[Rented Tuxedos]

New year, new start,
New fears, old heart,
Darkness up ahead,
The light is truly dead.

Dying, planet earth,
No chance, of re-birth,
Doomed are future kin,
Our planet's full of sin.

Time is, running low,
Death is, sure I know,
I've cast my final stone,
Upon our empty throne.

Words fall, on deaf ears,
Brings out, our deepest fears,
Society on self-destruct,
It's safe to say we're pretty f**ked!

Just wanted to share this poem.

....This is a pretty good poem...But in the first stanza, the last two lines kind of went off rhythm..
