We stare dead straight into an oblivion.
Looking into the storm's eye.
In another time, place, reality.
We watch the smog set into their sky.

We ponder of those we hurt.
I've memorized their faces in my mind, but they've gone, murderously turned black.
And wonder of those we've ever loved.
As a swirling, unanswering oblivion stares at us back.

There's no one else here.
Who'd stand to watch me stumble.
We used to have hearts, our one was our all.
And we leave it behind, to decay with time, to let it crumble.

We sing out to the oblivion.
Of promises never broken and our wildest dreams.
We've unleashed them, thinking it's for the better.
But they've burned themselves to my memory, it seems...
