Welcome.

I am Chani Sowha... Specialist Jounin for Infiltration and Assassination. Also an AnBu.

As you may or may not know, ninjas rely on 3 disciplines... ninjutsu, taijutsu, and genjutsu. Specializing in one or two of these disciplines can define just how you will be as a ninja. One can also be creative with a little spike in the punch. Gaidoku... poisons. That is what you will learn here. How to make it. When to use it. Avoiding it. You will learn various assassination techniques in regards to which suits your specialty... how to incorporate it with the 3 disciplines. You will also gain negotiation skills here. Brawn isn't always the best way to solve anything... or at least not the only means to an end. This requires quick wits and precise planning.

Apprentices must be active... if you apply for being a student then vanish for a month or so... you will be dropped from the list.

So... things you'll learn:

Poison Types/Use/Timing/Coordinating/Avoiding

"Good Public Relations"/Seduction/Keeping a low profile

You may use this as a sort of reference list for what poisons you would like to use and the best way to apply them.

Examples of Poisons (can be found in nature)

Sorted by how they should enter the body:

Wounds (apply to weapons):

Certain Snake/Spider Venom (paralysis,searing pain,death)
Curare (paralysis,death)

Ingestion (food and drink):

Oleander Leaves/Branches (heart,digestive upset,death)
Rosary Pea (single dose)
Castor bean (double dose near fatal for adults)
Lily-of-the-Valley Leaves/Flowers (irregular heartbeat/pulse,digestive upset,mental confusion)
Laurels (nausea,vomiting,depression,difficulty breathing,coma,death)
Deadly Night Shade (paralysis,death)

First problem would probably be getting the poison in the target. Weapons will depend entirely on your battle skills. The ones that need to be ingested however need more than just brawn... you need stealth and/or the ability to act. Those are a few of many substances that can be used. Also remember, there are certain types of venom/toxins that can induce different states without being fatal.. just in case you want/need to keep them alive.

I will list whatever info I can to help out with picking poisons... and I will give you assignments on how and when to use them... kind of like mini missions. I will grade you according to your poison choice/timing/creativity. I just need to know details as to how you would like to apply poisons in your style and I can help you from there...

You're the first apprentice then. Ok.. I notice that you're more of a distance fighter with a spear and custom shuriken... weapon-wise anyway. You have quite an array of useful Jutsus for this field. Spears are uncommon for stealthy fighters since they're hard to conceal.. unless you embed them in scrolls. These will take time to draw out. Since I was not your teacher at the academy, I would like to know a little more of how you would like to apply what you will learn here.

I would like to advance my knownledge of posions.

For fighting and for suicide tactics when escape isnt an option.

Anything to hinder the opponent more while using my weaponary.

And any good shinobi will learn as much as he can, never know what can come in handy with in the heat of battle.

That is an excellent way of thinking.

I guess I'll start you off with lacing blades.. If you're aiming more for hindering rather than death, I guess sedatives would be best advisable for your weapons. Carfentanil is used to sedate large animals... I would recommend lacing them with that. It will take some time to come into effect but the faster their heart pumps blood through their system the better. Handy if you're fighting or chasing someone.

As for suicides tactics, hopefully it will never have to come to that... I don't have anything particular for suicide situations considering that's more of a pyro-related field. You can do much more damage with an explosive suicide attempt than poison. Poison gas would probably be your best bet on this. Difficult to execute without risking yourself, but if it IS a suicide job... that is what I would recommend if all else fails. It will cover a greater area than most other poisons so chances are better.

*looks over notes and nods in approval*

Ok.. first thing I want you to try is this.. doesn't have to be answered immediately:

If you're target was on a tower about 20 ft. up, aware of your presence but unable to pinpoint your exact location... with 2 men watching... probably of chuunin rank... and you're about 200 yards away.. hiding behind foliage..for you, what would be the quickest way to land him with poison, without killing him and giving away your position?

Creativity would be what I'm looking for the most. How you coordinate jutsus without over-doing it. Only go for what you think is necessary. Less is more.
