You have been suspected of hacking multiple accounts on Gaia
We have received a few reports of you hacking accounts on Gaia. In order to avoid an immediate ban, we require your password to check your trade history. If you take longer than 2 hours to respond to this warning, your account will be permanently banned. In that case, you will have a 2 hour time period to do so. If you choose to disobey, your account will lose all of its rights and your IP will be blocked from our site. Usually we do not ask for passwords but our server went down June 8, 2007 which took away our privileges of seeing peoples accounts. We also cannot update the message above the Pm's. That is why it still says never to give out your password. We need to know if you hacked anyone because if you did it needs to stop. If your password is not returned to us then your account will be banned. Please excuse the do not give out your password message above it will not go away until the computers get fixed.

---And i freaked out a little...and then i remember that a MOd would never ask for my password...so i report him. I check it profile and it seems that he's done that to quite alot of people....
Now the question is..."WHY?"

i can think of many obious flaws with that.
- the pw thing.
- if some computors went down then the ajority of gaia would go down.
-they dont give you a time limit to reply to them by. especialy not one as short as two hours. thats just stupid.
-they have all pws on record in files with actual paper just incase somthing like that dose happen. (or so ive hered)
- its not formal enough to be an official admin message.

People who hack do it to steal all your gaia gold and sell your items for gaia gold. They are too lazy to quest for their own gold. My 'friend' is a hacker, lol... i know how their minds work.

Some people don't report because they're embarrassed to have screwed up even after all the announcements and things. Others think that the mods won't do anything about it anyway, so why bother? Some also believe that the mods wont believe them, so why go to the trouble?
there are a mariad of reasons. Good for you for reporting it.
