Cell announces where his tournament is going to be held and spreads fear amongst the people of earth. Vegeta is overconfident like always, but at least he can put up a good fight and won't go down easily.

Goku analyzes Cell's power and knows that he cannot win, and yet is not worried.

Goku asks Korin for his take on who would win, and Korin thinks Cell would win. But Goku does admit he has a plan. He won't tell anyone, but he does have one.

Gohan goes to Chezke village to pick up some supplies for Chichi, but a mafia boss named Mr. Borboun is cheating the villagers there. Gohan gets the supplies, shows Mr. Borboun what he was doing was wrong after General Tao quit, then Gohan leaves with Goku back home.

Chichi finds an old photo album while she reminisces about how her son got his name. Then as Gohan, Goku, and Krillin were picking apples, Goku reminisces how Gohan made a hole in a gigantic apple tree.

After hearing that the royal military has been killed by Cell, Goku seeks out a new guardian.

Goku locates the new Namek planet and retrieves Dende who becomes the new Guardian of earth. Dende restores the dragon Shenron and gives him more power to grant two wishes instead of only one. Goku begins his search of the dragon balls so that he can undo the damage Cell has done.

Goku manages to collect 4 of the dragon balls when he finds that General Tao has two of them. Tao makes Goku solve three puzzle rings, which Goku does and earns the 2 Tao had. He finds the last one in a lake and now has all 7.

Goku, Gohan, Piccolo, Krillin, Trunks, Vegeta, Yamcha, Tien, Android 16, and the goofball Hercule Satan have all met at the Cell Games. Krillin suggested that Hercule fight first since Hercule is a complete a** that deserves to have his butt kicked.

Two more assholes show up. Caroni and Peroshki. Caroni, Peroshki, and Hercule all land outside of the ring, proving that they are losers. Now Goku is ready to fight Cell.

The fight between Goku and Cell begins and all they did is warm up until they were ready to stop fooling around.

The fight between Cell and Goku continues where Cell unleashed some borrowed techniques. He used Tien's split form technique where Goku had Cell pull himself together. Then Cell used Piccolo's special beam cannon, which missed entirely. Then, Cell used the denizen disc that Frieza used only to have it backfire. Then Cell tried a Kamehameha where Goku diverted it away from the planet.

Cell destroys his ring so that there are no rules and the last one standing is the winner. Then when it looked like nobody was going to win, Goku unleashes the warp kamehameha and blows Cells head off.

Knowing that he cannot beat Cell, Goku gives up thus shocking everyone.
