Tomo’s time with Takumi had been enlightening to say the least. What he had learned of the Jashinist’s goals… War was coming and they needed to be prepared for it. Finally left to his own device he had been directed to their accommodations where he found Kiichi sleeping. It was a little concerning Fuku wasn’t with him but maybe she was still putting her medical skills to some use? If she didn’t turn up he would find her later but for now he was fine with her being out of the way for what he had in mind.

Concerned as he was about the events, they had found themselves in the troublemaking cat couldn’t let an opportunity for mischief pass up. Kiichi was sound asleep, the perfect target for a sneak attack. Tomo took a running leap towards his poor cousin. At the height of his jump he shifted into his cat form and dropped directly onto Kiichi’s stomach. ”Wakey wakey sleepyhead." The purple cat purred as he waited for his cousin to come to terms with the rude awakening. As soon as Kiichi was properly awake he lept to the floor and strolled towards the door. ”No time to rest dear cousin, we’ve got a war to prepare for…“ He spoke casually, as if he was talking about little more than running the morning errands. The purple cat didn’t wait to see if Kiichi was coming before he took off out the door, searching for a good spot to spar. He trusted Kiichi would follow.

It didn't take long to find a disused lot on the edge of the town, a nice clear and quiet place where they could spar. Tomo shifted back into his human form and surveyed the location. "This will do just fine..." He finished talking to himself and turned to Kiichi. "The Jashinists are preparing for more attacks and like it or not we've chosen a side in this conflict. We're going to have to make ourselves useful and poor old Tomo isn't much of a fighter..." Of course that was a bold faced lie. Tomo was more than capable in a fight, although his tactics were a little unusual for his clan. "Maybe big bad Kiichi can give me some pointers?" He taunted as he motioned with his hand for Kiichi to come at him.
