Physical Description: Niika is not delicate in any definition of the word. While not considered tall, her broad shoulders and strong build give her the impression of being larger than she is in presence. She has almost golden red hair that is constantly braided (and her braid game is strong) and dark blue eyes that almost look black unless in the right lighting. She has several scars from overly eager dragonets.
Personality: Niika may know more about you than you do about her - she is a quiet individual who is easy to miss unless she wants your attention and more often than not...she doesn’t want it. She may not be a shrinking violet, but she spends more time taking everything in than she does trying to stand out. Niika is very pointed with her observations and when she shares them, they are worth being listened to. These can be strong opinions about the things she sees, or saying things that polite company would bypass. But not all opinions make their way out of her mouth. Her filter is strong, but only as long as she herself decides it needs to be - nothing she says is by accident.
However, Niika struggles to think very highly of herself, quick to find the things that are wrong with herself through some lense she has guessed other people look at her through. Clearly there is some gaping flaw she has she just can’t find to fix to be so unwanted in her life, or so she sees it. This same low self-esteem also makes her prone to envy other people for the things they have that she wishes she could have for herself. Why can’t she have it too?
That said, she is the kind to suffer through her sadnesses after simple glimmers of hope - even if her heart is trampled all over she is capable of picking up the (envious and grudging) pieces to try and move forward - even if she has to climb over a large pile of fear and sadness to move on. While she may take it all with her, she is at least still moving forward - always.

History: Niika was born in High Reaches Weyr to a couple who would put their daughter into the creche and leave her to be raised like many children - under the feet of everybody else. Life was mostly uneventful - the same scraped knees as any kid, and eventually the same candidate chores as any other.
However, like many candidates, no dragon would come to her. After years of waiting - and hoping - she would move out of the barracks and have to find another niche for herself. At first, this was in the kitchens. However, over the last few turns she had found something she treasures more highly in the world than her broken dreams - and left the Weyr she spent her life in to find a better way to serve it. While perhaps older than those she will be learning with, she had made the choice to become a healer.
Despite this, she was still ushered back time and time again as a guest to watch future hatchings and it was at once of those that a blue approached the stands and looked up towards her - Come now, Mine... we'd make such a pair together if you'd only join me down here.. After a lifetime of waiting, she was up before he even finished asking.

Personality Hello world! Isn't today a wonderful day? Optimism and goodness seem to seep from absolutely every pore of Heleyanth who is simply happy to see you, you, and especially you! Heleyanth is perfectly happy to enjoy all of the little victories and joys in life - today wasn't as cold as yesterday, he found a nice sunny spot to enjoy, he got an extra bite of food. Everything is good! But in the darkest of times, this silver lining can be a double edged sword. While a joy of the little things can help ease one out of sad, dark places it can make one come off as you're not taking the weight of it seriously or even disrespecting their feelings.
Being nigh impossible to get down, Heleyanth is an enduring soul, capable of weathering bad and difficult times and tackling difficult tasks without getting in over their head. He rarely feels overwhelmed in any task - though that isn't to say he will handle each of them successfully. Not getting overwhelmed leaves Heleyanth likely to not ask for help and even more than that, he will allow himself to bungle a task with the optimism on the other side that hey! He didn't fail *entirely* so clearly this is fine! If not, he can do better next time, right?
However, Heleyanth does have a brain in his head, despite what his otherwise thoughtless demeanor could otherwise make one believe. A good attitude, even if a little rough in some places, attracts attention after all - and oh, does Heleyanth want to have attention. He lives for being noticed, even if just a little bit or in passing, and if being reciprocated for his own little gestures and actions of positivity. Failing catastrophically is also a good way to be noticed - and even bad attention is attention, isn’t it?
Looking good and being presentable is also a good way to catch and keep eyes on oneself. While human fashion is not one of their strong suits, Heleyanth will have the mind to play with ways to spruce up his own look. Even if it makes him look silly he will be the type of dragon to simply steal a fur off of his rider’s bed, toss it over a shoulder and ask how he looks. He’ll also be inclined to do the same for his siblings and fellow Weyrlings - and will also ooo and aaaah appreciatively over their own grand designs they may come up with as well. Why, doesn’t he have just the suggestion to make your ideas go even farther? Because he may not always have the best ideas on his own, but he can take the workings of something smart and make it simply fly.

Physical Attributes: Heleyanth is a lean, svelte dragon made almost entirely out of sweeping, graceful lines. He will never give off an appearance of being rugged, nor would he ever try to be.
Additional Notes: Heleyanth will have a strong interest in seeing his rider dress well - and while they may not have had an interest in fashion and fancy niceties before, their dragon will see to it they gain the right taste for it. He will also be particular about his riding tack and personal upkeep.
Heleyanth will claim to have little interest in flights - but really the idea of sheer showmanship will strongly appeal to this blue. He’s not entirely fond of the idea of being passed over and left wanting, however, and perhaps would rather be the one putting on a show and being chased than doing the chasing.
Why Me:
Well, why wouldn't Heleyanth want the woman who has waited for a dragon with such hopeful desperation? Would anybody else appreciate him the way she will? Her skills in observation suit his eye for grabbing onto things and wanting to take them farther. Her reservation and persistence will keep Heleyanth from leaving a task improperly completed - and Niika will hopefully be able to find the right leads to lead this boy down more productive paths. On the flip side, Heleyanth's eternal optimism will soothe Niika's sadnesses and his more outgoing nature will force the once-forgotten woman to come out of her shell. Because surely, next to him who wouldn't notice her?
