Ermmm....It's really impossible to tell unless you ask them. I mean, unless they're totally obvious. Like...They always want to be around you, overly touchy, but even then....You can't know for sure. I had a guy who had a crush on me last year who HARDLY EVER TALKED TO ME!!!!! And I had a crush on him too....What a waste of time, right? whee

Aww...yes...that did suck...well my friends always think that there's soemthing going on with us...and they're like he's more active when I'm around, but i really can't tell because he's makes fun of everyone else...except with me..it's worst..

There really is no sure fire way, look for signs like,
- Blushing when around you,
-overly 'showy' when around you,
- Giveing you a present on your birthday, I know this sounds strange, but it's possible to tell, ofcourse it depends on the present,
- Stopping you in the hall to talk, and then saying it was nothing and acting like it really was nothing,
- a special glimmer in their eyes that twinkles when they LOOK, I repeat LOOK, at you,
- stumbling over words,
-playing or writing you a song, especially on the piano,
The list goes on, sometimes the simplist things go un noticed,

urrrrrrrrrrmmmmmmmmmmm i dont know how u can tell....... but look go straight up 2 them and say "do u like me or not" thats what i did and nothin happind soooooo do it or ur skrewd for life OKAY i think my work is done hear biggrin

Afew familiar signs:
-blushing alot
-always willing to do something for you
-tries to help you even when you didn't ask
-stutters or stumbles over their words with you
-talks to you either as much as possible or avoids talking to you as much as possible
-giving you things
If you don't want to ask, often enough your friends would be willing to find out for you. Generally they already know, though... >> *coughpunkscough*

Hmm, theres a lot of technical stuff you can watch for (dunno about guys, but if a girl likes a guy supposidly her eyes diliate) but the biggies to watch for is a change in behavior. If he acts differently towards you than to anyone else, its a sign. If he spends way too much or way too little time with you its a sign.
Unfortunatley, there's no one thing we can tell you. Guys show it in different ways, but it has the same meaning behind it. So I guess what you need to watch out for in not what he does but why he does it.
Or you could just have your friends ask. If you don't want him to know you like him back, just tell them to say that they thought he was flirting with you.

difference in behavior between with you and with someone else is the easyest I gues, also if he/she tries finding out who you like than that you also can be certain of it, but I gues that's obvious.

I have a friend who likes me so I have some pretty good stuff to go bye.
-He's always spending time with me every chance he gets.
-He's goofy around me when he's not normally.
-He does all sorts of little things to get my attention.
-He always offers to do things, like carry my books, or hold the door for me. (Acts very polite basically)

You hardly ever see it now. ^^ Me and my friend dated for awhile, but he likes to be clingy and I'm not used to being touched alot. It was never anything inappropriate, but it was kinda uncomfortable to be held so much....We're still friends and he still hugs me alot, but I think I'm getting used to it. I find myself hugging people more nowadays too but it's still uncomfortable sometimes.

There's nothing you can pinpoint. Some people do different things to get you to notice them. It depends on the person.
If someone likes you, sometimes you just know.
