Description:
Kiremashima (切れ間 島, Rift Island) is a small island in the archipelago of the Land of Floods which was formerly the Land of Water. Using doton, Kagami Hari broke a mass of land off of the larger island and pushed it out into the sea. As a result, this island is completely off the map and completely unknown. A small settlement of approximately one hundred and twenty Kogarashi remnants has formed in an anarchic society. The Kiremashima population produce and trade in a bartering economy with no governance structure. Kiremashima was created when Kagami and her most loyal surviving followers escaped the destruction of Kogarashi by the victorious Storm village. Kagami and the Kogarashi remnants took refuge at Kiremashima and recluded from an angry world. Kiremashima is completely isolationist out of fear of the many who are hunting what remains of Kogarashi.

Kiremashima has emerald grass, hills, and a rocky coastline. The climate of the area is exclusively foggy and stormy. Kagami used a combination of fuuinjutsu methods and advanced genjutsu to further conceal the mysterious island. The illusory fog that surrounds the island is made of chakra and can manifest powerful hallucinations. A number of ships have passed through but always seem to get lost in the fog and become deterred from advancing any closer. This fog completely conceals the view of Kiremashima from the sea.

Kiremashima Castle was once a dilapidated stone structure on the original island that was separated. The castle was completely refurbished and made functional as Kagami's residence. It is fortified and connected to the settlement of Kiremashima as well. The castle is stilted and positioned in a small lake in the center of the island. Genjutsu is featured prominently within Kiremashima as illusory genjutsu seem to be easier to manifest. The locals often marvel that reality on Kagami's island is completely bent to her will.
