18 bribes Hercule to pay her 20 million zeni if she throws the match, which Hercule reluctantly agrees. Then, Trunks and Goten find Videl and hear the story of what is happening with Gohan, Goku, and Vegeta according to what Kibito told her. The boys fly off in excitement thinking that they will become super heroes if they help out not knowing that they are about to be in bigger trouble. Then Dabura reveals himself to being the stage 3 fighter and Gohan begins his fight with the demon king after being transported magically to a planet similar to earth.

Dabura and Gohan fight, but because Gohan is taking so long to finish Dabura off, Vegeta is losing patience and Dabura knows it. Dabura tells Babadi this and unbeknownst to the Z fighters, Vegeta is soon going to switch sides. Meanwhile, Goten and Trunks race towards Babadi's ship unable to control their hyperactivity.

Vegeta is brought under Babadi's control and after being transported to the Martial Arts stadium, in order to get Goku to fight Vegeta seriously, destroys a section of it and sends Hercule flying out of the ring.

Vegeta explains that he allowed himself to be put under Babadi's spell so that Goku would fight him seriously. And so, after the request to be transported away from people did Goku agree to this battle. Meanwhile the Supreme Kai and Gohan plan to take care of Babadi and hopefully Buu too.

Goku and Vegeta fight with great intensity that the energy being sent to Majin Buu's ball is insane! Gohan and Shin make it to Babadi and Dabura where the wizard and the demon king await Buu's arrival. Meanwhile Trunks and Goten have a little bathroom break while on their way to their adventure.

Thanks to Goku and Vegeta fighting beyond the level of a Super Saiyan, Buu is going to be set free without question.

Gohan tried to stop the hatching of Buu, but failed. Buu right now is a pudgey, blob of pink fat that acts all innocent and is wearing a diaper.

Goku is too distracted by Buu to fight Vegeta any longer so, after knocking Goku out, Vegeta agrees to destroy Buu and then continue the fight. Meanwhile the kids are heading towards where Buu was, but is not there yet. And Buu has killed Dabura and knocked out Gohan.

Gohan and the Supreme Kai were taken out by Buu, but are still alive. Goten and Trunks arrive at the statues where Trunks accidentally breaks Piccolo. Dabura whom we thought was dead had survived and is suggesting that Buu be destroyed before he turns on Babadi. But Babadi would hear nothing of it. Buu is preparing to eat Dabura.

Buu turns Dabura into a cookie and eats him. Then, the spell that Dabura put Krillin and Piccolo under wears off and so Krillin and Piccolo are watching Buu from a distance along with Goten and Trunks. Vegeta destroys Babadi's spaceship thus saving Shin from being eaten and vows to destroy Buu in order to save the world.

Vegeta and Buu fight, but after enduring Buu for so long, Vegeta is unable to keep up and is tied by Buu's belly fat.

Determined to finish the fight once and for all, Vegeta plans on sacrificing himself with self destruction and scattering Buu to the wind. Trunks and Goten have been rendered unconscious thanks to Vegeta, but Piccolo has carted the boys away from the scene with Krillin not far behind.

Even though Vegeta sacrificed himself in an attempt to rid the world of Majin Buu, it failed. Piccolo has an idea that might work, and the hope lies in Goten and Trunks, though it is unclear of what Piccolo has in mind. Bulma senses that something went wrong with Vegeta, but she doesn't know what he did.

Bulma, Master Roshi, Videl, Yamcha, 18, Chichi, and Marron go searching for the dragon balls to bring back those who have been killed by Vegeta at the martial arts stadium. Meanwhile, Goku has recovered and is getting some healing from Dende.

Bulma summons the dragon, but thanks to Goku, they were only able to make one wish. They wished all the ones who were killed that day be brought back to life. Goku plans on having his friends at the lookout and have Goten and Trunks try the Metamari version of fusion. Piccolo is supposed to continue teaching the boys once Goku returns to other world.
