Physical Description: Tall and lean, Besilin has strawberry blond hair long enough to braid and sharp green eyes. Working as a Vintner apprentice has added some upper body bulk and toned legs.
Personality: Curiosity, thy name is Besilin. He is eager to learn about the world and how things work. The idea that one change can cause a cascade of effects is amazing to him and he wants to know what all of them are. But it isn’t just objects that fascinate Besilin. People, emotions, and what makes someone tick also are of interest. He is maybe a little prying or meddlesome in trying to figure this out. But he pays attention and responds accordingly. He is polite and courteous about his actions. Mostly though, Besilin is relaxed about life. He is very informal about things and often very spontaneous. He can also be nonchalant to the point of dismissiveness. Being so relaxed that it doesn’t matter what people think of him.
But don’t make him angry. Besilin can be vicious when angry. His words become malicious and he will use all that knowledge about what makes someone tick against them. His is not a clean anger. It becomes savage, he loses his control, and he holds grudges about it. This resentment does not easily fade even when presented with logical arguments or contrition from the person. He does have a soft spot for his family and is more likely to not lash out, unless pushed too far.

History: Besilin was born the youngest (by only 15 minutes, shaffit) with five older brothers and one twin brother. His parents, Luranon, Selina, and Beela, still were able to give the affection and love that a child needs to grow up properly. Something fascinating happened when he was 5. His brother impressed. Then to his surprise and delight, so did his other siblings, with the exception of his twin. Not one to assume that he would impress as well (as much as he might like to), Besilin became a Vintner apprentice. It was fascinating work and he delighted in the way small changes effected the outcome so much.
When Thread returned, there was a great fight in the family. The dragon riding brothers had generally not followed any Weyr and had to decide where to go. Some said Western, some High Reaches. No accord could be reached and eventually the brothers split up between the Weyrs. This did not please Besilin, who agreed with going to High Reaches, and he began to form a grudge against L’sil and A’som who went to Western for dividing the family.
The division ate away at Besilin along with some envy over his brothers dragons. So when he was given the opportunity to stand and maybe impress a dragon at High Reaches, he practically jumped on the dragon’s back. He was also delighted as his twin was also at High Reaches Weyr. He still has the grudge and the envy, but the presence of some of his beloved family has helped wear down the edges.
