opinions on the blood brothers?

i love their lyrics to death if i read it like poetry, but i can't stand listening to them. what about all you guys?

I know what you mean though, I know a lot of people like you.
I often hear people refer to them as an 'acquired taste'.
But I love them.

heh, "acquired taste" fits it pretty well.
Anyways I haven't tried listening to them with the lyrics in front of me yet, I'll have to try that before i completely ditch the cd for the lyric book.

For me I either have to be able to tell what they're saying,
or it has to be catchy enough to make me want to go look the lyrics up.
For me the Blood Brothers did neither of those, but when i went to look up the lyrics anyways i fell in love. >.<

I love how no one is posting except us. It makes me feel like I'm having some ridiculously intelligent conversation that no one else understands.

In other news, I wrote my English Comparative Essay on a text we read in class vs. 'My First Kiss at the Public Execution' by the Blood Brothers. ^_^
Personally I think it was a brilliant essay. Pity my teacher probably won't... ehe...

well, i when asked to write an essay on one thing we could change in history, the teacher commented "i don't care if you talk about the holocaust or the time you DIDN'T DYE YOUR HAIR GREEN. JUST WRITE."
so naturally, i wrote about the time i didn't dye my hair green, a totally true story.

then for english i totally bashed the teacher in the intro to my autobiography, and i got put into the honors class for it.

yah well, i got kicked out of the nicest classroom ever with the sweetest teacher in the world and got stuck with the meanest teacher in the school because of stupid honors.
My old teacher always kept the room air conditioned, with a vanilla candle burning on her desk and mozart playing in the backround... so far i have had two tests out of three days with my new teacher. gonk

The line 'Love Rhymes With Hideous Carwreck' is quoted everywhere by people who don't even know who the Blood Brothers are.
