Well, We don't know Lee's parent's, but Gai isn't his dad.
He is his role model, and he looks like him BECAUSE his is his role model. XP
But I think he could be the next Gai, just a whole lot more sensible and sane. XD

Well if yu remember one of the episodes where Lee was fighting, Garra, he was remembering, and Gai/guy was looking down and said to I belive Kakashi, "So thats the no talent kid" (or so how he said)

My theory is that they are, they both have determination to defeat someone, Lee has Naruto, Sasuke, and Neji, where Gai/Guy has Kakashi
