Name: L’sil
Age: 34
Nameday: 3542.06.06
Sex: Male
Sexual Orientation: ???
Weyr: Western Weyr
Rider Rank: Wingrider
Previous Rank/Craft: Farmer
Physical Description: L’sil was blessed even before impression - Tall, strong, lean, and handsome with dark, wavy hair that he sweeps back from a rectangular face with high cheekbones and brown eyes.
Personality: L’sil may be a farmer’s son, but he is a well-read and well learned one. He speaks softly, carefully, and with precisely chosen words. He rarely acts hastily and takes in a whole room and situation before the next step is taken in any given situation. While he isn’t immune to reactions made in the heat of emotional moments, it isn’t unusual for his default charming, smooth talking, and composed ways to open doors to mending up what disasters come from such fires. After all, doesn’t everybody have their bad days? Surely, he can be forgiven for his - and that he has pulled out all the stops to make himself a resource worth having (and in turn, has made sure anything that could be useful is within a mental arm’s reach) can’t hurt towards those ends either.

His charm, however, hides that what leads get into L’sil’s hands have an iron grip upon them - he has been the loving tyrant of his brothers, he is the steel grip that holds Atarith in line if he must, and if someone has caught on that he is using his charm to herd people with kindness? Well, he’s guilty as charged. He uses this same charming kindness to push his high expectations as well - people don’t grow better if you simply hand them the bar. It must be lifted higher. Higher. Higher. More than others, L’sil has extremely high standards for himself. It is not unusual for him to work himself stressed because of this or to have angry outbursts behind closed doors. Rarely in the faces of others - though those allowed close will know of such things. Frankly, he is unwilling to change in a chosen course of action or plan either, which lead to the blowup of his family and while it has done well to keep him motivated and on track...has also left him unwilling to cow to mend the broken bridge that is between him and his brothers.

Positive Trait List Charming, Intelligent, Resourceful
Negative Trait List Controlling, Demanding, Obstinate
History:Lufinsil was born first of seven to a farmer named Luranon and his two wives, Salina and Beela - and while any who were to look hard enough could guess which of the women was his biological mother, there was no such line drawn in the family. All brothers who would follow were brothers through and through and as the first born by 2 whole turns, Lufinsil was the boss. He was responsible for them, after all. If there was trouble, he had to fix or make it right. If there was defending to do, Lufinsil was the one both breaking up and ending fights. A loving tyrant to his brothers and diplomat to the neighbors in their hold. He would grow into a charmer, smoothing over things with words when trouble brewed stemmed from his sibling and even mending long broken bridges in his teenage years that had been broken in his childhood for his rougher handling.

Perhaps he simply charmed the Searchdragon that would take him off when he was 15 to stand before the clutch of a traveling queen at Ista Weyr. From that same clutch would hatch a handsome bronze who carefully set his clutchmates in line, herding them off towards the candidates, rather than each other’s throats. While a lovely blue showed some interest in Lufinsil, the young hatchling would be herded off forcefully - This one is not for you, brotherMine. He is mine, so it is best you search elsewhere to find yours, he asserted before turning his regard up to the boy. Surely, you can tell your Atarith is a much better match, Lufinsil.

Which, of a boy of discerning tastes, he did. Ista wasn’t the place to stay for long, though Lufinsil - L’sil - would for longer than he intended once his younger brother, Maranon, also came and impressed. After all, L’sil had to keep him from trouble just like all of the rest. Impressions would come and go, and once the dust had settled it would be 7 brothers and their 3 parents at home again with 5 dragons as well.

It was perhaps more than home should have - could have - taken. But they’d not all be united at home for long - 15 turns had spanned the time since Lufinsil had become L’sil and in none of that time had any of them prepared for Thread. It offended L’sil’s pride that he’d been caught unprepared. That he’d not considered it. And it was perhaps a kneejerk response out of anger that caused the following cracks in the familial foundation - “We’ll go to Western Weyr - they need able bodies.” he’d allowed no room for argument. Maranon - M’non - broke his way in and argued it anyways; “We should go to High Reaches - they’re going to be spread thinner because they’re helping prepare the other Weyrs now...and I’d rather stay alive with the winning team.”

L’sil’s commanding attitude and M’non’s unwillingness to bend split the brothers between Weyrs. A’som would join him at Western. S’nim would go with M’non to High Reaches. L’nil, Beelim, and Besilin….well…..

Settling at Western Weyr was chaotic - Atarith had opinions that L’sil held onto like the reigns of an unwieldy animal and the fight amongst brothers left the man as his own fortress even with A’som close and clearly trustworthy. But there was no time for that - L’sil had set his mind and he would, Faranth help him, become any pillar he’d be allowed.

Other: Time where 5 eldest brothers impressed is wibbly so that I don’t pigeonhole anybody into a set timeline (besides Maranon, whoops) of impressing a dragon or where their dragons were born. :Xc

Brothers: L’sil (written by me), A’som (written by Sam), S’nim (written by Tsu), Beelim (written by me), and Besilin (written by Fae). M’non and L’nil will be written someday if someone picks them up ;;.

DRAGON
Name: Atarith
Age: 19
Color: Bronze
Size: 91’
Physical Description: Atarith is a near ideal bronze - big, muscular, and nearly perfect in proportions, give or take that his tail leans on the longer side.
Personality: Atarith is a gentleman - mannered, proper, and dutiful. He is a bronze amongst bronzes, of course, and acts the part. He’d sees himself at the top and looking down, though less out of haughtiness (though he is) and more out of responsibility. It is, after all, the responsibility of those who are more fortunate to look out for those who are less so. But don’t think he will hold back his claws out of pity - should a ‘less fortunate’ need to be put back into their place for acting out of turn, he is happy to slap down a blue or brown who has acted uncouth. Greens, however, seem to be more likely to wrap this dragon around their claw - after all, a gentleman must be on their best behavior with fine ladies.
