Short story in 100 words.

[[ In Nomine Satanas ]]

Staring over the edge, I spread my arms as if they were wings. Looking down, the people move like ants through the city streets. My legs tremble uncontrollably like the convulsions of one much more sick than I, and it moves into the rest of my body. My thoughts begin to wander, to trials and tribulations past. Tears stream down my cheeks, and suddenly I feel an alien euphoria coarse through my veins; no longer am I scared of what lies beyond. I smile, I jump, and I fly with newfound wings. Maybe things aren't as bad as they seem.


I felt like doing something different, shorter and simpler than I normally do.
Ok, that's 100 words, and everyone feel free to post your shortest of short stories, no more than 100 words.

Very Very Well Written. You implied the story line well, but didn't come out and say, he is committing suicide. Using that technique added a whole new level of feeling to this piece. Because it was so obvious but masked with words. And that last line was just... woah. "Maybe things aren't as bad as they seem" ... seems to simplistic.. yet so true.

Thank you, I wanted to add that level of mystique, most obviously it seems he's committing suicide, a more subtle thought is that he is actually flying, but since it doesn't flat out say anything to that effect... I know you can't see it but I grinned like a devil as I read your comment.
