spread it around in a bubble. As the number of times she repeated this grew, so too did the amount of chakra she conserved.
With what she could feel on the blankets of chakra that got progressively wider, she could narrow down the specifics. Like a scent, Kanzaki, Ikuyo, and Tsubaki stood out as by far the most powerful. There was a burning attribute to the former two, and a familiar electric sting to the latter. She could smell the canine nature in her partner and the master pooch, and the leafy tones of Ikuyo's mokusen. The humans among them felt slower and weaker than her, physically, when compared to her own body, getting a feel for their ability as if she was there. [Learned All of the Sensory Techniques]
During her late night awake, Junko would be scroll reading and seal writing on blank parchment. The surrounding, sensing chakra was applied to the written characters, which when formed in close proximity and order, could accomplish varying things. Sealing and unsealing items from a scroll was simple; she'd already done that with Kya. A greater portion of this wasn't any real training, just rote memorization. Knowing what formula did what, in what situation, and in reaction to what medium. A touch, a chakra, another seal, a technique.
Flipping the equations inside out, another good few hours would be spent pouring over inversion fields. The sort of techniques that did not seal within, but sealed over an area on activation. Specifics had to be applied, leading to a number of branches. Spacetime, elements, sensing, shadow clones, and nature, to name a few. Junko had to recognize a seal on sight to read waht it could do, and in battle, a much shorter time span than just reading the characters seen in language. She may as well be learning a whole one.
The best had been saved for last, feeling giddy with excitement. That, or sleep deprivation. Kya must not have thought Junko had seen it, but she had stared for quite some time at the method for rites. In regards to chakra, summoner, and the one being summoned, this technique threw everything a student though about how spacetime could work. The hardest part was shifting around all of scripts to accommodate for any of this. Using her chakra to activate a seal elsewhere, effectively summoning herself. Instantly.
It needed testing before she sent herself through, naturally. With two rites places on the tips of mostly used parchment, she wrote down the formula, taking a rock in her off hand. Keeping two fingers up in a seal on one hand, with the other, she threw the rock at the papers. With her chakra active, the stone touched one seal and with no time passing at all came out from the other one, its momentum completely conserved. Some Time Later... Konoha ANBU HQ
Her first day after screening and selection, Junko had to undertake a few simple tasks around the building. First of which was the disposal of several corpses left over after another mission, brought back from the field for verification, which had been done by others. Her only task was to sever the heads and destroy the rest, since they had no secrets worth anything to the village.
