[Wingardia] No. 313 - Rin's Room.

Rin's Room.

As you walk down the hallway on the third floor, you come to a black door. Upon it are very elegant looking silver numbers, 313.

Rin's room is smaller than she may have liked, yet larger than she'd expected. Everything is pretty dark inside. Rather than bright, normal lightbulbs, hers are all either dark purple or black, or possibly dark blue. The furniature is black with elegant silver and gold decorations, and the walls and ceiling are both black as well. There's a pattern on the wall near the floor that gives it the appearance of being covered in white lace. The bed's quilt is black with lacy white patterns spread across, and the sheets beneath are white as well.

She doesn't have much jewerly, and the necklace she can't remove is probably to blame for that. She doesn't trust jewerly anymore. Her bathroom is void of almost all make up as she isn't too fond of that either. Her closet, however, is full of clothing. The vast majority is black dresses with different patterns of lace or ribbons upon them. She also has socks, varying between white, black, and stripes of both together, which usually come to at least her knees.

She doesn't have any pictures set around. Her desk and tables are bare except for a lamp, possibly. She doesn't really have anything personal around, unless you count her clothing. Her room is rather bare.

First arrival

Rin entered the dorm building, not really expecting much. She still had her two bags, one gripped in either hand, as she glared around through her strangely turquoise eyes. Her vivid purple hair fell slightly into them but she didn't push it out of her face, partly because her hands were full. She went straight up to the counter, staring at at droid seated behind it. Then she shook her head and frowned. "I need a room," she said shortly. She didn't bother explaining any further than that, and just glared at the android as he messed around behind the desk and then pulled out a key.

Rin plucked it from his hand, nodded her head, and then started down the hall. She climbed up a few stairs and turned, walking down the hallway as her eyes roamed across each door, checking the room numbers. Then she paused, coming to the one she'd been assigned, and entered slowly. She was a little bit impressed. It was more than she'd expected for a school dorm room, but it was still nothing compared to hers back home. "I suppose that's to be expected," she sighed as she entered further and then threw her bags onto the bed before plopping down in between them. She stared blankly at the wall in front of her, absently fingering the acursed necklace she wore.

After a few minutes she got back to her feet, heavy black boots clunking across the ground. She smoothed out her black, ribbon and lace colored dress, made sure her black thigh high socks were still fixed in place, and exited her new room. She made sure to lock it behind her as she walked down the hall, moving slowly with no place in particular to go. She thought she might head to the dining hall though.

Rin finally made it to her dorm, and went straight to her bed. She didn't even bother changing, and just flopped down in the lacy, ribbon covered black dress. She did manage to get off the heavy black boots though, leaving her socks on as she slid into bed and under the covers. "Just a small nap..." she mumbled to herself, closing her eyes as her head crashed into the pillow. She really was very tired. She'd just suffered through more social interaction than she had in years, and it was all done during a few hours! She sighed, shaking her head and sucessfully knocking her purple hair from the pigtail as she did. She didn't care though. It didn't matter. She was currently locked in her room and was assuming that no one would be coming in to bother her. She didn't know how anyone could. So with that in mind, she slowly drifted into sleep.

Several hours later, Rin suddenly awoke. Her hand instantly went to her necklace, fingering it gently before she sighed and pushed herself up. She wobbled in place for a second or two and then got to her feet, walking groggily to her closet. She was still in her fancy black dress, and decided she needed a change before going out again. So she shifted through the various dresses and clothing hanging in her closet, the vast majority being black, until she'd found another dress.

This one was also black, but was sleeveless and came almost to her knees. It was patterened with decorative white lace. She pulled on some black and white striped socks that came to her thighs, followed shortly by her heavy black boots. The final touch was a pair of gloves which were fingerless, and black like everything else. She pulled her vibrant purple hair into a ponytail and then started towards the door, not really sure where she was headed. But this didn't stop her, and she closed and locked it behind her, smoothing out the fluffy dress as she walked down the halls and out of the dorm.

Rin trudged into the dorms, climbed up the stairs, and headed down the hallway on the third floor. With every step she took, she wished more and more that she'd just let Razzer transport her back. But then she'd quickly push the thought away right after. She'd stayed to test the purification of her necklace, but it was still pretty pointless since she was scared to test if it'd worked. She didn't want to be taken over... She bit her lip nervously, and pushed open the door to room three hundred and thirteen.

She shut it loudly behind herself and then thumped over to the bed, tugging off her boots once she reached it. Then she let herself topple forward, lying the wrong way across the bed. She was still in her sleeveless black dress and long striped socks. She didn't mind though and, with her legs handing off the edge of the bed, she drifted into sleep. Her power really took a lot out of her. It was a wonder she made it back as quickly as she had. Pure stubborness and will power probably.

In her exhaustion, she didn't even notice that she'd actually left the door not only unlocked, but very slightly ajar as well.

Rin awoke the next day, very slowly lifting her face from the bed. She was still lying the wrong way across it, legs jutting off one end. She groaned and then rolled onto her back, slowly pushing herself up a moment after. She blinked a couple times, staring around the room and then rubbing at her eyes. She was groggy, but she wasn't tired anymore. That was a good sign...

Her hand moved up to her necklace, gripping it lightly as she bit her lip. She was afraid to, but if she didn't give it a try, she'd never know if it worked. She sighed heavily and forced herself to her feet, walking slowly to her bathroom. Her black and white striped socks let her move silently over the carpet, and then made small tapping noises against the tiled bathroom.

She paused for a moment, and then locked the door behind her before coming to a halt in front of the mirror. She stared at her reflection, her eyes wide in fear. Then she frowned, closing them, as her hold tightened upon the necklace. Her hand slide to the back of her neck, and the other joined it, fingers over the clasp. She took a deep breath, and then slowly began to remove it.

Haruko smiled as she wandered down the hallways of the Wingardia Wing. She had gotten her dorm yesterday. Dorm #102 She was lucky. She had heard of where Rin's dorm was, as she had disappeared yesterday after their nap. She found the dorm finally and knocked on the door. It opened easily. The door was unlocked. She hesitated before walking inside. She could feel some of the energy coming from it. It was a dark energy. Something to kill a plant. Haruko felt uneasy in the room. She took another step inside. The energy was comng from the bathroom. She hesitated a bit before saying anything. "Onee-chan? Onee-chan...? It's me, Haruko. Are you in here? Your door was open so I let myself in..."

The energy was getting stronger. Haruko didn't like it. But she didn't want to intrude onto anything that Rin was up to. She sat on the bed and waited. It was slightly frightening to Haruko. Her dorm had been a bright powder blue and pink room, her two favorite colors. She lay back on the bed. She felt something would happen. Soon.

Rin bit her lip hard, starting to unclasp the necklace, when she suddenly froze. Her eyes opened wide and then shut again as her hands moved to clutch at her head. She staggered backwards, back colliding hard against the wall. She slowly slid down it until she was seated upon the floor, holding her head tightly as she tried to calm herself. "No, no..." she muttered fearfully under her breath. "Stop it, STOP IT!" She screamed the last words, knowing it hadn't worked and she'd just triggered the curse.

Then she was silent for a moment, just huddled forward slightly on the floor. After a couple seconds she very slowly rose back up to her feet, head still bowed to the floor and arms hanging limp at her sides. She swayed in place and then lifted her head, gazing blankly forward into the mirror. She walked forward, stopping only when she ran into the counter, and then slowly raised her right hand. It hovered in the air for a moment, fingers curled into a fist, and then slammed forward into the mirror.

Glass shattered, large cracks spreading out from the collision point and shards falling down to the counter and sink. Rin just blinked a couple times, staring at her bloody hand. Then she reached out, picking up a long shard of the glass. The edges cut into her palm and fingers, but she ignored it. She held it in front of herself, positioning it in front of her heart. Then she closed her eyes and slammed it forward, intending to impale herself. All this was done without a sound from her.

Haruko's eyes grew wide. She heard the glass shatter. She could feel the tears welling up in her eyes. Her big sister. Her onee-chan. What could be happening? She leapt up from the bed and ran to the bathroom door. She tried to open it, but it was locked. Perfect. She rolled her eyes and kicked and punched the door. Nothing worked. She grabbed her amber she had gotten from Demeter and dropped it onto the black carpet. It grew into a small tree. She picked it up and the trunk became a large ram. She smashed it into the door and it splintered into thousands of pieces, all of which were wooden. They were absorbed by the trunk.

Haruko looked around in the bathroom. The mirror was in hundreds of pieces on the ground and Rin's hand was bleeding. She was holding a large shard of the mirror in her hand and holding it in front of her chest. Haruko's eyes grew wider and she changed her trunk into a whip. She threw it at Rin's arm and it wrapped around it. Hopefully it would stop her.

Faye had a long night, she had not gotten any rest due to her studies, she was seriously behind after wasting all that time to look for Aia. She blinked leaning on a wall for a minute It wasn't wasted...it was worth it...you found her again, just like you promsied she told herself. She sighed standing back up and walking slowly, her eyes felt heavy but she tried her best to stay awake. It didn't prove to be too hard when she heard a really loud sound like a door being broken.

Her heart was racing as she soon found her own feet running as fast as they could, her bare feet making no sound. She didn't know why she was running to the problem, but after that incident of the fire, that seemed like all she was trying to do. It was almost like she was looking for ways to end her life faster and just get everything over with.

She ran into a dorm room that was open, a girl was about to stab herself with a large shard of glass but another girl was trying to stop her. The second one appeared to be younger and the look in her eyes reminded her of the look Aia would get sometimes. She shook the thoughts from her head as she hit her head and closed her eyes to think of what to do. Slowly she sat down by the door to the bathroom and calmly pulled out a small wooden flute, the size that would fit into her pocket eaisly.

She could control people's emotions but it proved to be harder under pressure, she closed her eyes her lips forming over the flute. A melody came out from it that sounded utterly calming and just made you want to stop what you were doing. This particular song was eaiser to play then stronger emotions because calming someone down was eaiser then making them fall for you. She just prayed that she didn't mess up a note, if she did then everyone may just become more angry.

Rin didn't falter even as the door burst open, and continued with the same motion, trying to stab herself right through the heart. Her expression was blank, eyes shut. But they opened again, looking down at herself as she felt something wrap around her arm. Her hand was pulled to the side, so she missed her heart, but instead carved a gash across her chest. It was somewhat shallow, but the red blood was slowly soaking the black dress she wore, in the areas right around the injury.

She blinked a couple times and turned to stare at the girl, Haruko, with completely expressionless eyes. But then they suddenly changed, full of hatred and anger. "You brat!" she shrieked, trying to tug her hand free of the plant. "Let go of me! Why do you interfere?!" She reached over with her left hand, snatching up the large shard of glass and began to try cutting through the plant to free herself.

But then Rin froze again, her eyes settling upon a girl who she didn't know. She was seated by the doorway, playing a little flute. Rin stared at her for a while, as if shocked, and then the furious expression returned to her face. "Why must you all interfere?!" she screamed again, but then suddenly froze. The glass slipped from her hand, covered in blood from the slices across her hands. Her eyes widened, looking blank again, and then snapped close. Her hands clapsed either side of her head, staining her purple hair red, and Rin suddenly staggered over into the wall, crouching down at the base and huddling up. She started crying, tears streaming down her cheeks and dripping to the floor. "Stop it, stop it..." she whispered to herself, though it was unclear whether she was talking to the two other females or to herself.

"You brat! Let go of me! why do you interfere?!"

Haruko's eyes burst at the sound of Rin's voice. The tears poured out of her eyes. The same sentence echoed in her mind over and over again. Rin had yelled at her. Her onee-chan. And her necklace had almost fallen off. Haruko blinked to clear the tears from her eyes. She didn't want to cry. But she couldn't help it. It was her second day at Ria and her only friend was trying to kill herself. Luckily, thanks to Haruko, she missed. She was still hurt, but she didn't die.

She looked over as a new girl wandered into the room. She played some music and Haruko fell to the floor, crying. She just wanted it to stop. She wanted onee-chan to get better. She didn't want anything to happen. She was tired of it all. Just make it stop. She sighed and cried some more as the music calmed down her feelings. She was still sad. And it was still happening. She looked up to see a small pool of blood creeping towards her from Rin. She didn't know what to do. Take her to the hospital? She couldn't do it by herself. She wanted help.

After another few minutes of the room being in silence but the music coming from her flute she paused. She glanced over at Rin who appeared to be at least not trying to kill herself, or how it appeared to Faye anyway. She then looked over at the younger girl on the floor, while Faye's personality was normaly cold, she couldn't help but melt at the girl, and felt like she wanted to help more.

"Girl, I don't know what happened, but let's take her to the shower first, and wash off her wounds. I'll carry her, just make sure to stay away from any shards of glass" Faye said, and walked over and smiled softly at Haruko then looked back up to Rin. Her eyes were harsher to her, she wasn't sure what was going on, but Faye had never broken down in front of Aia or any of her friends, she didn't like to see such weakness.

"You, I don't care if you don't want my help or that other girl, but you made her cry, that's not right" Faye said. She made Rin sit up slightly so that Rin could see Haruko, she knew that she would normally almost bite someone who tried to interfer in her own matters but she was clouded today. She then picked up Rin's arm and pulled it over her own carring her carefully into the bathroom and turning on the shower as she washed her wounds.

Rin remained huddled against the wall, clutching at her head with her heavily bleeding hands. The front of her dress was slowly soaking as well and her eyes were wide in terror, even though she wasn't moving otherwise. She was breathing heavily, almost like she was unable to catch a breath. It came in short, panicked intervals, not helping very much. She bowed her head forward more towards the floor as she suddenly seemed to realize Haruko was crying. Why was she? She wasn't hurt. Why was she crying?!

Then she felt her face lifted, and she stared at Haruko through her wide eyes in a terrified confusion. Why was she crying? Then Rin slowly looked over at this new girl, and soon after realized she was being pulled towards the shower. It was a delayed reaction though and she didn't fully know what was happening until her hands were under the water. The sides of her head were damp with blood from where she'd been holding herself, and her hands had deep gashes in the palms and fingers, the right worse than her left. And then there was the large gash across her chest... It looked like she'd be needing a lot of stitches.

Rin was actually shaking, tears still running down her face. She looked extremely confused as she tried to remember what had just happened. She still didn't know why Haruko was crying... But then it clicked. She'd shouted at her. Well, the spirit had shouted, but Haruko probably didn't know that. Rin bit her lip, glancing down at the necklace, which was still fastened securely around her neck. It hadn't worked... She wasn't able to get it off... She sighed shakily and glanced over her shoulder, wide eyes staring at Haruko now. "I-I'm sorry... sorry..." she mumbled, voice faint.

"I-I'm sorry... sorry..."

Haruko looked up and blinked out more tears. She couldn't stop them. They just ran out of her eyes. She was glad, however, that Rin was apologising. She was sure that she could explain it later. Right now she was just worried about getting her onee-chan better. She picked herself up and wiped some tears out her eyes. She was still crying. It was just happening. She shed some more tears and walked into the bathroom. She stepped over the pool of blood and looked into the tub where Rin was sitting. She looked like a ghost. Haruko knew what to do. She got some water from the sink and slowly gave it to Rin. She was bleeding heavily. She needed to replace the water.

Rin bowed her head, wincing slightly as the water that was meant to wash the blood from her hands stung the deep gashes in her palms and fingers. A dark stain was rapidly spreading down the front of her dress as well, dying the white lace a deep crimson. She was still crying, though not even aware of it any longer. She was extremely angry, at herself though. She'd let herself fall victim to the spirit again. Why was it she could never win against it?! She gritted her teeth, closing her eyes as another sharp pain was felt in her right hand, which was the one with the deeper cuts.

Then she sighed, again shakily, and slowly forced her eyes open again as she gradually became aware that Haruko was approaching. Her head was pounding and she felt slightly dizzy, but forced herself to stay upright. She felt disgusting, covered in blood. Both sides of her head were covered, caked in the quickly drying stuff, from where she'd gripped her hair seconds before. She blinked somewhat groggily at the younger girl, staring at the cup of water she held. Then Rin very slowly reached out with her left hand and accepted it, smearing blood across the glass. She had the sudden urge to smash this as well, but forced herself to stop and instead raised it to her lips. She took a small sip, and then a gulp, and then quickly drained the rest.

Haruko took a deep breath. She was still crying. Rin had finished the cup of water. She got more quickly and turned the shower up a little higher to fix clean the wounds faster. She wanted to help as fast as possible, and the other girl didn't seem to be doing anything. She got more water and brought it back to Rin. But she had no idea how to get any more help. How would they move her to the hospital? She felt helpless. She felt so small and useless. But she was helping as much as she could. She was tired and groggy from all the crying and emotions. She was a drained little girl. But she kept on helping. It was still morning. Only 8 or 9 o' clock.

She walked back to Rin and handed her the water. She didn't want Rin to bleed out or dehydrate. She blinked some more tears out of her eyes and looked down at Rin. "I forgive you..." she said.
