Karuto's quinceanera. Takes place sometime after the founding of the muscle mansion.

You know what was hard? Tying a tie with one hand! For the fourth time in a row Karuto ripped the knot from around his muscled kneck and began fumbling at it again with his STUPID SAUSAGE FINGERS GOD DAMMIT HE HAD TO START OVER AGAIN! His anger was bordering on the comical at this point! He laid the tie out over his shoulders and measured it correctly and then, for the fifth time, began the annoying process of trying this stupid piece of cloth in the correct manner. God so help Lahlil if she had asked him to get all dressed up and meet her near the town square for nothing. The newly elected Hokage may have been all 'shock-n-awe' to everyone else but he remembered her dorky Suna days!

It had been less than a year since the war ended with him losing his arm and her ascension to the highest position in the land. During that period they had seen each other only a handful of times. She was, obviously, busy with restructuring the new village and picking up the pieces left behind. He, on the other hand (hehe), had been relatively...oh...what's the word? Bored-out-of-his-f*cking-mind! After he wrapped up physical therapy and had thrown away one half of his glove collection he had been pretty much twiddling his thumbs...-er, thumb. Turns out it's pretty hard to be a handi-capable ninja, and so retirement hit him like a freight train. While it was sad to be sure, his side project had been doing quite well. The gym was growing in popularity, and despite the No-Masato policy, business was booming!

Now, if only he could figure out this DAMN KNOT!

tab Standing in the precipice of change, that moment in time when the world is about to fall into the abyss, Lahlil wondered if there was ever a moment in time when other leaders stopped to wonder. Was this the right decision? Because this felt extraordinarily like the wrong decision, but Lahlil was long since past the point where sobriety factored into her decisions. It wasn't as if she had been drinking non stop, it's just that she had the unfortunate deposition of being a lightweight.

Thump Thump Thump

As she neared closer to the gym Karuto would undoubtedly hear the dull hammering of hundreds of stomping feets. Then all at once, a song, words unrecognizable but the beat was there. Growing louder with every passing moment it would be no time at all before a parade of monumental proportions was at his doorstep blaring it's collections of trumpets, drums, and tambourines.

Lahlil didn't bother to try and shout over the loud crowd but rather stood at it's head with an all too eager smile for Karuto to come out and see his surprise.

He had somehow got the knot tied and had even sat down at a quaint little outdoor cafe when he heard the first notes of the parade. The beating of the drum was so unexpected it nearly caused him to spill his mimosa. The war veteran whipped his head towards the sound of the noise, expecting an immanent threat. Instead, what he saw caused his jaw to fall slack with surprise. Lahlil, little introverted Lahlil, was literally leading a parade. As the parade wound its way down the street and into the town square on which he was stood at the edge of, Karuto just stared at the Hokage in amazement. The whole situation was so unexpected- it left him stunned!

He pushed his way through the crowd to her; being over seven foot tall made it quite easy. Once he drew abreast of the Hokage he realized the packed nature of the crowd caused the two to stand much closer to each other than courtesy would usually allow, and all the better as the cacophony of the celebration made it quite difficult to hear. Leaning down so that he could speak almost directly into her ear he called out "What is this?!" He tried his best to be louder than the surrounding fanfare, but who knows. He turned his head in kind to hear her reply, all the while stooping over to account for the substantial height difference between them

tab As Karuto pushed his way to Lahlil the crowd would react wildly to his presence. Confetti blasts of every colour of the rainbow fell from the sky in such a brilliant display that it was almost as if a writer had perfectly placed each individual one in preparation of this single moment! Unfortunately, the noise from the parade had reached a level far too strong by this point, though it wasn’t as if that mattered in this storybook adventure. With the jostling from the crowd growing rowdier it was by this happenstance that Karuto would be pushed into Lahlil alerting her attention.

She didn’t even hesitate, cheeks flushed with pink from the alcohol and inhibitions thrown to the wind Lahlil didn’t even hesitate to jump on him. “Hey loook what I made for you? Do you like it?” As she spoke the music died down just enough to allow speech between the two. Almost as if there was a dome a silence, though whether or not Kauto would notice this oddity was up to him. Arms still wrapped around his neck Lahlil moved past to whisper in his ear. “I never really thanked you for everything you did for meee, soo I wanted to pull together a surprise for you! ….kinda. Oh! There’s a part two that I still have to give you too but we gotta go to my secret spot!” Although her voice implied as if there was a ‘choice’ in the matter, It was clear from the wine on her breath that the fragile girl would be devastated by anything other than a yes.

As she threw herself at him, Karuto instinctively reached out to catch her. He found her face mere inches from his and his hands on her hips- wrapped up in a rather intimate embrace. He was glad she was so close, otherwise she might have seen the blood rush to his cheeks due to her proximity. He vaguely noticed the confetti that fell down around the intertwined pair, but the lions share of his focus was on her. The world seemed to fall away from them- the entirety of reality confined to the space that remained between them. He could smell alcohol on her. That explained her actions to him- a drunken overstep. Far be it from Karuto Raiken to press anything with someone in such a state, so in a modest voice he replied "Uh yeah, I love it! But, really, It was nothing- just doing my duty" When she mentioned that she had a second surprise for him and whispered in his ear, chills ran down his spine. He desperately wanted to take her by the hand and sprint to wherever she wanted to go, but cooler heads prevailed. He withdrew from her a bit, making sure to meet her gaze with his own. Through a slight smirk, he said "What did you have in mind, Lady Hokage?"

tab Smile fuzzy Lahlil took a swing at the man, launched with all the force of one who wasn’t thinking clear enough to hold back. Though all she managed to accomplish was a crumbled hand against his arm. His strength was always something that she had admired about him. It seemed to easy to protect people you care about when you were already physically strong. It felt like she always had to work so much harder just to complete the same tasks. “Don’t be so formal! This is my order my Miss, Lady, her Highness, and whatever titles I have Hokage. That you are not to address by anything other than Lahlil from now on. Now come on!” Grabbing Karuto by the hand Lahlil pulled him off to who knows where, her concentration breaking the genjutsu failed and the parade vanished into thin air leaving a multitude of staring villagers watching the two dance in the street. She had never liked to put people she knew in genjutsu usually as she was well of aware of the implications. Nobody liked a person who could freely mess with their thoughts and affect their decisions, it took away their free will. But regret was something for future Lahlil to deal with.

After about an hour of snaking through alleyways and hopping over crates the two finally arrived at a small clearing free of houses, people, and the like. The only decoration among the plain grassland was a stone bench overlooking a pond along with a tree to provide shade for those who decide to sit. As he neared closer Karuto would notice that that someone had thrown hundreds of pink flower petals into the water causing it to stain pink. In many ways it resembled a less stunning version of the lake at Uzu. After she dropped Karuto off at the bench Lahlil tackled the nearby tree like a spider monkey. The bottom on her shoes must have wore down five years in advance from the continuous sliding down the trunk but eventually she managed to reach high enough to retrieve a package, poorly wrapped in children’s giftwrap, from a hollow in the middle. Nearly tripping over herself in her excitement Lahlil placed it gently on Karuto’s lap while taking a seat next to him. “It’s not much but I made it special myself. A present for new Konoha’s first ever Sannin. That is if you accept..."

Every hero must face their end one day and often the passing of such an event can leave many disheartened. But fear not, for the ideals that burned so brightly in these individuals shall live on! Each wearer of this legendary armor is granted a unique ability to replace this one, allowing them to tailor it to their own unique brand of heroism. This special ability must be approved within the custom weapons forum and upon its passing, it's next owner may either keep the old ability or create their own.


Fighting Spirit | Rank X | Taijutsu | Cost [ Spritual ]
This ability allows the user to become capable of give form to their inner most being to strike out at their foes. When using an offensive Taijutsu technique the user may pay its cost again in chakra to create a force-like attack that follows immediately after the first attack has made contact. This ability is considered a copy of the original (after DR), meaning that it is both equal in power, as well as carrying the same effects as the first attack. It is considered spiritual in nature, and the cost of this technique must be paid before contact meaning that if you miss the first time around you are not refunded the chakra for casting this ability. Attacks made with this ability are treated as if it was a clone attacking, meaning it does do not consume an offensive activation from the user but should be treated as an attack activation in terms of swarming rules.


A Hero’s Resolve | Rank Null (passive) | Taijutsu | Cost [ Spritual ]
The final unique property of Greathearted Hero is its ability to test the resolve and dedication of not only it’s enemies, but it’s wearer as well. This test ensures that only the most courageous and determined individuals are ever capable of wearing it. When preforming any physical based technique the user may pay half of its cost (after any reductions) to [ Clash ] with any opponent they make contact with. If they do, for every [3] higher the total of their chosen stat is over their opponents, their opponents ability is treated as being [1] rank less in power, this effect may not reduce a technique below E this way. The caveat of this ability is that it also applies to the user, meaning that for every [3] weaker your stat is the reverse will happen. When paired with a physical style technique this ability does not consume an activation. (Corresponding stat would mean if your chosen stat in clash in was an offensive one then it would be verses its defensive counterpart, for example strength vs fortitude).

In response to her demand for informality, Karuto swept his leg back and executed a rather ornate, and impressive, sweeping bow "As my lady commands" He arose with a childish grin on his face, always amused at poking fun at Lahlil. He held onto that smile even as Lahlil led him across streets, down alleyways and through every back-woods route she could find. When they eventually reached their destination, Karuto seemed more bewildered than anything- the man had no clue where he was! As Lahlil went off to do whatever it is she came here to do, Karuto took a seat on the bench. He chuckled softly at the sight of the Hokage struggling to climb a tree "Just headbutt it until it falls over!" He said between soft laughs.

Eventually, Lahlil got to the top and retrieved whatever it was she had squirreled away up there earlier. Once she had the package in hand she made her way over to him and presented to him...a jumpsuit? He took the cloth into his hand and ran his fingers over it. It seemed ordinary if not well-made. But, still, he could tell it was made by hand and judging by the size of his clothes it must have taken the woman months to sew. For the simple act of the time required in it's creation by a person Karuto respect, he cared for it. Looking up from the bundle into her eyes, he smiled warmly at her "Wow. Thank you Lahlil. This is more than I deserve. Why did you hide this in a tree though- wait, did you say Sannin?" Standing bolt upright, he now moved with a wild, enthusiastic energy. He pointed a finger at his face, a mask of surprise "Me?!"

tab Unable to hold herself back anymore Lahlil swept backwards letting her giggles turn into full blown laughter at Karuto’s surprise. “So you do accept then, good!” Using his finger almost like a rope Lahlil pulled the man back down to sit beside her, either pretending not to notice or flat out ignoring it when his over sized frame rocked the bench just enough to dip her closer to him. Instead she used the closeness as an excuse to rest her head on his shoulder. “It’s supposed to be a thank you… for everything you did for me. Back during the war I mean. When I asked you to go fight, it was selfish. But you did it anyway.” Staring blankly out across the makeshift rose lake her voice and expression fell as the guilt of it all came weighing back on her. She never said anything about it but when he had come back without his arm, she had just about lost her breath. Before then she never even imagined he could get hurt and here he had gone and lost an arm all for her sake. That was the moment that Lahlil had first set herself of making the hero suit in the first place. Her own little way of making sure that it never happened again.

It was probably the alcohol talking, or maybe a mix of her guilt over desperately wanting to avoid the subject that lead her to slipping up. Either way to all came out just the same, in a breath like a sigh. “Do you remember Katsumi?” Even with her inebriated state of mind Lahlil didn’t make eye contact with him. “I never really understood how I felt at the time, but now when I look back on it I realize that I was jealous of her. Heh.. I remember following you two when you went to that little restaurant place in suna, and afterwards I must have tracked her around the whole village at least twice over. Do you think it’s weird to want what another person has?”

He allowed the woman to pull himself down to her level at the bench- more or less following her lead. As he sat down on the rough stone block, he couldn't help but gawk at the picturesque day laid out before them. It was one that made him just glad to be alive! The enjoyment was only multiplied when Lahlil leaned her head against his arm. While she spoke about his actions during the war, Karuto chose to remain silent. His smile lessened by a slight amount at his recollection of those events- the lead up and battle that had cost him his right arm. She was right though. He had fought for her- not for the leaf. But he didn't consider it to be selfish on her part. She was trying to help others and had merely used her most dependable tool. He couldn't fault her for that. But, regardless, he remained silent, for he did not wish to drum up past ills. However, when she brought up Katsumi, Karuto couldn't help but letting his jaw drop in surprise. He didn't know know she knew her! But when Lahlil said that she had followed them on their one, and only, date...well, let's just say he was glad she couldn't see how red his cheeks were under that beard "Uhh, no. I think it's natural. I guess it really depends upon what it is you covet" Then, inspired by some sudden burst of courage, he continued "For example, I wish I was half as brave as you are, Lahlil. The things you've seen, the things you've done...I couldn't have survived them" He spoke softly, leaning into her a bit as he did. tab He didn’t understand. Which was fine, it wasn’t like she really understood herself what she was saying. They were all only vague memories of what had already passed anyway, who knows maybe they weren’t even real. It just felt nice to get them off her chest. Her face lit up in surprise when he called her brave however. She certainly didn’t feel brave at all, as a matter as a fact she felt like she had just gone with the flow this whole time. Just letting life and everyone in it push her the direction they wanted. What was that called again? “Brave?” Even repeating the word to herself made Lahlil snort in laughter. “I’m just good at tricking people.” Bleary eyes looking back into Karuto’s own she didn’t pull away nor show any of her usual shyness. Instead she leaped up pressing her lips into his. The sensation was almost unbearable warm against her natural coolness, she could only stand it for few moments before being forced to pull away. Content sigh falling from her, Lahlil dropped her head back onto Karuto’s shoulder, the comfortability of this perfectly framed moment lulling her to sleep. “Karuto? I’m sorry I didn’t throw you a real parade. We didn’t… have the money…” Her last bits of resolve finally flickering out, her little frame remained there in a peaceful slumber.

This is only useable up to the users self ranked korabo level and each genjutsu is still treated as separate when interacting with kai. Any upkeeps are also increased to reflect this change.

He sat in silence, living in the quiet companionship forged between the two after neigh on a decade of hardships.

For the rest of his life whenever times got tough or Karuto became discouraged, he would remember the day in the park with Lahlil and would smile at the recollection of things long past.
