Here's a little trick I (and several other artists) do to draw faces. First, draw an oval--a little narrower towards the bottom where the chin tapers off. Quickly draw a line down the center of the oval (more like light wisp of your pencil, rather than a line made with pressure since you want to be able to erase it later on without much fuss), and cross it with another quick line across the center (width wise). Now there should be an oval with a [very] light cross inside of it. I've went ahead to draw a sample, so that you can understand the process better ^_^:
http://img525.imageshack.us/img525/1589/head1se4.jpgNext, draw in the nose somewhere on the center line (preferably towards the center of the area underneath the horizontal line and the chin area). Then draw in the eyes--following the line so they don't go floating off into space. Taper the narrow part of the oval to make the chin and shape the face.
