Okay, let's all remember that Ithil's got a few...erm......interesting ideals sometimes, being a "moody teenager" *grins*
So, if you haven't already noticed, I made a joke of Laiqalasse in the LOTR subforum, but I do have serious questions about him.
How much detail is given about him? I have BoLT II and see some stuff in the Fall of Gondolin, but that's it.

Yeah, he was under Galdor's rule of the House of the Tree.
Does anyone know what he was? Noldor? Vanyar? Teleri? Sindar? (Just giving random ones here, I don't think it's possible for him to be Vanyar...) sweatdrop

All that I've seen is what you mentioned, in BoLT II. I haven't seen anything else mentioned, unless I missed something sweatdrop
