So there's this band, called Close to Home. Please just take a second to hear about it. They finally got their big break, a nationwide tour. But their Bass player Brad got cancer and a volleyball sized tumor in his lung so they had to remove it. The band decided to quit the tour to be with their friend and support him through this. The doctors gave him a less than 1% chance to live, he's overcame these odds. CTH was supposed to be playig Brad's return show in cincinnati on the 12th. Brad found out Sunday morning that he had cancer in his brain. Tuesday morning he had surgery, a 5 hour surgery was completed in 1 1/2 hours, He was supposed to be in the ICU for a week then move to a regualr room, Brad was doing so well that he was able to go home on thursday! I know that you know what It's like to struggle to make it and how it feels to go through that. This band hasn't gotten anytime to promote thier shows because of all the stress. Brad is recovering so well that he is sure he will be there, probably not playing, but he'll be there. Tell your friends about them and listen to them for yourself at their myspace or their purevolume.
