Plague sat quietly reading through an old scroll that belonged to her father. It had a detailed list of all the Jiongu techniques along with some of the other practices that they preformed. Plague ignored the more unpleasant techniques in favor of learning something that might help her protect those precious to her. It didn't take her long to read through the scroll as there weren't many techniques to the Jiongu. They were a rather straight forward clan when it came to taking the offense for the most part. She set the scroll down beside the bird like cream-colored leather mask that she normally kept plastered to her face at all times. The red veil with poppy embroidery laid on the grassy ground beside her mask. However, in the safety of her home she perfectly at ease with taking it off.

The three items were laid out before her as she sat in preparation for at least the most basic jutsu. It was the only technique she had ever seen her father use if only out of convenience. Performing the few handseals it took to activate the jutsu Plague stretched her hands out over the items. To anyone else it appeared that Plague's hands simply detached themselves like a doll at the joint of her wrists. Her hands became free of her arm, able to move independently, as the dark grey threads connecting her hands to her arm reached out to grab the mask and veil from the ground in front of her. With mask and veil in her grasp she used her hands to pick up the scroll once again. She could already see the medical convenience of such a technique, being able to do multiple things at once was very useful.

Placing all the items back on the ground, Plague stood up this time turning her gaze to a tattered target hanging on the fence on the opposite side of her backyard. Hands retracting back into place as she preformed the second set of seals. From here she swung her arm horizontally letting the wrist detach just enough to send three shreds of the thread that made up her being flying at the target board. Mid way the thread flattened and turned sharp mid-air before hitting the target in various places with a series of loud thuds. Once again letting her wrist slide back into place Plague looked down at her hand. Flexing her fingers slightly as she did so. It was an odd feeling. Literally detaching and throwing a piece of yourself like it was nothing. She had very little knowledge of her own anatomy and in the back of her mind it always bothered her more than a little bit.

The user releases some of their threads from either wrist, allowing the tentacle like "appendages" to be used for most anything a hand could. ( Keep in mind: each thread has a maximum length of three times the user's height. )

The user will swing their arm, using the vertical or horizontal momentum to launch a number of small thread pieces from their wrist joint. As they spin in the air, the threads will become flat and sharp, acting as if typical shuriken. ( Genin: 3 shuriken. Chuunin: 6. Jounin: 9. Konin: 12. Sannin: 15. )

Looking down at the scroll at her feet Plague could see the next in the list. It was, like the first few, fairly simple. As she read it the instructions for it all of a sudden Plague's right hand nearly fell straight to the ground. It stopped just before her fingers touched the blades of grass however. Underneath the sleeve of her kimono the threads in Plague's shoulder, elbow, and her wrist all stretched out. She raised her fingers to her face, elbow barely starting to poke out from the long sleeve. She flexed her fingers for a moment. This was something she never really got used to. It was a strange sensation to literally detach several joints all at once. Plague turned her hand and stretched her entire arm out across her small backyard to the opposite side. Her fingers curled around the threaded shuriken she had just thrown across the lot. Plucking them one by one she picked up the weapons. Retracting her arm Plague felt her shoulder, then elbow, and finally her hand reattach themselves in the correct positions. She placed the shurikens down on the ground before pulling the sleeve up on her right arm. From beneath her bangs she inspected her limb at the joints. Where thick dark grey threads kept the limb attached at the joints. She inspected the stitches to make sure it reattached correctly before pulling her sleeve back down.

Reaching down Plague nudged the scroll open a little further in order to see the next jutsu. Sighing lightly she saw that it was, quite possibly, the one technique that Plague didn't exactly want to learn. As a medical shinobi who dedicated her life to healing others a lance made of her own threads did seem very appealing to her. Kneeling back to the ground Plague read the through the last of her clan's ninjutsu.

There were only a handful that Plague was simply not interested in. Her father was adamant about somethings. One of which was not harming others if he could help it. He was so stubborn about that philosophy that Plague was certain he only know one or two jutsu that could actually be used for offense. Her mother had once told her how they had met, so she knew that her father had something to defend himself and others with. Whether those were or were not from the Jiongu bloodline were a mystery though. A sigh escaped her once again at the her parents. The empty house behind her loomed like a constant reminder that she could no longer ask her parents about such things. No more advice, no more lessons to be learned, nothing. Now she had to rely on memories from years ago. Turning her gaze to the blue sky she watched as a fluffy white cloud edged into view, blocking the sun out for a second before moving on.

As the cloud passed by Plague couldn't help but think of Shuu. She was tasked with keeping him healthy, but also safe. Keeping him safe meant that she would eventually be caught in a fight. One in which she may have to defend Shuu by taking the offensive in a fight. Plague looked back down at the scroll in her hands. Gazing at the the very last jutsu in the list. For the briefest moment Plague considered learning the jutsu right then and there. However she placed the scroll back on the ground next to her veil and mask before standing up. She turned and walked back into the house behind. Thinking she could mull over the idea of learning such a technique for the sake of the last person she cared for.

The user relaxes and outstretches the threads that occupy the shoulder, elbow, and (optionally) wrist joints. This simple act grants an incredible increase in physical reach, while not reducing any of the user's actual strength. ( Keep in mind: each thread has a maximum length of three times the user's height. )
