Just wanted to see if there are many other A7X fans who like CoB. I think they're amazing.

Alexi Laiho may be the best metal guitarist out there. All due respect to Syn, but before you disagree with me, take a listen to some of Alexi's riffs and solos. They're nothing short of ridiculous.

Best..? Doubt that. Listen to DragonForce and compare talent. Or even try to compare his stuff to Zakky Wylde from BLS.

But I like Children of Bodom and hate it when people mispell the word "Bodom" (i.e. Bodem).

Fav album is probably Are You Dead Yet?

Are You Dead Yet is damn good, but I think I prefer Hate Crew Deathroll.

It's kind of rare to even find COB albums in the US mainly because the band hasn't sold out yet like HIM or Rammstein.

You can find em if you look hard enough, but I don't mind. I'd rather have to buy CD's from amazon than share my favorite bands with posers.

Pretty much. I know that Sam Goody carries most of them but their way overpriced.

I was actually at best buy today and they had Follow the Reaper, the Trashed, Lost and Strungout EP and a few copies of Chaos Ridden Years.

I haven't heard all that much of their stuff but I do like what I've heard. The guitar is WHOA @_@. I wish I could play like Alex.

Yeah power metal tends to have some pretty crazy guitar parts.

Ok, first off, they're from Finland, not Norway.

Second, they aren't much like true Black Metal.

Third, what I meant by that was that their guitar riffing and soloing is power metal influenced. Children of Bodom are Death Metal, specifically Melodic or Melo-Death because of the influence of Progressive and Power metal on their keyboard and guitar style.

No one who actually knows black metal would even think of putting them in that category.
