I’m Yuki-Onnit!!!
kneeling politely as she listened to their instructor, the Yuki-onna as well as the rest of the students present from her graduate class of the academy. They were doing additional training courses that came beyond the basic graduation, learning and practicing elemental or genJutsu often required people to practice on....no with, we will say practice with not on! So they were going to be participating in practice bouts with one another to effectively use their techniques in mock combat. Yua unlike most of the students was dreading this for a few reasons that she’d rather not speak about, a girlfriend from her year knew was the issue was a giggled quietly as Yua was called and slowly rose to her feet, covering her face for a moment and shaking her head negatively before walking to her starting position and giving a short bow to her opponent who was a boy a year older than herself who specialized in Buki-jutsu and tai-Jutsu wielding his fists at the beginning anyway. Just as the Jonin present told them to begging, Yua spoke instantly and directly forming a handsign Stop where you are now, give up before you freeze! Her words rang out carrying with them an Icey wind that cut into Jax like a knife, the genins body instantly seizing up after she spoke as he darted towards her. Despite the crushing pressure of the perceived cold he reached her quickly and nearly planted his hand into her chest, a shockwave pulsing a few feet from its end point.

The strain put on his body allowed Yua to step round his arm and clutch onto it as well as slam the back of her hand into the side of the head, staggering him sideways with the impact as she used a flowing arts counter strike. Yua used this chance to lock the arm she had a hold of and turn him so she could hug him from behind, the genin cursing as frostbite was welting on his face and arm as he struggled..... but by this point she’d made a victim of the poor boy as icicle spears started exploding out of the ground all around the both of them, pinning he as well as herself in place as she started eating into his chakra supply. He yelled as he tried to struggle free, but by the time the ice began to crack she had amplified her draining abilities to devastating level, the body turning pale fast as hers stayed to manifest as she was overcharging her limits and her body was expelling the chakra that was unneeded and she started to create more ice and drain more. It was then that the ice was smashed apart and she was pulled off of Jax before she knew what was going on. She didn’t realize she was flushed and breathing heavily, almost intoxicated from the chakra overload as she had incongruously switches from draining his chakra to draining his life force.

The Jonin yelled for her to stop as she rose her hands to show she was done, embarrassment and guilt crawling over her as Jax spluttered and threw up, the girl deactivating her illusion and stepping forwards to offer to return what she took but was met with refusal and told to stay where she was. Sorry, I didn’t mean to... I was nervous and didn’t realize how much I was draining... please forgive me. She said when Jax had drunk some water and got his breathe back. He look rather angry but accepted the apology before admitting being totally helpless and taking part of the blame for being stubborn and not conceding. Now that that had been settle, Yua had her second opponent to deal with, one who ranked a little higher in the class than Jax but none the less looked a little concerned. Now the technique she’d used earlier to catch Jax with earlier hadn’t actually been the Jutsu she’d used with her handseal, no that Jutsu was an illusion she cast on everyone present so they could see and perceive what Jax could. This was all so she could use the exact same technique each and every round for the sake of having this as a viable technique to use, it was extremely useful and she was very good at genJutsu, apparently due too her being an actual yokai.

Surrender or meet a similar fate as Jax!! She yelled , again immediately after the Jonin signalled the start of this round, this time however she was answered with an enormous fireball coming her wall causing her to yelp and disappeared in a bodyflicker to avoid the strike, reappearing beside him and snatching toward him to try and take a hold. Despite his being afflicted by her genJutsu, he managed to get out of the way, then proceeded to block the straight kick she launched as follow up swinging her off of her feet and throwing her, a little earlier than he meant to as he felt his stamina beginning to be pulled out from him on contact “Damn that tricky!!” He said looking at his palms for a second as they felt the cold and uncomfortable sensation tingle of the drain lingering behind. The girl who was sent flying by the throw swung both arms in his direction as she went, several arrows of ice forming in midair and firing at him in quick succession. Blocking the first two with swiftly drawn kunai he wasn’t filling prepared for them to shard apart and launch needles in immediate succession from that point, plastering him with a barrage of ice and disappeared in the produced mist of the fragmenting ice and force of the impacts cutting him out of sight.

Yua at this time went cascading into the ground and rolling away, not actually harmed but unable to immediately stop herself as she was thrown ridiculously hard, finally skidding to a halt fifteen feet away and fighting herself and habitually brushing herself off before, confident she’d hit the other boy with her projectiles. She was correct with this guess but not with the how....the guy had been lucky in that he took the hits to his side and blocked most of the arrows save one, the needles and that arrow piercing low into his arm but that had snapped him out of her genJutsu and had actually went on the attack immediately, his fist crashing into her kidney, bending her sideways and making her feel like time slowed down for a moment before the shockwave happened. If Yua thought he threw her far, then he punched her an enormous distance, the Yuki-onna smashed and bounced fourty five feet before hitting into the wall causing an explosion of rock upon impact as everyone looked on in shock. The boy stayed on guard but moved over to see if she was ok, he thought she’d be more on guard and blunt the impact but she had been careless and got hit, his eyes widened when he saw her laying on he size covered in blood and twitching spasmodically.

A moment of kindness can is generally seen as a moment of weakness to your standard Yokai, they all knew this even if a little kinder than the belief... however this was practice, meaning that using such weaknesses was fair game in her opinion, especially as he had struck her with all the force of a cannon at point blank. The thing is though, was when she was struck she actually incurred no damage as her vital force was good and full, expending it reflectively as she was struck and nullifying all damage, striking the wall was intentional and allowing him to come close was also intentional, the her spasming on the ground was a high powered wind clone ready to go boom at about... now! The boy grabbed the clone and started turning it as it detonated, launching him like a cannon into the air and impacting into the ceiling with a slam, he managed to catch himself on the way down, however was met with the unpleasant sight of the Yuki-onna inhaling deeply with two fingers in-front of her mouth, blasting snow and violent winds that blasted him into the wall she had hit, bouncing off and down into her awaiting arms in a tight embrace, immediately tapping out as he was winded and could not talk, Yua assisting him stay on his feet, rubbing his back gently as she deactivated her drain and tried to help him feel a bit better.

The Arashigakure was a great city but had its flaws, there were criminal elements and the Yuki-onna was tasked with assisting the police force with a small unofficial mission to test her abilities and put some deserving people behind bars, possibly after a brief hospital stay. Yua was thrilled a little more than she honestly felt the humans would appreciate but that didn’t bother her in the least, she was allowed to feed on these people as long as she didn’t take a damaging quantity. Her targets for today were a group who was suspected of assisting the human traffickers in the limelight district, as well as thieves, thugs and suspected other crimes as far as murder and she’d memorized all the faces of the more dangerous faces among the targets. Anyone not recognized was to be dealt with appropriately, although she was expected to show a level of restraint, no one was to die.. a human sentimentality to spare them death in her opinion but she attempted to empathize due to her different mindset. Yua arrived at the back alley she was told they were expected to be and hello and behold a man stood guarding a door, unfriendly looking for sure and definitely one of the targets, this made her smile to herself as she performed a handseal and disappeared into the background through the chameleon technique. Yua approached her quarry as she activated her life eating technique and promptly grabbed him from behind, popping him up off his feet and shifting his posture to slam him into the ground back first so as to wind him whilst keeping a hold of one of his arms.

The man wheezy a yell dying on his lips as he had nearly no idea what was happening, he would have shouted “shinobi” if he was able to breathe but he’d barely registered he was winded and this invisible force was twisting his arm and managed to flip him onto his face and plant itself upon him. Even worse was he felt a crawling and horrible feeling as Yua leeched his chakra from him, pain ringing from a probable concussion and a strange burning sensation wherever he was gripped by the unseen attacker. He attempted to yell but again he was to winded and suffering too much at this point, he was dying in his opinion and terrified, believing he was getting killed and eaten by some monster or evil spirit and this thought that crossed him mind as his vision darkened and he passed out. Yua dismounted him at this point, letting him go before moving him out of the doorway and creating a tall set of frozen prison bars about ten feet on either side of the door to prevent anyone escape that way, making the ice extremely translucent to hide it from obvious view. Yua then attempted to open the door and discovered it was clearly locked when she pulled on it, frowning step took a step back and the spun about to deliver a powerful roundhouse kick at the centre of the door.

The door was crushed inward, snapping the lock and making it swing violently inward with a thunderous noise. Subtly was not in Yuas agenda here, she’d cased the building before coming so the first thing she did was raise her hand and utilize her ice release to freeze the front exit to the building so that these people were well and truly stuck with her, able to discern its location from memory without need of seeing it. She was greeted the way she expected to be, by a man with a shocked expression reaching for a weapon as he kept to his feet, another yell from a different room indicating she made her presence rather obvious which she already expected. The man who had just grabbed a sword turned to run at her, the Yuki-onna raising a hand with her index finger extended and speaking Dont you try it! She snapped at him, shooting him a glare as he immediately felt her staple genJutsu rake his physical abilities as he felt freezing cold cutting into him from wind the seemed to emit from her mouth as he could barely move, Yua using her chameleon technique again and scooting over to him, snatching his wrist and whirling him over her shoulder, throwing him forcefully into the ground before dropping to the ground and locking his arm with her legs and grabbing him by the wrist before proceeding to pull. The man Screamed in pain as two of his friends arrived at this moment and yelled to know what was going on, he could only my scream “Get her off of me!!!” In-between his agonized pains as he struggled with the now unseeable Yokai.

The other two looked around swiftly before beginning to run towards him, a loud crack sounding thorough the hallway before they got to him as they saw his arm snap back and break from and invisible force, their friend immediately going pale and howled in complete agony, his face contorted as a result as he grabbed at the broken arm and writhed. Yua has released him and whitely rolled past the other two using their friends agony, her cloak wearing off just as she passed them, the girl giving a brief whistle to catch the other twos attention, her hands together in a handsign as she charged chakra into her hair. The other two spun around, instantly realizing what wa going on and lunching at her semi-sinister smiling form as her hair animated and grew towards them, flooding the hallway and grasping at the criminals to bind and restrain them. The effort they put out was valiant but fruitless, managing to get a few hacks into the tangling mass before they were totally restricted and started the feel the wracking pain of her life eating Jutsu in action. Yua was about the ask them a question but a sword smashed into her shoulder from behind causing everyone to freeze for a moment before the assailant spoke with fright in his voice “W..What the ********?!?” He said in disbelief as not even her clothes were damaged by his blade and the small girl slowly started to turn, her happy expression reduced to one of sheer irritation as she looked more mature and less human as she seemed to visually side him up and consider something. “The hell do you want yokai, you cannot do this you can’t just attack people, this village has laws so leave before we call the authorities!” He yelled as more people started to gather behind him, mixed aggression and fear, some yelling coming from the front of the building as people were trying to break the door open.

Yua decided on her response to this, her hair receding as it dropped the other two unconscious beside their sobbing accomplice. Slowly a grin crept across the face of the Yuki-onna, straightening herself as she spoke with a level of ire Don’t think that this is going to go the way you think, I might be a Yokai.... but I’m here on an official capacity and you are all under arrest! She flipped her scarf out as she said this to reveal her protector plate attached to the scarf just hidden within the folds to show she wasn’t lying. With those words she took a defensive stance and started to walk towards the group, her sinister gaze not faltering for an instant. The pressure she applied doing this caused the man in front to go off of the fight instinct, as there was only two options here, Kill her or give up as she’d made running away impossible and they weren’t going to surrender, this he stepped forwards and lunged at her with his sword, aiming for her chest. Yua stepped to the side and lent her body as she did so, swaying out of the strike the man attempted, raising her further extended arm to backhand strike the side of his skull as she sent the momentum of her dodge into the force of the strike. Hammering into the wooden floor the man almost found himself smashed down to the floor beneath them, half imbedded into the ground and completely out cold.

Yua shook her hand as she’d struck the fellow far to hard and that had stung a little as the backhand slap she had done was lacking proper technique. Then all hell broke loose as this group of silly people started rushing her, numbers would not equal victory for these silly people, Yua grinning and shooting back as she unleashed one of her most powerful genjutsu Drop your weapon and fight among yourselves..... the winner will get a kiss! She said, manipulating these people like the pied piper. At this all hell broke loose as these people started swinging and kicking, punching and grabbing, tripping and crashing, struggling and more, Yua watching with vast entertainment as she didn’t need to do much her. Yet so jerk came charging from the crowd to ruin her being lazy, he must have just arrived and thus avoided her technique, unarmed as well, this one was brave! He got up to her quickly, clearly showing that he had some ability above the others... in fact he was their leader she realized, C-rank threat if she remembered correctly and now in her face. She blocked a large punch, flying backwards from the force a dozen feet or so, Yua a littleboleased that she had resorted to blocking over just taking the hit... her training has paid off.

I’m Yuki-Onnit!!!
standing in possibly the most awkward clothes she had ever worn, the Yuki-onna was present in the dojo like a normal human being. She wore black shorts and a white t-shirt and sneakers. She had literally been supplied these clothes and told to change by an instructor, she did So despite being thoroughly annoyed about the matter, she didn’t understand why her kimono was unacceptable.... more she did and she just didn’t want to accept it. Why the heck am I being required to do these pushups, I just said I don’t feel you should push your fashion expectations on me just cause this is a dojo... She would state whilst straining to finish the last twelve pushups expected of her, the problem was that number just increased by fifty and the Yuki-onna made a vocal whine but didn’t speak as the instructor offered to increase the number if she didn’t like their choice so she chose the smart option of obedience. Yua lay in a heap on the Dojo floor after finally completing all off the pushup, groaning and panting as she needed a bit to recover.... she wished she had her immortality but it seemed to impede on any real physical training and thus she was expected to do this whole thing the mortal.
The girl almost began to cry when the instructor told her to do a set of sit-ups, numbering around about half the quantity of the first exercises. Slowly, like a caterpillar she wiggled herself into the appropriate position, the instructor putting their hands on her feet to hold them down, signalling for the yokai to begin. With a strained noise and with a level of effort that basically caused the instructor to have to restrain laugher and look away from Yua to not burst out into hysterics as Yua forcefully and slowly managed to perform her very first sit up and promptly fell backwards and voiced that this had to be some severe form of torture as she sighed after and struggled to complete the second sit up of fifty, it taking near eight seconds from beginning to end to complete before she fell back again. At this point the instructor pointed out Yua did it wrong and that this one did not count towards the total that manage to cause the girl to sit up in shock and open her mouth to complain, however the instructor counted an increase in sit-up count causing her mouth to open in surprise, deciding to accept the count without protest as she tentatively lent back to the floor again with her hands behind her head.
Yua slowly and agonizing pushed herself situp after situp with increasing confidence l, feeling she might have the hang of this exercise technique, not exactly realizing how she was away to feel when she got ten more along. Slowly after she had this confident though she began to slow down immensely until finding herself unable to pull herself all the way up and squeaking in mortification and genuine disbelief. The results of this led into Yua loudly complaining about being unable to just ride off of her immortality and getting slightly annoyed about this, she almost talked her way into a minor tangent but the instructor simply flicked her forcefully in the forehead making her head kickback and cutting her off completely as she feel backwards. “Yua you are not weak but you have absolutely zero endurance, your immortality has become a crutch for you and you gave up the better part of that, you need to get used to this sort of thing so you don’t continue to rely on it and loose yourself in combat, this training isn’t about you it’s about your allies and you not being a danger to them!” The instructor told her without holding back her irritation with the uncooperative girl. “So you can chose to either force yourself to be able to do this and without such resistance or you can just give up becoming a shinobi, those are you options so get to it or get out of my sight!” The instructor told her without restraining her anger and trying to provoke Yuas more thoughtful nature.
The little Yuki-onna was polite and well behaved, hard working and skilled, however she was not accustomed to how humans did things and clearly never really trained a day in her life before coming to Arashigakure. This meant that her natural abilities and long life which she used to hone them casually but without any real dedication had burned in the idea that this sort of thing was unneeded, then there was the fact that rigorous activity burned energy and Yua was constantly concerned about her energy levels and getting hungry if they dropped to low. She was so accustomed to micromanaging her own survival that she was unable to get used to the fact she could get food whenever she wanted and even some nicer people would let her take a lick of Vital force from them, the thing she really and truly hungered for on a primal and instinctual level. Getting rid off this problem by her increasing her physical and spiritual abilities was a obvious plan of action but she was as stubborn as her real age but acted like she looked when she didn’t enjoy or want to do something so hopefully stabbing at her personal goal would cause her to nut up and shut up. Turning to look at Yua the instructor could tell that this little proverbial slap had struck hard as the quirky yokai was now frowning in a thoughtful manner and not complaining.
Sorry i was being childish... I didn’t mean to act so selfishly, please keep teaching me... I’m trying to take it seriously I promise... Yua said, clearly embarrassed and feeling a level of shame. It was impressive that this could work so well in the instructors opinion as they turned back to Yua and clapped their hands, stating that they would continue and Yua would need to do any extra sit-ups if she didn’t complain. It took Yua fifteen more minutes to drag herself through the rest of the sit-ups, a few noises of displeasure and struggle escaped her lips but no more words against the training. FIFTY ahhhhhoooooo. She voiced on the very last one before legitimately collapsing into a heap, almost dead looming considering how pale she was but her clearly laboured breathing would prove otherwise. Interestingly a small round of applause rang out in the dojo as people had watched her push past her limits and make it through the sit-ups, although not truly impressive it was at least impressive for her to manage to finish this considering how much she complained and struggled. Yua blinked as she lay there, lifting an arm to acknowledge this and waving before allowing it to drop limply, asking for a few minutes or she might actually die... what an exaggeration!
The snow Lass basically rolled to the corner of the dojo and lay about for twenty or so minutes, Yua literally exhausted beyond a doubt, her limbs aching as she slowly regained her breathe. The instructor came to her after about ten minutes and gave her a drink to sip on that was for sports and athleticism, making sure Yua didn’t gulp down the liquids as she’d possibly make herself sick considering she wasn’t totally used to how her body worked... in fact she was not used to it much at all. At the end of these twenty minutes Yua finally managed to pull herself up and slowly got to her feet before stretching a little and rubbing her limbs in an attempt to dull the throbs of pain or discomfort Ok, I’m ready for whatever’s next! She said with pained enthusiasm as the instructor looked her over almost dubiously whilst considering what would be best next. The answer was running, increase her cardio and basically focus on that and minor other exercises, pointing at the dojo’s wall she told Yua to do twenty laps causing Yua to flinch and hesitate. The cigs of Yuas brain didn’t turn for long as she sighed and dropped her head defeated before taking a large inhale of air and straightened up, turning toward the wall and jogging over to it before she started to sluggishly start to do the instructed laps, with rather poor running form... well jogging form.

I’m Yuki-Onnit!!!
It was today!!!! Today was the day, the best day, the day a whole new world opened up! A day of respective freedom to walk around in the open without the fear of someone trying to kill her or everyone running away in terror for similar reasons. She knew discrimination would certainly be a thing and she intended to not let it provoke her and would instead show understand and try to help ease those less comfortable with the concept of Yokai being around. Not important for now, right now She and about a hundred other Yokai were all going to be arriving at the Arashigakure and Yua marvelled at the prospect of it. The young Yuki-Onna and two other Of her kind walked three abreast a few meters away from the rest of the Yokai as their breathes showed the reason as to why, visible icey mist appearing in front of them as the breathed or spoke, the three excitedly talking about what they intended to do when they were finished registering. Ohhhh it’s so amazing that the people of the Arashigakure would see fit to let us become citizens, can you Imagine trying this at any village fifty years ago?!? Never would’ve believed we can live peacefully with the humans!!! She chimed to her two kin giggling happily afterwards as they also giggled at the thought and agreed.
The three of them continued to walk in a slow circle around the majority of the large Yokai group to disperse their effects and had been doing for for a few hours without tiring. A few Oni has taken to hurling complaints and disdain at them each passing, the girls had responded the first couple of times but not it was just annoying and they simply ignored the orgefolk and continued chatting among themselves instead, although on of them threw a casual snowball to wind the ogres up a little and vent annoyance at their attitudes. Yua simply laughed at this before pointing excitedly as a shadow started to cross over the threshold, indicating the arrival of a transport to take them to their soon to be home, well some of them. Two of the transport elevators arrived, they would allow about fifty of the Yokai to board and ascend to the village. Boy were these humans creative, the Floating village and contraptions to allow people to ascend were marvellous and ridiculous. She was fully up for the the challenge of riding this up to the village although her two friends and some other Yokai were leery.
One thing that irked Yua was the the lucky Tengu had all flown up before the rest of them, following a transport and the older or younger tengu rode the transports and then also humans had first priority because they were awaiting the transports before the Yokai even arrived. Something fun seemed to be coming off of the elevator, Yua and her friends watch as food carts were wheeled off of the elevator and a few people with boxes of good who piled them with the cart people before collecting quantities of products and then carried dozens of boxes, giving them to the Yokai, each containing welcoming bentos and some food snacks and drinks to look after them whilst they waited and to show some hospitality. Yua and her friends ceased their pacing and watched the cart runners and vendors with fascination, although with a level of anticipation as they could tell that these people were good natured and willing, but a little nervous, understandably in the Yuki-onnas opinion as the majority of Yokai waiting were Oni, a few half humans kicked about as well but were hard to discern at a distance unless half Oni, the single horn a given away, although apparently a human could gain similar features by taking in Oni blood.
As they watched a younger man, maybe two years older than Yua appeared took notice of the trio and signalled at them with an arm, pointing at the empty containers he’d been using to carry these offerings of food and drink and then holding up a finger to indicate he’d only be a minute and would be with them in a moment. He seems like a nice guy, wanting to bring us some food whilst we wait, how sweet!! The Yuki-onna exclaimed, pressing her hands together In excitement and bouncing on her feet slightly watching him head back to restock, a smile on her face as she looked to her two friends for affirmation to what she said. The oldest of the three nodded in agreement, the other too however she made the playful comment I wonder is he’d be sweet enough to feed us himself, why don’t you ask him Yua? It’ll just be a little nibble, I’m sure he wouldn’t mind if you tried con-vin-cing-him-like-THAT!. The woman said, leaning in and saying the last part teasingly in the younger Yokais ear, hiding her mouth as she smiled mischievously when she lent away and began to watch him intently.
The oldest Yuki-onna and the one who made the comment both laughed at the comment, not being entirely serious but not being completely playful either. Yua knee this but simply the concept of what the said was ultra embarrassing and caused her pale complication to shift red as she straightened up and pulled her scarf up to hide her face shaking her head “no” and looking at the man then the other two in mortification as she unintentionally imagined exactly what was being implied.... Yua May have been old, by she had a younger mentality and maturity as being long lived came with some strange side effects... a humorous aspect was that despite the fact she definitely had fed on a decent quantity of people, she only ever held them and occasionally allowed her lips to touch someone’s cheek, hand or forehead, she’d never properly kissed someone voluntarily on the lips and the prospect of using her body and allure to convince a guy to let her feed on him was inappropriate and simply extremely embarrassing as an idea to her. W..Why would you even say that?!?! That’s not funny, those jokes aren’t cool, if I... if he... if we... eeeeeeeeeekk!! Take it back Setsuna! Right now cause it’s not funnyyyy!! She whined at her friend, squirming again and trying to get her thoughts elsewhere, turning to the other two and gently pounding on Setsunas chest with the bottom of balled hands as she harmlessly whacked her friend who recoiled laughing.
ok Ok!!! You win haha, I promise I was joking so stop that already, you’re too innocent you know.... you’re so cute it’s so much fun to tease you or perhaps nibble of you instead, Y-U-A-Chan! She said, leaning in close to Yuas face and feigning going for a kiss to cause the girl to recoil and cease her minor tantrum, winding Yua up over this sort of thing was something she enjoyed quite a bite, even if Yua did not. Not funny!!! Yua said with a frown, inflating a cheek in an annoyed pout as she manifested a snowball and threw it as her friend. After striking Setsuna with the snowball, the two of them immediately erupted into a snowball fight that only Yuki-onna could probably do. First snowball struck we friend in the side of the head, messing up the woman’s hair a little, who scowled in annoyance, manifesting a couple snowballs of her own and throwing them back. Yua sucked the first, the second smacking into manifested ice shards that formed as she moulded chakra which burst with the snowball blocked. Yua started to manifest another snowball laughing and exclaiming that her friend missed, only to be cut off by a snowball thrown by the oldest one, who had taken the snowball that the youngest of three dodged.
Yua yelped and spun to see her aggressor, instinctively throwing the snowball she formed back at her friend in vengeance, he friend blocking it with her arm and a second as Setsuna threw one that just missed Yua and flew at the older one again. This resulted in the older to the Yuki-onna getting another snowball to the face as Yua threw it at her blind spot, causing her immense annoyance, the woman forming snowballs in mid air and began to rapid fire pepper the other two who were reduced to running around it an attempt to reduce the amount that would hit them whilst yelling at her to stop. Their older sister would not have relented, however a call out from behind caught her attention as the nice young man was trotting over to them with new boxed lunches and snacks, waving a hand as he jogged towards them “Hello!! We thought you all might be hungry, so in celebration of your acceptance to the village were are offering you some food and samples of some of our products!!! Go to the cards and you can visit any of them until these coupon are all used!” He said waving some colourful paper that ended out having ten boxes and a single check mark each, a polite written greeting and welcome to the village written upon it as he handed the oldest Yukionna the coupons and indicated for her to split th between the three of them.
The older Yuki-inna smiled and thanked him, following his instructions after introducing herself with a bow and glaring at the other two to do the same. Yua waited till last and approached the young man, Hey there, thank you So much for this! I’m Yua, it’s a pleasure to meet you and thank you so much for this! She said after wiping snow off of herself and fixing her hair, her hands clasping of one another within her sleeves As she gave a traditional bow, waiting to smile until after the greeting so as to show she was taking the greeting and generosity seriously before giving a sweet smile and relaxing her posture to a slightly more casual one. The man bowed back, blushing at the extremely warm welcome from the three cool beauties, Yua realizing the man was blushing slightly as he presented the all with Bento boxes a a couple of carrier bags filled with some bottled drinks and some things cooked at the carts whilst staring “Ughh yeah, My makes Dale it’s a pleasure.... well these are all what you get with the first use of the coupon, you can use the rest to try something you didn’t have Or something you enjoy you can ask the one who serves it and they will give you your order and check one of the boxes off. We hope you enjoy, let me know what you guys think when I’m done serving everyone!” He said, shivering a little as the girls cold aura started to get to him, however bowed again politely before running off to continue what he was doing.
That was nice of him wasn’t it Yua? Seems these people are alri... Setsuna stopped speaking as she turn to see Yua gazing at the contents of her bento box with eyes that could only be described as sparkling, Setsuna giving an awkward expression as she watched Yua turn towards her with her multi ringed gaze and state Ohhhh my god this is amazing, it looks so goood!!!!! I’m gonna eat this all right now!! She said, sitting down on a chair of ice she created as her knees bent, placing the Bento in her lap and pulling out the chopstick and looking to the other too with a face that basically said “Well? You eat too!” The other two smiled and almost reluctantly sat down like she did, chakra of ice forming beneath them as they followed the same motions as her. She unlike them spoke the traditional human “thanks for the food” phrase that was quite common before separating the chopsticks and assaulting the bento box like a starving person. The other two are with a slight amount more grace but due to a certain reason they too are the bento as great speed before pulling out the carrier bag of snacks they had also been provided by Dale. First was takiyaki, Yua starring at the ball she stabbed with a toothpick, twirling it about as she did so, watching mist coming Off of it.
One thing she didn’t really need to do was blow on her food as it just being in near direct proximity of her would be enough to lower it to an acceptable level. Despite this hot food in a cold mouth, even slightly cooler would be hot to someone as chilly as herself, her face screwing up as she huffed ungraciously, almost knocking the food on the ground as she snatched at a drink and waved the food down, cooking the food as it went to a more comfortable level. She swallow everything and started to choke as she swallows some of the liquid the wrong was as it had bite to it, the girl never once ingesting a carbonated beverage in her life. Yua coughed and spluttered as her face flushed and she lent forwards covering her mouth, Setsuna slapping her friend on the back to her her clear her airways, softly rubbing whilst attempting not to laugh. The doubled over Yokai wheezed first a moment, quickly getting her breathe back, muttering a minor complaint about the need to breathe being a hassle as tears rolled down her face, freezing to her skin before being wiped of by her sleeve as she took herself a moment to recover. Awww I could barely even taste it through almost dying, being a mortal has it flaws, almost died eating food before even getting into the he village, how lame would that be! She whined whilst straightening up again and stabbing a new takoyaki ball and lifting it from its container.
The little Yuki-onna was now ready for what was to come, pooling the takoyaki in her mouth carefully and chewing on it, savouring the flavour as she shut her eyes I delight Ohh my gosh it’s delicious!!! I take back my complaint about mortality, it has it perks! YUM!!!! She swallowed the food then realized that the older Yuki-onna was staring at her with an annoyed look, pointing out that talking with food in her mouth was rude and ungraceful. Yua apologized, begrudgingly accepting that what her friend said was more than likely true and agreeing to take better care eating, using a napkin to wipe her mouth before placing another takoyaki in his mouth. Taking more care to not verbalize her enjoyment of the food, she still made a long vocal noise of elation, chewing away and dabbing at her mouth with the napkin. She then picked the drink that had went down the wrong pipe making her unable to experience it, the bite of it was also another intimidating aspect as well. She instead took a quick sip from it and her eyes widened in surprise as she swallows it and took and minute to gauge the flavour, taking a second sip to confirm the interesting and sharp flavour of the grape Soda. What in the heck is this?!? It tastes like a grape sort of but really sweet and sharp! Sooda Pop huh? you guys should try this, lemme try yours if you got a different flavour!!! She announced handing the drink off to Setsuna to try, who also coughed on the drink much like her friend.
The three chatted amount themselves and shared what they had been given, spending about twenty or so minutes doing so. The crowd of yokai had been cut by about a third by this point as they had travelled up to the gates, the Yuki-onna all planned to go up last for the sake of the others, although if the rowdy Oni group maintained being dogged with the trio they might ride with them as a form of lesson to be taught. After finishing the initial food stuffs the three of them glided over to the stalls, specifically to the one Dale was now assisting with, the group realizing this was a father son operation... sons actually, their was a younger boy helping their father at the cart, keeping a generous distance from the Yokai and clearly nervous... this may sense to the women, it was a child after all, a human one at that and Yua and the rest were monsters in a child’s eyes. Dale waved at them and introduced them to his father as well as attempting to introduce them to his little brother but he was having none of it, clinging to his dad from behind. The three of them found this extremely amusing and cute and tried not to tease the child’s anxiety any further than it already was, instead cooing at the boy, Yua walking a little closer and crouching as she was the least intimidating of the three and aimed to coax the child over.
Hi there sweetheart, we aren’t scary!!! I’m Yua and I might be cold to the touch but I’m warm and also just a person like you, here’s a present from me to you!!! She said kindly, producing a rose of ice sprinkled in a tiny layer of snow in the hand she had that was extended towards the young lad. Yua grinned cheerfully at the child and was brimming with friendliness, using her younger appearance and smaller stature to appeal to the younger boy as non-threatening. After about fifteen seconds it became clear that this wasn’t working and Yuas expression faltered as Setsuna define her as to scary even for the kid, Yua responded with a sulking complaint of annoyance and stood up straight, not withdrawing her hand by looking at Setsuna and beginning to get at her for making such a joke. The other Yuki-onna, Dale and his father laughed at this commenting on how unrestrained the two of them were, this caused Yua and Setsuna to turn their attentions towards their compatriot with glares, Yua opening her mouth to express dissatisfaction with being laughed at but was cut off by something pulling in her sleeve.
Craning her head round puzzled she saw the boy had approached them and was gazing at the rose she had offered, pulling on her sleeve to try and lower her arm to get a closer look at it, staring up at her with wide, curious eyes. Yua smiled at the child, cocking her head and saying Hi sweetheart!!! You want this? She said smiling as she crouched down again and handed over the ice rose which the child hesitated momentarily due to shyness before letting her sleeve go and carefully taking the flower from her, expecting it to be super cold and discovering it wasn’t unpleasant to the touch and seemed fascinated That flower will never melt dearie and it’s all yours, it’s quite sturdy too but try and be careful with it! Hehe He’s a cutie! She said, directing the last part of the comment to his parent and older sibling. Dale prodded his little brother and pointed at Yua saying “hey, what do you say you miss Yua for what she did?” He prompted his little brother who looked confused for a moment before the meaning behind the words clicked, then turned towards Yua. “Tank you vewry much myss, It's pwitty!!” He said in adorable child babble which made Yua(and the other two Yuki-onna) melt a little over how cute the kid was as Yua snagged the child in a hug stating You are most welcome cutie!!! I’ll come okay with you some time if you’d like! holding the small child close, letting him go when she realized he was beginning to shiver and apologized.
The trio hovered around the food stalls, generally keeping a few feet distance between them and the warm products when not making a selection out of consideration. They tried many little meals and Yua and the other two yuki-onna created a quantity of snowballs and coaxed the child and any other present, yokai or not to participate, even a couple of the remaining adult Oni and cart handlers joining in, although the Oni didn’t seem to realize the intent was to let the children win, so they quickly shifted sides and began to assist the children as opposed to just produce ammo for the others. They stopped after about half an hour, the Yuki-onns being mostly spent by this point and out of breathe, moreso though because the last needed transport was coming meaning in only a few minutes the would be boarding and on their way. Yua and the others thanked each vendor for their kindness, giving them each a polite bow as they did so, leaving Dale, his father and sibling till last. Thank you so much sirs, the food was delicious and you’re kindness is appreciated greatly, we will certainly be seeing you again. They said one unison as they bowed and the Yua hopped over to the child and gave him a pat on the head and a smile, promising they would play again sometime. With that the trio boarded the aetherlines “compartment/carriage?” Taking seats at the furthest point from anyone else and waving at Dale and his family as they rose toward their new home, all very excited for this, and all the memories the ones made this day would be a prelude too.
