Favourite Chinese Dish!

Hey all, what are some of your favourite Chinese dishes? From which region of cuisine is it? Let's talk about food to see if this will fly; if not, bye-bye thread. sweatdrop

Anyway, because these dishes may not have an English name, please try to sound it out, eg. dan tat (=egg tart) or type them in Chinese characters. Try to describe it to us.

*thinking* smile .....erm..first let me introduce chu cheong fan xd .....erm...in english i dun noe the name....there is many kind of chu cheong fan....the normal chu cheong fan, yau ham chu cheong fan and hong kong chu cheong fan.....

Maybe you can show us a picture from somewhere if you can find one. I think I know what you're talking about. Are they white and smooth on the outside with pork on the inside?

I live on Chinese food! whee Actually there're so many yummy chinese dishes that i cant name any atm sweatdrop but still i think my fav has to be Sharks Fin Soup (i like it best when its made in chicken soup) <3 and im serious! xp

mawng gwa bo deen (sorry, I don't know what it is in Mandarin, I hafta say it in Cantonese). I think it's mango pudding or something. I also like mai chi, that dessert made with glutinous rice... but i do NOT like ha gow sew mai!

Heh heh! Two different kinds of foods there... Mango gelatin and dim sum. xd I like them both; separately of course.

There's alot of food >.<
um...mian(noodles in chinese,mandiran),Lo mei fon(no english name*-*) and... Don ton(egg nest) .. theres more but i can't think of any now sweatdrop

Mixed with some Vietnamese Causins(sp).
I love Ha guw and su mi.

Well if I have to settle for one fave, it'd be the Peking Duck. I can't get enough of that sauce. Mmmm... blaugh

yeah that one....but at malaysia....we choose to have pork in it or have prawns....the normal one is the plain one with no any kind of meat in it....the one that i say yau ham chu cheong fan is the one with sa kot in it....

erm..how expensive...how come i always eat that....i like won chai chii better.... 3nodding ...add some soya sauce than put some "marinated green chili"...the one that people normally eat with wan tan mee... xd
