So, hour and a half swearing at the computer.
Hour and a half drawing on the wrong layer.
Hour and a half of actual work xd
It's been a mission but I think I'm finally getting the hang of Clip Studio.

Might even be brave enough to have a go at Witchsona tomorrow.

Day # 32
Theme: Personified a season - Winter



Comments: This is not how it looked in my head.
And I can't find my white gel pen so I haven't been able to add the snowflakes I wanted to the black background.
And the wings stopped looking so frosty when I inked in the black so I might get rid of them completely and put something white in over the top.

Definitely a WiP.
Definitely coming back to this later.

Comments: *struggling*

It's very breezy here this weekend.
Our house is pretty much the first thing on top of a hill on the Welsh coast so when it gets windy our house groans.
I haven't had much sleep.

Her feet are too small, her legs look weird and I havent had time to put the background details in.
Happy with the hair though.

I've been scribbling for well over an hour.
Still practicing with Clip Studio Paint and I'm feeling much better about it now that I have had a change to see how to customise stuff,
I'm still struggling a bit with making the brushes do what I want but I'm sure I'll get there eventually!

Day # 36
Theme: Recreate a fairytale in your own style



Comments: Couldn't face the computer today. The builders are here repairing my collapsing kitchen ceiling so my ENTIRE kitchen is now in my studio crying

Anyhow.

Reverted to my happy place (ink) and re-imagined Little Red Riding Hood having a lovely picnic with the Big Bad Wolf.

Theme: Draw an action scene

Comments: So, it's half term. I though it would be fun to take the kids to the soft play in the next town (an hours drive away - there's no soft play here)
Seems like every other parent in the county had the same idea. My action scene today has been sitting on a wooden bench drinking overpriced instant coffee while my kids (and about 10,000 others) charged round screaming their heads off.

Nice glass of wine for me this evening I think.

Comments: So today I've been working on improving Day 32 'Personified a season - Winter'
I didn't like how the wings came out and I felt like it needed more colour and texture.
I'm still not entirely sure I like the blue but I'm much happier with the texture.
And I'm still messing about with the wings. And the skin.
I feel I'll probably be working on this for a while.

Day # 42
Theme: Spirit Challenge: Promotional AF

Comments: Today I drew Hanako Nakamura for kassthesassmaster.
Completely out of my comfort zone here. I know the spirit challenge said 5 sketches but I'm fading fast. And this wasn't a quick sketch.
I underestimated how big this image was and ran out of paper for feet.

And I've been up since 5am and it's nearly 11pm now.

I found some lovely avi's to draw in my thread though so I will be going back and working my way down the list!

Day # 44
Theme: Strawberry



Comments: Well this was all going swimmingly, then I decided I was finished and my strawberry looked like it was floating in space so I quickly and without thinking scrawled in some shadow at the bottom an INSTANTLY regretted it.
So now we have 'strawberry rolling down a hill'.
