Physical Description: A tall woman who stands at Five feet ten inches tall, Dascyana is quite the striking figure. With long legs and a thin frame Dascyana can be described as statuesque. She is lean with a light amount of muscle making her lithe. Blonde hair that is constantly bleached more by the sun is long and ends just at her mid back. When working she normally wears it up in a braid though she does prefer to wear it half up and down with braids throughout it. Bright blue eyes are set in a round eye shape. Her cheekbones are a bit more pronounced though not enough to give her a gaunt or unhealthy appearance. Her lips are full and always upturned in a smile to either be friendly or flirty. Her skin, though it use to be paler, has turned a light tan thanks to spending as much time in the sun as she does.
Personality: From a very early age Dascyana has always been a social butterfly. She thrives on being around others and certainly enjoys being the center of attention. Quick to jump into any social situation she isn't afraid to speak to anyone and certainly has no fear of being put in to these situations either. Normally very friendly, as well as flirty, she finds it pretty easy to make friends, or at least get along well with people.
Surprisingly even though she is very social and enjoys that it doesn't mean that Dascyana doesn't have moments where she oversteps boundaries. She can be very callous about certain things and because of this she can be a bit insensitive at times. If she sees something about someone she might bring it up without thinking about tact. 'Your old hair style was better.', 'Oh you are dancing like that? Well, we call can't be great.' She really can be a bit of a 'mean girl' at times.
She has a special way of reading people, seeing through what people might be hiding at times. She is a bit more perceptive, able to tell a few things about someone, when it interests her. A lot of the times the only thing she finds interesting tends to be gossip or rumors. Though she can and well use this for something better, like helping her friends. If they don't want to talk about something bothering them and she is able to tell they are upset, she'll help by just being there for them.
When it comes to life Dascyana has, at times, bucked at a life that is too structured. She enjoys doing her own things and the things that she wants. Sure, she can listen to authority and doesn't have a problem with that, all the time. She just might moan and groan a bit every so often. She'd rather do a job or chore her way, especially if it's something that she might be able to improve the quality of or how fast it could get done. She also does respect authority, she understands there needs to be rules in society and leaders as well but she can't help but try to push the boundaries every so often. She will never do it if it would cause issue for others, or her friends of course.
When it comes to decision making as well as her actions, Dascyana has and always will be a very bold woman. She doesn't like to leave things to chance and never wants to have regrets either.

History: Born into an ENTIRE generational Family of Healers, Dascyana is a bit of a black sheep. Born in Fort Hold where she spent most of her formative years, Dascyana bucked against her mother's wishes for her to follow in her footsteps as Pediatric Healer. The young girl enjoyed dancing and certainly enjoyed the attentions she got as she did it. What attentions could one get being a healer after all? So when she was old enough and finally having gained her mother's reluctant approval Dascyana was sent off to the courtesan hall at Western Hold.
Once there and finally learning something she was interested in, Dascyana started to blossom and bloom. The young woman focused upon being a dancer, soaking in all of the information she could get. Making friends, while easy on the surface for the young woman they were not as easy to keep as she got into arguments with them or at the times when she was being insensitive. Wanting to be the center of attention also drew the ire of others as she would put herself into the middle of things.
Walking the tables and becoming a journeyman things didn't change much for Dascyana. She still enjoyed the attentions she gained from man and woman alike, it didn't matter to her as long as their eyes were upon her. It was during an engagement at a Hold that Dascyana was searched suddenly at the age of twenty. The decision to go to Western Weyr was quick for the woman to make because why shouldn't she try her hand at such a thing. If a dragon said she was cut out for it then she should at least try? If it didn't work out she could go back to dancing.
Of course the return of Thread has dampened that a bit with Dascyana wondering she she really wants to continue to go through with this but then the idea of being a hero, of having a dragon, reminds her of just how much more she could climb up the social ladder.
