This is a sketch for another forum I am on. It is the Lafayette Anime and Gaming forums (thus the LAG thing...). They are doing a logo contest to put on t-shirts and such.
It's just a sketch and is very much unfinished. I plan on doing line art in Illustrator and coloring in photoshop. Any suggestions would be great and helpful! biggrin

get ready for Halloween...

ninja I don't know if bumping is allowed, but I wouldn't advise it, since this is a slow forum, and you're probably not going to get bumped off the page for several days.

Anyhoo...cute concept! Of course, I'd like to see it cleaned up, inked, and colored, but for now, it's good.
Anatomy: The main guy's head is a bit too big, and his right arm (our left...>__> the one you can see...) is kinda distorted. I'd also research hand anatomy, or if you don't feel like doing that, look at your own hand. The hand should be bigger. I'm not sure of the exact size...I'm guessing 2/3 of the size of the face. Also, only the joints in the fingers, not the tips, should be able to be seen from this angle. However, his character design (mainly the scar) is very original. :]
The girl's anatomy is pretty accurate, at least for anime.
<__< I would give you criticism on the gun, but I don't know how to draw those either.

xD I love the things in the circle...they're wonderful. xP That's samurai looks like Kenshin.

I can't wait to see it inked and colored! What colors are you going to use?

Take it from someone who has actually designed logos: background noise is not your friend. The two characters and the text ribbon should be the only thing there. Simplicity is the key to logos. I realize you want to incorperate the activities that are available, but should should incorperate them into the characters, not into the space behind them.

And I agree with the person above me. Take out "together". It is overkill.

Thanks a lot. The advice really helps. Sorry about the bump, i was a bit bored and being impatient. sweatdrop

i plan on doing the cleaned up line art in illustrator so i'll fix the problems that y'all pointed out. However, the text I have, i am not sure if that's what I want. I might make up something else. Suggestions are great.

For a logo, i completely agree and probably for the logo file, i will take those out. Perhaps, from a design standpoint (as in if it were NOT a logo), i'd keep those there. Perhaps as just a finished piece and not for the logo. I appreciate the advice.

For colors: not sure at all. I was thinking maybe stereotypical anime colors, cause well...it's anime. razz But I'm not all that great in coloring in photoshop (especially cel shaded style) so any advice and tips would be great.
