I'm unsure as to how many of you may visit this forum in search of artistic talents or a thread to post and show off your own creative works.
Well, this forum has been a tad... quiet and we need to fix that and get more events and happenings going on here!

The solution?

A festival of creativity open to all!
The main idea of this festival will be to get more traffic and eventually more use of this galleries forum so that if you want avatar art or OC art or to hold a poetry contest and whatever it may be, people will check in and see it and participate.

So how will this work?

Basically, Jasae and myself are going to try and rally up some of the artists in Byako to take part to offer art services and hopefully even get freebies out there.
Personally, I will be working on generic freebies open for anyone to take as well as random freebie avatar art for those who participate in the festival.

Where is the festival taking place?
Well, as soon as everything is all outlined, it will have its own thread in this forum and it will be linked in the main forum in the "Subforums Updates" thread.

How long will this go on for?
I'm hoping a week or two when its underway so there's room for mini contests and generally to talk up the festival and get people excited about having a forum of private minishops to go to.

Is there anything I can do to help out?
Yes! Spread the word that there's going to be an art festival!
Advertise this, maybe if you have the ability, make some silly freebies or banners.
Anything really to draw people in and get this forum going.

If you have suggestions, let Jasae or myself know.
If you want to volunteer let us know what you're willing to do because we need your help to get this underway. =)

And here's my bit to kinda get some people in:
I do not have a lot of gold, but for artist who help out with the event,
I will draw a half body, coloured OC art for them AND a plushie of their avatar, also coloured.

I started out fine...

Silent fried her brain today. So she's going to make a promise she'll regret in about five seconds.
Silent promises that she will do a few pictures.
She will even put effort into making her gallery thread look nice.
Silent will NOT be opening a permanent shop. *a pointed glare goes straight to Jasae Bushae*
She will be helping out, as she reluctantly wish-washed over when it first came up.
Miss Michie can ask Silent for further things regarding this...

I suppose I can help out as well. I have a few more pics forJara to do and then I'm open. So yeah, I do character sketches and --->"BASIC"<--- photoshop stuff. I have no clue how to create those insanely good works of art like you see on deviantart and such but I am pretty good at character art so yeah, I won't charge too much (maybe even some freebies) for a couple comissions. (Jara and Jasea excluded!!!) Silent, I feel your pain as I have also been a victim of the two's comission overload. gonk

Actually: Jara isn't overly fond of my work. At least: that was the impression I got. She did like that doodle I did of Lutia, but from what I gathered, the expression was the only real catch.
JB... Now he can be maddening. I think he's out to replace Muses everywhere.... Break them so he can take their place.
wish I had photoshop...I was getting good at it when I had to quit.

Also: you, Ganturo Ginokun. You, and Time Puppet. I tried to draw Mitchie, but her box broke my head... Lead! I meant lead!
