Comments: The event: i plan to mostly doodle this year
The art: so that said, idk why i put so much time into this piece. I mean, i know how it happened…. Art often goes through an ugly stage before it comes out the other side. And this one was in that ugly stage longer than I thought it’d be. XD So I just couldn’t stop It can still be polished… but I’m done
And as to earlier: I’ve used Imgur for years and organize the 100 day art by albums. Forced app update on iPad earlier. I had to leave an album link here earlier… (which doesn’t work in img tags). No matter what option I picked, the app kept giving me an album link. I just edited this post (hours later) from my phone. No forced app update. Got a direct link easy peasy.
Comments: The cutest dog purse advertised to me. It had a bunch of leather strips to represent the mop of dog hair. I saw the prompt, remembered the purse, and had to draw it. After I was done, I looked back at the ad. I got a lot closer to the original photo than I'd realized. XD Good thing I purposely used different colors.
Anyway, this was another fail in terms of my goal (quick art) for this event. Before I started, I knew that this fur wouldn't be quick... but I didn't think I'd spend 50 mins on this. I did a rough sketch first. This is inked. XD; And as messy as this is... I often drew the fluffs multiple times. I lost some of my hand memory. Still not satisfied with the fur I drew too sooo I'll just have to do more of that. And will. ... I haven't drawn much since last event and I feel rusty

Comments: I guess I’ll stop commenting on the amount of time I spent drawing after this since I’m continuing to spend more time drawing than I’d planned XD
I saw this DTIYS and wanted to have fun… I studied the original drawing and then redrew the concept from memory, just playing with shape language. Is this how I’d really draw this in my style? I mean, technically, it is what I did. XD But I don’t really like a lot of the decisions I made. So if I were really drawing this… idk… I’d fuss over the pose more. And shape language. That said, I’m okay with it. I don’t hate it Anyway, it’s a WIP (obviously). Not sure if I’ll finish it. Comments: I saw "onyx" and was all "teehee, I'll draw Onix (Pokemon)." Maybe like half of the time (ish?) was spent trying to draw its face at an angle. XD; I didn't want to give up. I'd fix part of it and then some other plane would be off. On repeat. Struggle. It wasn't that important. I picked an "easy" draw on purpose... so I switched angles

Comments: felt like mindlessly coloring. I liked a couple of the prompts today and didn’t want to waste them on a day where I don’t feel like creating a concept. XD; So this worked out well. Still a WIP.
Comments: I haven’t watched any of Aaron Blaise’s videos in a long time. I tried to do what I remember of his technique. I should try this same thing again after watching some videos I technically didn’t finish this… but I’m done

Comments: inspired by what I’d try to draw if I'd gotten the chalk out XD Tho, technically, I usually use different colors of chalk. Now I wanna attempt a typical peacock out on a sidewalk, but man, that’d be such a mess (if I did)

Edited: I pictured drawing a cat with a hair tie. Added squished in box for fun. … forgot to draw the hair tie. Realized it when I was filling out the post form. lol. So I fixed that rq WIP. I don’t feel like coloring… so saving it for when I do
