Physical Description: Tyara has purple-black hair, that comes about mid back. It is layered and has soft waves, loose curls near the bottom of her hair. She usually has her hair down, unless she is doing something where she needs it out of the way, then she will put it into a braid. She has gentle grey-blue eyes, that are kind and sometimes seem to carry the weight of the world. She has a nasty burn on the right side of her face, courtesy of the fire that could have cost her her life. The burn is covered by her hair, at least when she can help it, not wanting people to stare at her. She stands at about 5'4 and weighs about 120 lbs, so on the shorter side. She wears simple dresses that are pretty, but not flashy.

Personality: Ever since she was a little girl, Tyara has loved helping others. She would help her mother when she was cooking or any of her family with anything they would let her help with. That need to help others has only grown since life threw some tragedy her family's way, since she never wants people to feel that kind of pain, if she can help it. It is why she went into healing training, so maybe she could help people the way those who rescued herself and three other members of her family did. If there is any way she can lend a hand, you can be sure Tyara will be there to do so. Her helpfulness goes hand in hand with her kindness, since her need to help is driven by her wanting the best for everyone. She doesn't like seeing anyone sad or in pain, even more since the tragedies in her life. So if there is something she can do to make someone smile or brighten their day, then she will. This kindness and desire to help is not just for humans either, it extends to creatures big and small. If she sees a hurt firelizard, she will either care for it herself or take it to someone with more experience in firelizard care. While she is not crazy about bugs, she will help them get back outside if they get trapped inside. Kindness is the name of the game for this little sweetheart, knowing even little acts can make a big difference and could have far reaching effects.

Tyara is a very respectful girl, she will show people respect, feeling like everyone deserves it. Everyone has their place in Pern, from the cavern workers who keep them fed and the Weyr looked after to the leaders who make sure the right people are in the right positions. She will always give people the respect they have earned and worked hard for. This goes outside the Weyr as well (since she traveled around with her family), to the traders and crafters, as well as the leaders of the holds and halls. Not to mention, nature deserves respect too, since without the plants and animals, they would have nothing to eat or clothing to wear. Everything plays an important part of their world, which she has great admiration for.

Tyara tends to be very self effacing, not wanting any attention on her. She is known to shrink back into the shadows if people are complimenting her. Surely those compliments are for someone else or that person couldn't possibly have a crush on her. Someone is always better looking or more talented than she is, at least that is how she feels. So she will be hesitant when it comes to putting herself out there, even if others have said how pretty she is. No, she is perfectly fine blending in with the scenery and offering quiet words that are sometimes a little too quiet. This is a girl that doesn't want to make waves, she is perfectly fine letting others shine. She doesn't believe she deserves the same praise she gives to others, she is just a girl who is not special. She doesn't do well with others being critical of her or being hostile to her, it causes her to retreat into herself or behind someone she trusts. She relies a lot on those she feels are better at things than she is, she depends on others to help her.

This young healer turned candidate also tends to be quite submissive , willing to take the commands of someone else. If someone tells her to move, she will quickly scurry out of their way. She won't resist, even if she had been in the middle of something important. In her mind, her own work was not as important as them getting where they were going. She will always put someone else's desires or needs above her own, even if she really shouldn't. If someone wants her to do something, she will do it without question, the other is more important. It doesn't matter if this person is the biggest jerk in the world, she will do all she can to follow their orders. It leads to people easily stepping all over her and controlling her like some doll. She isn't good at sticking up for herself, just willing to do what anyone tells her to do.

In addition, Tyara is an anxious person, always worrying bad things will happen to herself or any of those she cares about. Her mind worries about the 'monsters' that might be just around the corner. Her mind had always been a little scared of the unknown, but after her father was killed and the fire, it seemed to be made even worse. She hates being alone, it scares her enough that she always wants to be around others (even if in the background). She is always double checking things or trying to make sure everything is alright. She fears the worst can happen at any moment, she has seen it happen. Don't be surprised if she is peeking out from behind her twin, mother, one of her other siblings, or someone else close to her. After all, it is safer when with others...right? Her mind thinks too far ahead, bracing from things before they even happen (if anything even happens).

Despite her anxiety, she is quite a loving person, who has no problems showing affection to those she cares about. She isn't afraid of hugging or giving small kisses on the cheek to those she loves. She will hold hands with She will take care of her family and friends if they are sick or just having a bad day. She will always back up those she cares about, even if it is from the safety of the sidelines or hunched behind them. She is always there for those she cares about, whether human or creature. As long as they know she is there for them with love and loyalty, that is all that matters to her. However, this also makes her clingy (along with her anxiety) and she tends to latch on to those she is close to. Please, she doesn't want them out of her sight, if she can help it, not wanting to lose anyone else.

History: Tyara was born the youngest of four (a few minutes younger than her twin brother) to Tylel and Izara, a pair of traders. Life seemed a little scary at times, but it was good getting to learn about the world as her traveled from place to place. She got to see the different areas of Pern, including the Weyrs whenever her parents had business there. She had loving parents that she loved with all of her heart and siblings that meant the world to them. She also had something of an extended family with those in the caravan they were part of. She didn't know what she wanted to be when she was little, maybe she would follow her parents as traders. Life was very good to her family for quite awhile.

Sadly, their world was turned upside down when she and her twin were just eight years old. It was late winter and her parents were delivering some supplies in Bitra. The place always gave Tyara the creeps, but it seemed to be going well. Then a drunk man came at her father, accusing him of cheating him out of his marks. Tyara hid behind her mother and stayed close to her twin, wondering why the drunk man thought her father would do such a thing. She listened as the man shouted at her father, who tried to tell the man that he was mistaken, that he wasn't who had cheated him. She watched in horror as the shouting turned into a duel, the little girl silently hoping her father would win and the mean man would go away. Unfortunately, that wasn't the case as the drunk man had a knife and when her father didn't expect it, he was stabbed and then ran off after doing such a horrid thing. The people of the caravan did everything they could to save one of their own, but to no avail, her father Tylel died that day. The young girl grieved with her family, holding tight to them and the other members of the caravan.

As much as it hurt, life went on for the family and their 'extended family.' They continued their travels to deliver goods to the various places, supporting one another as they always had. Winter melted into spring and spring blossomed into summer, finding the twins getting another turn older. It was hard not having her father around anymore, but she knew he lived on in their hearts and minds. Fall found them stopped in Keroon, having some dinner, when tragedy struck them once more. It had been a dry season and the caravan had been carrying some tinder and other flammable items, which culminated in an accidental fire as they cooked their dinner. It raged through the camp, burning everything it could to the ground. It even managed to get ahold of her face and caused the little girl to black out.

When Tyara woke, she found she could only see out of her right eye because her face was bandaged on that side. She found out from her mother that some dragonriders had happened upon their camp in time to get them out of there and bring them to Fort Hold. She found out that all those at the camp other than her mother, her twin, her second oldest sibling, and herself appeared to have been killed in the fire. Tyara remembered Itzlel and some of the others had gone to get supplies, she remembered her eldest brother telling her mother that before they had gone. However, when the dragonriders never brought him to where they were, she feared maybe he and the others that had gone with him might have come back during the chaos of the fire, dying along with other lives lost. So with no evidence to the contrary, she was forced to mourn once more. She spent time healing physically as best as she could and seeing mindhealers.

While Tyfri decided to get stronger, Tyara went in the direction of learning how to heal. She loved her mother and how she was a trader, but she felt she could be more use learning how to put people back together. Plus, they were right near the healer's hall, so why not help prevent what happened to her own family. So as soon as she felt ready and old enough (as much as she hated leaving her family's side), she headed to Healer's Hall to begin her studies.

Around her sixteenth nameday, she found out that Itzlel, or I'zel as he was now, was still alive. It seemed he and the others that had been with him hadn't gotten back to the camp until after the fire had died down. Tyfri had sent a letter to the family, telling them that both they and I'zel had impressed. Tyara was happy for both of her siblings and made plans to go visit them, wanting to see I'zel with her own two eyes, just to make sure she wasn't dreaming. While she was at High Reaches, a dragon searched her and her twin brother. She was scared, but was encouraged to be a candidate, following in the footsteps of her eldest brother (and maybe getting a dragon like both elder siblings got). Now she is here, learning all she can for the upcoming clutch of the golden Mictecath.

Other: She has a gold firelizard, Eliana (need to get her in for certing now she has name and owner planned), that she found hurt when the gold was just a baby. She nursed her back to health and she has been with her ever since. She also has a cloth doll her parents got for her when she was little, that was made especially for her. She also draws as a hobby, having always loved to do so and the mindhealers suggested she do more as an outlet.
