I use CG colouring, either cel shaded or digital painting. I'd like to get into painting and markers but I don't have the resources to do this at the moment and I haven't touched acrylic paints since I was 6 :S
I don't know any good tutorial sites, sorry. I taught myself everything. Perhaps try showing a piece of artwork of yours instead of just a tutorial? We can point out where a shadow or highlight should be etc. if you can't possibly figure it out on your own smile

Painting and markers are not the kind of thing you can really learn online. Especially painting. These things require vast ammounts of explanation and also visual representation of techniques. You need to see how the hand is supposed to move when painting. I suggest enrolling in a public class at your local community center or community college. You can also rent instuctional videos from the library.

I think it really depends what you're good at. I'm aquainted with most forms of coloring, and think that all of them require vast amounts of patience. I recommend that you stick with colored pencils if you haven't any experience with cg and want to do a good job of them, but it also depends on what you want to do with them afterwards, and what kind of effect you want.
