Of course I did. xD I may not belive in it, but it's more family tradition than religious holiday. That's the way I look at it. : D; And, the message behind it is nice.

Well, even my mom doesn't give presents. And she's the Christian.

I get presents during Christmas.

I also tend to blow all my money getting gifts for friends and family.

I like to think of Christmas as what it originally was before Christians decided to change it.

It was originally a Winter Festival. There was good food, gifts, lots of decorations...and families spending a day or two together...as a family.

I get presents... from my atheist family.

Yes, we celebrate this commercialised holiday even if it doesn't mean much, just because we can.

Oh, we don't just have a Christmas dinner. Being Chinese, we get two big meals at that time of the year because we have a Winter Solstice meal as well.

Like Easter, its a commercial holiday that was originally a pagan festival about giving and sharing food as a community so the group can survive through the toughest part of winter, actually Easter was pretty much just eating and mass orgies ... how I wish they had the orgy part still crying

so yes, I still get presents as its a tradition that streatches back to the dawn of civilization.

..Yeah. . _ .;;
I still do. However, every year my mother tells me to switch back to being Christian.. But I still do get presents.

Now, back on task. Isn't Christmas a commercial holiday now? Like, Easter, Thanksgiving..?

I still celebrate Christmas as a family thing. It was never a religious holiday to me.

The same with me, except I help set up the Altar of Chipped Chocolate Cookies and Lactation for the Big Red One...I dare not say more, for he knows when I am sleeping.

Oh, yeah, and we have a ceramic nativity on the coffee table. One year I'm going to smash that damn thing.

You know what really interests me?

People who believe in "Jesus" and "God" are technically celebrating thier "savior's" Birthday on the wrong day, during the wrong season, at the wrong time.

If you ever read the bible, it becomes apparant that he would have been born during the Spring. Why? The manger was full of infant animals...thus implying it was Springtime.

I always thought that to be interesting.

Wow...if you were sent to a world to save people from thier sins...wouldn't you be a little pissed that they celebrate your birthday 4 months too early?

♠ I was going to say something like that, but then you hit a bulls-eye on the target. ♠

My family celebrates Christmas, eventhough my Mother is the only one who actually believes in God (we are, technically, all Catholics)... and, of course, I always get gifts. I'm also addicted to Christmas food!

Let's face it, Christmas has stopped being a Christian holiday to become a Capilalist one a long time ago...
