Physical Description: Pipadee for now is short. She hasn't gone through a growth spurt just yet - but if one would look into the lenses of the future she'll be a short, but strong individual much like her mother. Her skin is dark, marked with vitiligo like her fathers. Its particularly noticeable on her forehead, and splotched along her arms. Her dark, long curly hair has a few splotches of white from where it reaches her scalp. She takes care of her hair with utmost care, and often wraps it in scarves. She’s determined to grow it as long as possible (or until it annoys her too much).

She is slope shouldered and rod thin. The hand me downs she wears practically fall off of her. Thankfully she loves to wear overly large clothes, especially with sleeves that she can flap around her hands when she’s excited. Pipa is partial to bright, vibrant colors - sadly, second hand clothes aren't usually pretty so much as practical, she wants every scrap of cute clothes she can afford. She loves to indulge herself with buying pretty scarves or painted beads for her hair whenever she can.

Personality: Pipadee is a bit.. shy. She has friends, and enjoys her time with them, don't get her wrong, but she's not the sort to go out of her way to make new ones. Its completely at odds for her want of attention. She wants people to notice her new bright scarf, or a new hair cut - but she just chokes up! It's always easiest if someone new is a friend of one of her friends, she feels much more secure that way. If a more social friend makes suggestions, she's happy as a clam to do what they want to do! Granted it isn't something that gets them up to mischief. She does her best to stay out of trouble, but for someone so young sometimes trouble just follows.

She wants the attention, the approval, of just about anyone. This doesn’t make Pip the best judge of character. She worries far more about other people’s opinions than what’s necessarily good for her. If she’s to become the butt of a joke - and it makes her ‘friends’ laugh, she isn’t going to stand up much for herself. She’s prone to sometimes telling exaggerated (mostly outlandish) tales, to try and vie people into being her friends.

Pipa will never tell a soul your secrets! Her gentle nature and quiet way of things make her someone that seems rather trustworthy - so she has quite a few secrets saved. The only ones who may have heard such things are her firelizards. They’re a trustworthy flair - she’s sure they won’t tell anyone either. Her words are sometimes few, but mostly very cheerful. She wants to please the few friends she has.She doesn’t really talk about her problems with these people, out of fear she might scare them off with being too negative.

If she's in a new setting, she usually picks a friendly face and sticks by them nervously. That or sit alone and shove her nose down in a book and hope no one is starting at her! It gives her ample time to daydream - her most favorite of pastimes.Whether its about leaving home, grand adventures, or what's for dinner she's gotten lost in thought about it. She reads anything she can get her hands on, and loves any story that ends happily.

She inherited her work ethic from her mother. She doesn't need asked if a chore she's completing, she'll pick up a broom and sweep if something looks messy. Any project or assignment she tackles, she tries her best even if her grades don't always show it. She dawdles, running on what her mother calls 'Pip-time', unless she writes herself lots of reminders - she'll never be on time! She accidentally loversleeps - or gets so caught up in something that time just slips by her. This sometimes extends to chores, taking extra time to be sure they get done perfectly (but pencil in room to daydream).

History:Pip was born a bit accidently after a Flight Night Stand her mother had with a bronze rider. Her mother is a butcher, her mother's husband, who is definitely not a bronze rider, tends their herd of livestock. Her father, Ylzure, visits on her nameday making everything as awkward as you can imagine. The joke is her mother threatened to carve him up for dinner if he would just act like their child was never born. A joke… Pip thinks it's one anyway, despite the murderous glint in her mother's eyes when it comes up.

Pipa grew up helping her parents as best she could. Things understandably awkward with her mother's husband, as he's always been a bit harsh with Pipadee. Telling her she'll be a good-for-nothing like her father if her chores aren't done perfectly (they’re usually done just fine) or if she acts out. He’s been known to leave bruises when he can’t think of words cruel enough to hurt her. She can endure it, it’s fine. Just.. it hurts her chest so much when her mother seems never care about it. Her younger sister isn't told, or forced to endure such awful things, just because she’s not a child of someone like that bronze rider. She despises the unfairness of it, she hasn’t asked for any of this! But.. Pip adores her sister and could never hold it against the little one, but it can’t help but to sting.

It's a rare, lovely treat when her father Ylzure comes to see her or writes her a letter. She’s too young to realize there is so much more Yulzure could do for her as her father. She’s too far too rose-tinted glasses with him, because his absenteeism doesn’t have rude words or fists. Her particularly favorite memories are her marveling at how big her father's dragon is, and being dwarfed by riding straps after begging to sit there like a 'real dragon rider'. Every time she sees him they’re always doing something fun together. She does her best not to cry whenever he leaves, Ylzure always seems awkward about it, and she doesn’t want to scare him away from visiting. Can’t be too negative.

When the unfairness of things became a little too difficult to ignore, she let herself daydream bitterly about being taken to wherever her father lived. Would a creche teach her? Would he be kind to her? Would there be new kids to play with? It never coming to pass was a hard pill to swallow. One that she hasn’t fully processed, and might take many years to suss out the tangled web of hurt.

Pipadee has many letters from him saved, small cards and dried little flowers. She tries not think too hard about how he could have done more than a few visits a turn, otherwise the abandonment of two father figures might swallow her alive. Instead she focuses on better things. Brightly colored clothes, fun with her friends, the firelizard eggs her father has given her over the turns. She must remain cheerful, afterall.

Pip agreed at first chance after being searched. She'd of course miss her mother, but there's something about starting her own life that she adores.Maybe… to ride a dragon like Ylzure does. Not to mention her mom's husband she can completely avoid. She stays at High Reaches, diligent with her candidate lessons. She’s far, far happier making her own way in the world. Her future feels brighter, even with thread on the horizon.

At High Reaches, she met her darling little brown who grows by leaps and bounds everyday. She smiles fondly when she thinks of the joyous little croon Qyth gave, proclaiming her - his out of everyone in the world. She tried to pick him up in sheer delight but found herself too small - falling onto the sands with tears and laughter all the same.

Name: Qyth
Personality Qyth is a dragon of many ideas and talents. His playful, courteous nature easily draws in friends. He thinks he makes the best games, thinks of the funniest stories, and is so full of himself that he thinks everyone would be snout over tail to be his best friend. That confident energy is charming has him getting along easily with most on a surface level. He finds the best friends in more timid dragons, who need a bit of a boost from such a… big personality.

Qyth never has a bad word to say about anyone. On the surface his gentle, smiling words make him an excellent confidant and an attentive listener. Which he is, save for the fact that if he can use your secrets - which he just may if he ever finds reason to. He has the lofty expectations of himself. Perhaps a wingleader one day - maybe more. Qyth is never the sort to just be going with the flow. Qyth tries to make all that he does, serve a greater purpose to himself regardless of it being positive or negative. Rarely does he do something out of the goodness of his heart, and if he does the one must be rather special to him.

Somehow - he is apt at keeping friends. Perhaps they’re ones who simply enjoy his attention, or others who have a similar conniving nature to them. Whatever the reason, he enjoys being around others. He wants to be surrounded by laughter and easy going companions, and prefers not to be alone whenever possible. He’s known to tell tall tales on his ledge - or particularly spooky ones just to try and get ridiculous reaction out of his friends.

While dragons are naturally hierarchical creatures, Qyth likes to see himself at the top of that pyramid. He responds best to seeing sense in orders - rather than just be ordered around for the sake of it. It could very well have him competent in a leading role, as he’d enjoy the importance of responsibility - and explains himself thoroughly.

Qyth is a bit of a smug dragon. He loves to crow about Pip’s accomplishments as she isn’t so keen on doing so herself and she deserves to celebrate them. While of course he knows the sunniest ledges, and thinks himself to be the most handsome of browns - he doesn’t crow about himself - feeling that all who bask in his presence should simply just be aware of these things.

Physical Attributes: Qyth is quite a large dragon. His neck is long, and elegant. His headknobs are swooping, and slightly kinked in the middle. His wings are well proportioned to a dragon his size. While he’s young he keeps them tucked carefully onto his back, so he won’t trip over them and make a fool of himself. His tail is long, and more akin to a treebranch. Qyth is a lanky creature, preferring to tuck his long limbs underneath him. He’ll always be on the thinner side for a dragon, but his appetite is perfectly fine. Qyth has a bit of an overbite, and when he gets older and grayer he’ll be a bit long in tooth much like a feline.



Additional Notes: Qyth has no preference when it comes to things of romance. He’s looking for more of a partner in crime who can keep up with him, and those interested parties in the most handsome of browns (in his mind), should submit their application accordingly. Due to his large size, it will take him so work and practice to get a handle on just how he should aim his large plume of flame. He might have accidentally caused some burns turning his weylringhood!

Why Me: Pipadee and Qyth are push and pull. They exist on opposites planes with far different desires. At the center of Qyth and all his ambition is a great love for Pipadee who tried to make the best of out of the small amounts of familial love she was afforded. His is without conditions, and without limitations - she will be grounded by such a steadfast person in her corner.

Pipadee who wants any attention and focus on her, will have Qyth be willing to move moons and stars for her - simply because she deserves the best of all things. Qyth will easy lay down his own ambitions and desires to lift her up - because they as a pair are the most important of all things. Being bonded to Qyth has Pipadee seeing her own self worth - that she doesn’t just need anything but herself to be Magnificent.
