Physical Description: Texiar is a tall woman, she stands at six feet and two inches tall, making her taller then many women and even some men. Her legs are long and her body has a very lithe set of muscles. Working as a Runner trainer and spending many hours riding them has kept her body lean and muscular. Though her complexion is naturally white when she spends much of her time out in the sun working it ends up tanning to a light brown naturally. Her hair is a dirty blond though most of the blond only really comes out and shows when she is in the sun. Her eyes are a deep blue and almond shape. She does her best to keep clean but Texiar is not afraid of getting dirty and enjoys spending time outside more then being stuck inside.
Personality: Texiar is not the type of person to turn anyone away. She is always open to making friends and is nice to anyone she first meets. She does have a tendency of being nice to the face of those she does not like, it's just the nice thing to do after all. Once you are actually friends with Texiar it can take a lot to lose that friendship and she is extremely loyal to her friends, her family and her home. She will always be there when a friend needs help and she will never abandon them or her home. She is a ride-or-die type of friends.
Friends and Family are the most important thing to Texiar, it makes for a very loyal creature as Texiar would do anything for those she is close to. This also extends to the Weyr because it is her home until she has Impressed or has to return home. While being loyal Texiar is rather independent, not liking to rely heavily upon others, although she is very quick to put down anything to help her friends. Tex likes to do things her own way, though she does understand that there are rules to follow and a reason for them. She takes great joy in the time she gets on rest days, the days she can do her own things, her own way or even when she wants to.
Blunt by nature Texiar does not pull punches when it comes to her friends, or enemies. She tells things how she sees them and is honest to a fault. She won't lie to a friend if there is something that needs to be said and when it comes to that she doesn't try and hide or worry about tact. With people she doesn't like, if it's well known, she won't hide it and just act nice for no reason, she will let it be known, especially if the other person does not like her as well. She does have a temper on her and it can be quick to anger her, which can be quite the sight. Texiar was known for getting into fist fights back home, most of them in defense of herself, friends or her family.
There is nothing that Texiar cannot do and cannot make it so that she can figure out a way to succeed. She can take a problem and make it something she can deal with easier. Back home Texiar was always the one finding new ways to work with what she was given, if there wasn't enough of something she managed to figure out how to ration it out ,or how to fashion a tool to get the job done with something different. She is pretty adaptive to change as well, even though she does cling to many traditions when it comes to family.
Knowing that there is nothing that she cannot figure out how to make something work, or find a new way to tackle a situation, Tex has a bit of an ego on her. Being the first born, and having helped to train a good number of winning runners for her father, Texiar knows that she is gifted and better then others. While Texiar doesn't act like she is above everyone, because she understands at the Weyr there is a hierarchy that has to be followed, that doesn't mean that she doesn't hold herself as if she is better then others. She knows that she has great opportunities ahead of her, no matter what.

History: Texiar is the first born child of a Tellani, a Racer, and Naxiar, a Runner Trainer. Her father is in a long line or Runner trainers while her mother's family was known for breeding and racing them. As a young child Tex spent all of her time at her father and grandfather's heels, working with the Runners and learning everything she could. From a very early age she knew that she wanted to spend a lot of her time with the Runners so when she was able Tex went to the Runner Crafthall. Tex spent a lot of time focusing on her studies, writing back to her father and grandfather every now and then but it was at the crafthall that Tex was able to see a dragon up close for the first time.
Seeing a dragon search out one of the other apprentices, Tex was struck by how similar to a Runner they seemed to be, though more intelligent and able to communicate as well. It started a small interest in dragons for her and when she was able, when a dragonrider visited, she would watch from afar when she was able too.
Thread returned when Texiar was twenty years old, she worried for her family but got word that the Dragonriders had managed to keep their cothold safe. It helped the interest in dragons grow to admiration for Tex.
At the age of twenty-one Texiar walked the tables and took the rank of Journeyman. She returned back home and started to work on training her own batch of Runners. It was at a gather with racing that Texiar was searched by one of the dragons there. Because of the admiration she had finding out there was a chance she might get searched and become a dragonrider was something she hadn't known until that moment she wanted. A chance to help protect her family and friends. She jumped at the offer with her family excited for the opportunity, having never had a dragonrider in the family before.
She has been at High Reaches Weyr since and is still currently waiting to see if she is picked by a dragon.
Other: The oldest out of five children. Family has a small cothold in the Keroon territory where they have raised and trained Runners to race for many turns.
