hmm...its good, but something about the neck throws it off a bit, maybe thats just me, its a bit long...umm, great detailing and coloring...i would want to work on the wings more, try looking more at birds wings and imitating them...umm, also, the hand to the left seems to be a bit masculine, feminine fingers are a bit thinner...other than that i think it looks pretty good, keep up the good work!

>.< Gah those dastardly hands! Well, I've started to actually use references now (Thank you Genshiken!) so they should look a little better soon...and thanks for the advice on the wings! *runs off to find references*

Oh, I like the clean style here! The lineart looks so smooth!

I have some suggestions for anatomy though. For instance, eyes are usually one eye width distance apart from one another. If you move the eyes a bit closer, then the usual proportions can be maintained.

Additionally, keep in mind that bottom of the palm to the fingertips takes up about one whole face width. The left hand with the whip could be extended a bit more. The right hand appears to have the right length, however, I find the joint between the hand and the forearm a bit awkward. I don't know how to explain it really. Maybe you could try going in front of the mirror to see how it looks? I'm also wondering where her left clavicle is.

Also, the head shape looks a bit strange to me. It helps to draw the person bald and then place hair on.

Umm...I hope these critiques are alright? If I sound too harsh, I'm sorry. ^^; I hope it helps though.

thanks so much! your advice is really helpful! I often draw my hands at different lengths depending on their positioning Xd (I'm getting help with that), and in the sketch she has both clavicles showing, but my friend said it would make her look a bit manly/bony so I just showed one. Thanks so much for the critique! I'll try to implement it on my next picture!

It's good work, and your coloring skills are not too bad. I would suggest picking up your favorite fashion magazine (or the closest one lying around) and copy hands out of there for your needs. Do you decide on the entire pose of a character before you even start the drawing? Somehow I get the impression that she doesn't know what she is supposed to be doing with her hands, but that may just be me. Keep up the good work!
