He had never expected Estia to grow so quickly, but it made sense- The promise of a life free of war was attractive to a generation seemingly beset by them. After two full scale conflicts and numerous regional skirmishes, people were tired. They needed a place to rest, a place of harmony. Belamos was one of those people. He carved out a nice little plot of land for himself and soon, enthralled by the idea of living under the protection of one such as himself, more joined nearby. At first he simply considered them his neighbors in the forest, but as more moved in and they started to seek his opinion on certain matters, it had become quite clear that the home he had hoped to start was no a community. It continued in this way for some time and as word of the quiet town spread, Estia was formed.
Belamos was not it's mayor nor it's leader- just one small part of the larger whole. True, he had been the nucleus of the project, but without those who sought the same goal as him then Estia would have never came to be. So he liked to make a point to personally greet each and every one of the newest members to the town and make their acquaintance. It was that thought that brought him to Sheva's doorstep. He had heard tales of her- a wild eyed woman who patrolled Estia in old, battle-worn armor, and kept mostly to herself at the edge of the town. While some of the civilians were wary of her, Belamos recognized it for what it was- unease. Peace and quiet was disturbing to one who had so frequently been besieged by the perils of war. Belamos himself suffered from it occasionally. He hoped his visit would help set the girl's mind to rest.
He knocked on her door with his free hand, holding a delicious smelling fruit pie that Sonyo had made in his other hand. Three clear knocks rang out on the wooden door, and after that he waited for the answer. He could hear that someone was inside, but would respect her privacy so as to be invited in first.

The girl who opened the door was young, hardly older than Aurelia and certainly young enough to be his daughter. She was perhaps a foot or so shorter than him with dark hair tied back in a long braid. Her appearance foretold a great beauty when she grew up a bit more, but for now, she still had the youthful appearance of a child- that is, except for her eyes. The girl had cold, harsh eyes; Eyes that knew suffering and bloodshed. He pitied that look but did not let it show. Instead, he smiled at her as her initial shock at his appearance wore off. It seems she knew him, but better to be safe than sorry. As she invited him in, Belamos thanked her for her hospitality and then crossed the room to here singular table. While the house was solidly constructed, the interior was pretty spartan. He appreciated the minimalism but hoped it was due to personal preference rather than a lack of money. He set the pie down and turned back to face her, noting the beat-up set of armor adorning the nearby wall "Oh, no, nothing is wrong. I just wanted to stop by and welcome you to Estia. My name is Belamos Karna, I have the farm out by the eastern edge of town. My family baked this for you as a thank you gift" He said, gesturing to the pastry "For your efforts in patrolling the town. We don't see much trouble out here, but we really appreciate your vigilance"
