Somewhere in the Land of Water

Deep within the boundaries of the Land of Water, hidden amongst one of the many hundreds of islands that make up the country, there is a small unique collection and placement of rocks that cannot be broken or moved on a tiny island that seemingly only appears during the night of a full moon.

Upon the center most rock is engraving covered in deep crimson stains which reads:

"Only those of pure intentions can make the sacrifice of an innocent to appeal to the creator of all things.
Our savior who bound the nine demonic creatures and brought peace to our world:
    S____ku Kir_____ei."

As any study the engraving, it is quite clear that the text is scratched through and the name of this savior is almost completely missing. Below the scratches, a more recent carving reads:

"With the blood of the children of the swirl pattern god, we bind our former savior who instead was a blight on our world.
Sacrifice other swirl pattern eye children as often as possible to keep him bound here. If they are not sacrificed, the blight will control the world once more."

It was said that back before the creation of the hidden villages that this place was used for ritual sacrifices to a powered being that could control the nine beasts that were unchallenged by any other inhabitants of the world. Now, there reads two different stories and none alive today know the truth of such things. If one were to study the stones long enough, it would be easy to determine that they were older than anything else around them... even the island itself.
