Joining the fad

Well thought I'd join the fad, I make this one dedicated to my longest and dearest friend Lee Mark White, genius manga-ka and writer, as he leaves for university I won't get to see him much if at all, we've known each other for 15 years 3/4 of our lives) and I hate to see my best friend... hell my brother go.

So this is dedicated to Lee and to all those of us, who's nearest and dearest have departed for a better life.

The songs of autumns yet to dream
Howl below the eternal spring
Life the event shared as we spread our wings
Now from our friendship the seperate halves gleam

Bringing with us imaginations so grand
All our child hoods spent with a master plan
Never dreamt we'd seperate
But each must walk his own, I understand

And through toil and work and all our beliefs
For one another we battled through
Our kinship long but always we knew
Our paths lay seperate like two autumn leafs.

Ok so I suck at poetry, I'm not a poet by nature, more of a story teller, but its something I had to let out. Besides, everyone else was doing it.

Well for me and my friend, its the end of an era, our grand dreams though, are something we will never give up on, and one day hopefully, bring us back into each others lives.

That made me cry. I thought about how I'd feel if me and my best friend ever parted ways. I really couldn't handle it. And we've only known each other for like 2 or 3 years.

OMG! thats so sad! oh no, you are a good poet! that was a good poem, just so sad! Id hate that, make sure you two keep contact...make your fwend come back for christmas or something!

But the last line doesn't flow very well, D:

i agree, the last line seems forced.
but it ties into the first line, creating unity throughout the poem.

i swear i sound more like my english teacher each day. *hits self in head*
