Physical Description: Ko’do is tall, lean, and broad shouldered with an acrobat’s build and light brown hair and blue eyes. He boasts an always-cheery look to him and is usually smiling.
Personality: Some people are just born to be popular, and Ko'do is one of those people - he is high energy, friendly, and supportive and even without that he simply has a radiating charisma that makes him easy to approach even for a stranger. He's welcoming to outsiders in anything he may be doing. He's not bright enough to be scheming or particularly calculated either which simply adds a layer of authenticity to all of his interactions which has earned him many friends over the Turns.
Being the center of attention is Ko'do's favorite place to be, so having lots of friends, associates, what-have-yous in whatever places they may be suits him just fine! He loves admiration, but also seeks it. Which leads to him stepping out of line to show off if given a chance. He's more likely to simply call attention to himself. Both as a candidate and now as a full fledged rider he's been told off more than once for acting in his own interests. Being a show off is all good and fun when it isn't during drills. However, he's a show-off through and through. Just not always successfully. It is not unusual for one of his attention-seeking attempts to come back to bite him with failure, sending the young man into one of his infamous sulking fests. While he pushes through this with a drive to improve and do better the next time in quick enough fashion, it is painfully easy to tell when Ko'do is one of his moods. These moods can throw off his success in practicing tasks he already has proven he can do with success like a series of dominos. Which is a lot when despite Ko’do’s daftness he is very capable on all fronts as a rider. Not that the training of High Reaches leaves anybody slacking.
Ko’do has stamina in spades. He’s the sort of person who seems to never tire out no matter how hard he has gone all day and even after doing one exhausting looking task can be hooked into yet another one. Sure, he sleeps like the devil at night, but once the day has begun he seems to run at 200% capacity and doesn’t slow down - good for productivity and drive to go. This high energy is paired with a spontaneity that can be fun when he’s socializing safe on the ground, but is a horrible mix with his desire to show off and the fact he doesn’t exactly think things through.

History: Ko’do’s father was a bronzerider - looking at his mother, Goldrider Jahzli, makes that much obvious. The man, however, wasn’t kept around for long and Ko’do - Korado - wouldn’t develop the most paternal bond with the man despite inheriting quite a bit of name from him. Instead, what time wasn’t spent in the Creche with his fellow Weyrbrats was spent desperately trying to get (and keep) his mother’s attention. Something that did succeed in varying amounts and even to this day left him a bit of a momma’s boy - only fueled by the period of time where she was sent to Southern Weyr and therefore, away from him. But what attention he couldn’t get from either parent, he soon learned to spin the world around him into getting from other Weyrbrats, the occasional Crecheworker, and up and up. By the time he was 14, and therefore allowed to stand, he’d earned a solid reputation for being a showoff along with everything that came with it.
But all the showing off in the world wouldn’t draw the attention of any dragons in his first, or even second clutch that he stood for. Three, four, five would pass and he’d handle it about how anybody would have. Sulking. So much sulking, which really wasn’t new for him.
He’d be 19 before a very, very, very over-it brown skulked its way across the sands to him. He looked Korado over, then moved on to the other boys, occasionally looking back to Korado who had already resigned himself to being passed over and turned his attention brightly to the other baby dragons still out on the sands.
I guess it really has to be you, interrupted a voice, the young brown having returned and now circling the young man. “What?” he barely got it out before the dragonet turned his eyes up towards his with swirling rainbows of colored - I had to be sure it was not one of the others, you know, but you’ll remember that your Regiloth came to you first.
First and last.
Ko’do was only briefly saddened that his mother couldn’t be there to watch the pair become proper riders, but Regiloth would gently put that in its place. They could show her just how capable they were together, yes? While it would be Regiloth peeling his Rider’s butt out of proverbial fires through Weyrling training (and Wing drills, S I G H), enthusiasm was a powerful drug. Enthusiasm, and raw stamina, as Thread would return not too far off the heels of becoming fully fledged riders and High Reaches was needed and ready.
While the two have, thankfully, survived without much disaster upon them, Ko’do is proud to keep flying hard.

Name: Regiloth
Age: 5
Color: Brown
Size: 81’
Physical Description: Regiloth is long and lean, streamlined rather than strong. Everything about him screams speed, and while long, most of that is in his tail and neck. His wingspan is on the broader side and his headknobs are shorter and flatter than average.
Personality: Regiloth has put all of Ko’do’s very limited braincells in his pocket and is going to make sure they are put to good use. Where Ko’do’s high energy and enthusiasm lead to dramatic fits and spontaneous outbursts, Regiloth is there to reel them in and aim him towards loftier goals. If anybody has high hopes for the man, it is his dragon.
For his part, despite hatching unimpressed and reserved, Regiloth does have drive. He may lack ambition but as a support color he is content to let his rider take the lead of where they’re going, even if that makes his job keeping them on that path. This attitude extends to his Wing as well. In fact, he’s almost a nitpicky perfectionist about it and should his own support somehow be attributed, either rightly or by self deprecation, to failure he will stress and overwork to compensate for it. His intelligence only makes such things glaringly more obvious to him than it could another, and it will take his rider’s easier-going moods to keep him balanced.
